WHAT IS A CHRONOLOGICAL 4 GOSPEL BIBLE?The Chronological 4 Gospels are the accounts of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, with a few verses from Acts and 1st Corinthians, combined in chronological form. This enables a person to read and study all four as a unit. One can read Matthew’s account of an event, and then read the same event in the other accounts. There are certain events that are only presented in one or two, but others are presented in all 4. A student of the Bible can now read and study how and when all the events occurred in relation to each other. Thus, a person’s knowledge and understanding of God’s Word should increase as the Holy Spirit gives the understanding.

Often, when witnessing, the adversary is able to trap people in controversies of beliefs. Thus, the witness gets side–tracked and becomes ineffective. It is written:
2 Tim 2:14–16–…STRIVE NOT ABOUT WORDS TO NO PROFIT, BUT TO THE SUBVERTING OF THE HEARERS. STUDY TO SHEW THYSELF APPROVED UNTO GOD, A WORKMAN THAT NEEDETH NOT TO BE ASHAMED, RIGHTLY DIVIDING THE WORD OF TRUTH. BUT SHUN PROFANE AND VAIN BABBLINGS: FOR THEY WILL INCREASE UNTO MORE UNGODLINESS.
2 Tim 2:23–26–Do not become involved with foolish questions. BUT FOOLISH AND UNLEARNED QUESTIONS AVOID, KNOWING THAT THEY DO GENDER STRIFES. AND THE SERVANT OF THE LORD MUST NOT STRIVE; BUT BE GENTLE UNTO ALL MEN, APT TO TEACH, PATIENT, IN MEEKNESS INSTRUCTING THOSE THAT OPPOSE THEMSELVES; IF GOD PERADVENTURE WILL GIVE THEM REPENTANCE TO THE ACKNOWLEDGING OF THE TRUTH; AND THAT THEY MAY RECOVER THEMSELVES OUT OF THE SNARE OF THE DEVIL, WHO ARE TAKEN CAPTIVE BY HIM AT HIS WILL.
1 Tim 1:4–Do not become involved with the following. NEITHER GIVE HEED TO FABLES AND ENDLESS GENEALOGIES, WHICH MINISTER QUESTIONS, RATHER THAN GODLY EDIFYING WHICH IS IN FAITH: SO DO.
1 Tim 1:6,7–Do not become involved in vain janglings, for it is written: 1 Tim 1:6,7–FROM WHICH SOME HAVING SWERVED HAVE TURNED ASIDE UNTO VAIN JANGLING; DESIRING TO BE TEACHERS OF THE LAW; UNDERSTANDING NEITHER WHAT THEY SAY, NOR WHEREOF THEY AFFIRM.
Titus 3:9–…AVOID FOOLISH QUESTIONS, AND GENEALOGIES, AND CONTENTIONS, AND STRIVINGS ABOUT THE LAW; FOR THEY ARE UNPROFITABLE AND VAIN.(KJV)
Heb 8:8–9–It is written, BEHOLD, THE DAYS COME, SAITH THE LORD, WHEN I WILL MAKE A NEW COVENANT WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AND WITH THE HOUSE OF JUDAH: NOT ACCORDING TO THE COVENANT THAT I MADE WITH THEIR FATHERS IN THE DAY WHEN I TOOK THEM BY THE HAND TO LEAD THEM OUT OF THE LAND OF EGYPT; BECAUSE THEY CONTINUED NOT IN MY COVENANT, AND I REGARDED THEM NOT, SAITH THE LORD.
Heb 9–1,2,11,14,15–THEN VERILY THE FIRST COVENANT HAD ALSO ORDINANCES OF DIVINE SERVICE, AND A WORLDLY SANCTUARY. FOR THERE WAS A TABERNACLE MADE; THE FIRST, WHEREIN WAS THE CANDLESTICK, AND THE TABLE, AND THE SHEWBREAD; WHICH IS CALLED THE SANCTUARY. BUT CHRIST BEING COME AN HIGH PRIEST OF GOOD THINGS TO COME, BY A GREATER AND MORE PERFECT TABERNACLE, NOT MADE WITH HANDS, THAT IS TO SAY, NOT OF THIS BUILDING; HOW MUCH MORE SHALL THE BLOOD OF CHRIST, WHO THROUGH THE ETERNAL SPIRIT OFFERED HIMSELF WITHOUT SPOT TO GOD, PURGE YOUR CONSCIENCE FROM DEAD WORKS TO SERVE THE LIVING GOD? AND FOR THIS CAUSE HE IS THE MEDIATOR OF THE NEW TESTAMENT, THAT BY MEANS OF DEATH, FOR THE REDEMPTION OF THE TRANSGRESSIONS THAT WERE UNDER THE FIRST TESTAMENT, THEY WHICH ARE CALLED MIGHT RECEIVE THE PROMISE OF ETERNAL INHERITANCE.
Heb 12:24–AND TO JESUS THE MEDIATOR OF THE NEW COVENANT, AND TO THE BLOOD OF SPRINKLING, THAT SPEAKETH BETTER THINGS THAN THAT OF ABEL. Also note Jere 31:31.
Lk 16:16–THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS WERE UNTIL JOHN.
Under the new covenant, those that follow Jesus as a result of repenting and by faith, receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. While there is much the Bible teaches about the Holy Ghost, suffice to say at this time, He strengthens us to overcome sin. Those that are led by the Holy Spirit, these are the Sons of God–ref Ro 8:14. These are the ones that are converted. These are the ones that are Born again.
Jesus is telling the woman that the place a person worships is not the issue. It is not limited to Mount Gerizim or Jerusalem.
Jesus continued by saying–
Jn 4:22. (YOU) (Samaritans)
WORSHIP (that) (YOU) (DO NOT KNOW). Jesus was telling her clearly that the Samaritans did not know or understand what they were worshipping. Their worship and their religion was a falsehood, no matter how much they used God’s name. In other words, they were not worshipping and following the God of heaven. They could not worship in truth. They were not saved. Note Jn 4:4 (Samaritan’s religion).
Indeed, Jesus also clearly tells in His Word, most of the world’s estimated 25,000 religions that their worship is a falsehood and is in vain. But they refuse to hear the words of Jesus in the Bible, just as the Sadducees refused to repent when He also showed them that they did greatly err–ref Mk 12:27.
Jesus tries to tell the lukewarm Christian church of today that it does not know its true condition. He tells today’s Christian church that it is wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked. The word naked means they are not clothed with the garments of righteousness. They are not saved. He admonishes them to anoint their eyes with eye salve, so they can see and repent. Jesus then gives us a picture of Him standing outside the door of today’s Christian churches, knocking on the door telling them to hear His voice and open the door, so he can come in. This illustration applies to both churches and individuals. In our personal research, about 80% of Americans claim they are Christian, yet Jesus is not inside of them. He is knocking on the door of their hearts, telling them to understand and repent, and open the door so He can come in. Those that overcome all their false ideas and false theologies will be able to sit with Jesus in His throne. Those that do not overcome will perish.
Regretfully most churches in this latter day generation are nothing more than “of the world” churches. They may look like the real thing, they may show much love, but try to correct them with God’s Word, and their artificial love quickly reveals that is all it is. It was the same in the days of Jesus.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches–ref Rev 3:14–21.
The Bible clearly shows that most people are deceived. Many people believe there is no God, yet the 100% accurate fulfillment of Bible prophecy proves there is a God, and the Bible is His Word.
The Bible perfectly predicted the rebirth of Israel and how it would happen. The Bible perfectly predicted numerous things that would happen after Israel’s rebirth than have been fulfilled. The Bible has told us there will be an event we call the rapture. There will be a tribulation in which the majority of the world’s population will be die. There will be a battle of Armageddon immediately following the tribulation. You can stake your life on it. You can willingly choose not to believe the Bible is God’s Word, but the cost to you will be eternal damnation.
From Mormons to Moslems, from Hindus to Buddhists, from Jehovah’s witnesses to Roman Catholics, from people that go to church to those that do not, from money, worldly possessions, pride, worldly addictions, and personal successes–they do not know what they worship. The world goes about in darkness, not knowing there is a literal hell–and they are headed in that direction! There is only one true worship. It is centered in the person of Jesus Christ, who is come in the flesh. It is centered in the Bible, the whole Bible. It is not centered in the Bible plus other traditions, writings, or new revelations. It is not centered in a person’s own distorted understanding of God’s Word, which he creates to satisfy his own desires and situations. Most people create their own falsehood, which they may call a religion, or they join some group or religion that meets their sinful or ungodly desires. Some are forced to join and believe in a certain religion under threat of death, such as Islam. Some may feel pressured to believe in and join a certain religion, because it is the religion of their parents or someone over them.
Some (a few) are called by the true God of heaven. He opens their heart and mind to understand the Bible. As a result, they repent of their sins and receive Jesus Christ by faith as their only hope of salvation. Afterward, they get baptized by full immersion in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. They bring forth Biblical fruits that testify they have repented–ref Mt 3:8.
Jesus also said–
WE KNOW WHAT WE WORSHIP. Note Jesus said “WE” worship. Jesus included himself with the Jews as one that worshipped.
Do you know what you worship? Or are you as the Samaritan woman who thought she was right, but she was deceived? Jesus is declaring clearly that there is a right way to worship, and there is a wrong way. The verse continues–
FOR SALVATION IS OF THE JEWS. Those words need repeating. Salvation is of the Jews. When Jesus used the words, “salvation is of the Jews,” He was not saying that all Jews were saved, but rather God had ordained that salvation would come through the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob–through Jesus. God had chosen certain Jews to spread the message of salvation both to the Jews and to the Gentiles.
Jesus was a Jew. The Bible was written by Jews. To the Jews the Scriptures were given first.
Those that despise the Jews, because of the crucifixion of Jesus, do not know the Word of God. It is written:
Lk 23:13,21–…Pilate,…had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people,…They cried, saying, Crucify him, crucify him.
Acts 4:26–27–The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ. For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, WITH THE GENTILES, and the people of Israel, were gathered together.
It was not the Jews that crucified Jesus, it was the Jews and Gentiles. It was the world. It was man’s sins that put Jesus on the cross, and as a result, salvation has come to all that believe and obey Jesus.
Those that despise the Jews do not comprehend the Word of God correctly and cannot be following Jesus. People that are against the Jews are walking contrary to the Bible, to Jesus, and to the God of heaven. Such are many churches and people in this wicked world and deceived, lukewarm generation. They speak evil of those things which they do not understand. Israel is loved by God. The day is coming (the millennium) when Jesus shall return and shall dwell in Jerusalem. At that time, the world will love the Jews. All that despise, or hate, or curse the Jews and speak evil against them will be destroyed—unless they repent.
The Messiah had to come through Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, through the tribe of Judah, through the house of David and the virgin Mary.
Ro 11:25–28–FOR I WOULD NOT, BRETHREN, THAT YE SHOULD BE IGNORANT OF THIS MYSTERY, LEST YE SHOULD BE WISE IN YOUR OWN CONCEITS; THAT BLINDNESS IN PART IS HAPPENED TO ISRAEL, UNTIL THE FULNESS OF THE GENTILES BE COME IN. AND SO ALL ISRAEL SHALL BE SAVED: AS IT IS WRITTEN, THERE SHALL COME OUT OF SION THE DELIVERER, AND SHALL TURN AWAY UNGODLINESS FROM JACOB: FOR THIS IS MY COVENANT UNTO THEM, WHEN I SHALL TAKE AWAY THEIR SINS. AS CONCERNING THE GOSPEL, THEY ARE ENEMIES FOR YOUR SAKES: BUT AS TOUCHING THE ELECTION, THEY ARE BELOVED FOR THE FATHERS' SAKES.
Gen 12:3–AND I WILL BLESS THEM THAT BLESS THEE, AND CURSE HIM THAT CURSETH THEE: AND IN THEE SHALL ALL FAMILIES OF THE EARTH BE BLESSED.
Nun 6:27–AND THEY SHALL PUT MY NAME UPON THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL; AND I WILL BLESS THEM.
As has been said, those that are against Israel are also against the God of heaven. It is not possible to be against Israel and the God of heaven and be walking with God. You cannot say from this time on that you did not know this.
Note: The author of this text has, by God’s mercy, been to Israel more than once on extended trips. As I recall, before I went the first time, I was told that when in Israel, if you would even fall down on a sidewalk, immediately there would be people around you to help you up. In my travels in Israel, I have found (for the most part) that their kindness, their generousity, their desire to help is even beyond what I had been told. I cannot say that for some of the rest of the world.
Jesus continued by saying–
SALVATION IS OF THE JEWS, YET MOST JEWS DID NOT BELIEVE IN HIMJn 8:12–14. Verse 12–THEN SPAKE JESUS I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD: HE THAT FOLLOWETH ME SHALL NOT WALK IN DARKNESS, BUT SHALL HAVE THE LIGHT OF LIFE. THE PHARISEES THEREFORE SAID.THOU BEAREST RECORD OF THYSELF; THY RECORD IS NOT TRUE. JESUS ANSWERED AND SAID UNTO THEM, THOUGH I BEAR RECORD OF MYSELF, YET MY RECORD IS TRUE: FOR I KNOW WHENCE I CAME, AND WHITHER I GO; BUT YE CANNOT TELL WHENCE I COME, AND WHITHER I GO.
JESUS TOLD THEM THEY WERE NOT SAVED BUT THEY REFUSED TO BELIEVE IT
TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE
Jn 8:17–19–IT IS ALSO WRITTEN IN YOUR LAW, THAT THE TESTIMONY OF TWO MEN IS TRUE. I AM ONE THAT BEAR WITNESS OF MYSELF, AND THE FATHER THAT SENT ME BEARETH WITNESS OF ME. THEN SAID THEY UNTO HIM, WHERE IS THY FATHER? JESUS ANSWERED, YE NEITHER KNOW ME, NOR MY FATHER: IF YE HAD KNOWN ME, YE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN MY FATHER ALSO.
Jn 8:21–(ye) SHALL DIE IN YOUR SINS: WHITHER I GO, YE CANNOT COME.
Jn 8:23–27–AND HE SAID UNTO THEM, YE ARE FROM BENEATH; I AM FROM ABOVE: YE ARE OF THIS WORLD; I AM NOT OF THIS WORLD. I SAID THEREFORE UNTO YOU, THAT YE SHALL DIE IN YOUR SINS: FOR IF YE BELIEVE NOT THAT I AM HE, YE SHALL DIE IN YOUR SINS. THEN SAID THEY UNTO HIM, WHO ART THOU? AND JESUS SAITH UNTO THEM, EVEN THE SAME THAT I SAID UNTO YOU FROM THE BEGINNING. ...HE THAT SENT ME IS TRUE; AND I SPEAK...THOSE THINGS WHICH I HAVE HEARD OF HIM. THEY UNDERSTOOD NOT THAT HE SPAKE TO THEM OF THE FATHER.
Jn 8:29...FOR I DO ALWAYS THOSE THINGS THAT PLEASE HIM.
Jn 8:32–34– AND YE SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH, AND THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE. THEY ANSWERED HIM, WE BE ABRAHAM’S SEED, AND WERE NEVER IN BONDAGE TO ANY MAN: ...JESUS ANSWERED THEM, VERILY, VERILY, I SAY UNTO YOU, WHOSOEVER COMMITTETH SIN IS THE SERVANT OF SIN.
Jn 8:37–47–I KNOW THAT YE ARE ABRAHAM’S SEED; BUT YE SEEK TO KILL ME, BECAUSE MY WORD HATH NO PLACE IN YOU. I SPEAK THAT WHICH I HAVE SEEN WITH MY FATHER: AND YE DO THAT WHICH YE HAVE SEEN WITH YOUR FATHER. THEY ANSWERED AND SAID UNTO HIM, ABRAHAM IS OUR FATHER. JESUS SAITH UNTO THEM, IF YE WERE ABRAHAM’S CHILDREN, YE WOULD DO THE WORKS OF ABRAHAM. BUT NOW YE SEEK TO KILL ME, A MAN THAT HATH TOLD YOU THE TRUTH, WHICH I HAVE HEARD OF GOD: THIS DID NOT ABRAHAM. YE DO THE DEEDS OF YOUR FATHER. THEN SAID THEY TO HIM, WE BE NOT BORN OF FORNICATION; WE HAVE ONE FATHER, EVEN GOD. (They were sure they were saved, but they were not) JESUS SAID UNTO THEM, IF GOD WERE YOUR FATHER, YE WOULD LOVE ME: FOR I PROCEEDED FORTH AND CAME FROM GOD; NEITHER CAME I OF MYSELF, BUT HE SENT ME. WHY DO YE NOT UNDERSTAND MY SPEECH? EVEN BECAUSE YE CANNOT HEAR MY WORD. YE ARE OF YOUR FATHER THE DEVIL, AND THE LUSTS OF YOUR FATHER YE WILL DO. HE WAS A MURDERER FROM THE BEGINNING, AND ABODE NOT IN THE TRUTH, BECAUSE THERE IS NO TRUTH IN HIM. WHEN HE SPEAKETH A LIE, HE SPEAKETH OF HIS OWN: FOR HE IS A LIAR, AND THE FATHER OF IT. AND BECAUSE I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, YE BELIEVE ME NOT. WHICH OF YOU CONVINCETH ME OF SIN? AND IF I SAY THE TRUTH, WHY DO YE NOT BELIEVE ME? HE THAT IS OF GOD HEARETH GOD'S WORDS: YE THEREFORE HEAR THEM NOT, BECAUSE YE ARE NOT OF GOD.
Jn 8:49–59–JESUS ANSWERED, I HAVE NOT A DEVIL; BUT I HONOUR MY FATHER, AND YE DO DISHONOUR ME. AND I SEEK NOT MINE OWN GLORY: THERE IS ONE THAT SEEKETH AND JUDGETH. VERILY, VERILY, I SAY UNTO YOU, IF A MAN KEEP MY SAYING, HE SHALL NEVER SEE DEATH. THEN SAID THE JEWS UNTO HIM, NOW WE KNOW THAT THOU HAST A DEVIL. ABRAHAM IS DEAD, AND THE PROPHETS; AND THOU SAYEST, IF A MAN KEEP MY SAYING, HE SHALL NEVER TASTE OF DEATH. ART THOU GREATER THAN OUR FATHER ABRAHAM, WHICH IS DEAD? AND THE PROPHETS ARE DEAD: WHOM MAKEST THOU THYSELF? JESUS ANSWERED, IF I HONOUR MYSELF, MY HONOUR IS NOTHING: IT IS MY FATHER THAT HONOURETH ME; OF WHOM YE SAY, THAT HE IS YOUR GOD. (They were sure they were saved, yet they would not believe God himself, Who was clearly telling them they were not saved. As it was then, so it is today. The Scriptures testify that nearly all people are not saved, yet people cannot or will not believe the truth.) Jesus continued by saying, YET YE HAVE NOT KNOWN HIM; BUT I KNOW HIM: AND IF I SHOULD SAY, I KNOW HIM NOT, I SHALL BE A LIAR LIKE UNTO YOU: BUT I KNOW HIM, AND KEEP HIS SAYING. YOUR FATHER ABRAHAM REJOICED TO SEE MY DAY: AND HE SAW IT, AND WAS GLAD. THEN SAID THE JEWS UNTO HIM, THOU ART NOT YET FIFTY YEARS OLD, AND HAST THOU SEEN ABRAHAM? JESUS SAID UNTO THEM, VERILY, VERILY, I SAY UNTO YOU, BEFORE ABRAHAM WAS, I AM. THEN TOOK THEY UP STONES TO CAST AT HIM: BUT JESUS HID HIMSELF, AND WENT OUT OF THE TEMPLE, GOING THROUGH THE MIDST OF THEM, AND SO PASSED BY.
Jn 5:47–BUT IF YE BELIEVE NOT HIS WRITINGS, HOW SHALL YE BELIEVE MY WORDS?
Jn 12:48–HE THAT REJECTETH ME, AND RECEIVETH NOT MY WORDS, HATH ONE THAT JUDGETH HIM: THE WORD THAT I HAVE SPOKEN, THE SAME SHALL JUDGE HIM IN THE LAST DAY.
Jn 14:23–JESUS ANSWERED AND SAID UNTO HIM, IF A MAN LOVE ME, HE WILL KEEP MY WORDS: AND MY FATHER WILL LOVE HIM, AND WE WILL COME UNTO HIM, AND MAKE OUR ABODE WITH HIM.
Jn 15:7–IF YE ABIDE IN ME, AND MY WORDS ABIDE IN YOU, YE SHALL ASK WHAT YE WILL, AND IT SHALL BE DONE UNTO YOU.
Jesus is God. He told the unsaved clearly they were not saved, yet they would not believe Him. As it was then, so it is today. The unsaved will not and cannot understand they are going to hell, because the darkness they are in has blinded them from understanding. Satan can take God’s Word out of their hearts as fast as it can go in, because their is no good soil for the Word and truth to take root and grow. There is no childlikeness in them to be able to receive or truly understand the words of truth. Neither do they love to hear the truth. Neither do they truly love Jesus in deed and in truth. Satan, the father of lies, puts his lies in their mind and their hard heart, so they will choose to believe his lies rather than God’s truth; yet they will not and cannot grasp this until they perish.
Of the billions of people that are in hell right now, was there ever even one that truly believed they were going there?
The following verses show the mindset of the unsaved–what they believed and how they were absolutely positive they were following God and were saved, even though Jesus told them they were not. Ask yourself–does this fit me? If you do not have a humble, childlike, loving attitude when corrected by someone God sends to you, then you are just as these unbelievers. Unless you repent, you shall die in your sins and perish, even though you may be sure this is not true.
Scriptures showing that the unsaved believe they are saved.
Jesus said: MY FATHER…YE SAY, THAT HE IS YOUR GOD.
They said: WE HAVE ONE FATHER, EVEN GOD.
They told Jesus: THY RECORD IS NOT TRUE. In other words, they said the words of Jesus were not true.
They said: WE KNOW THAT THOU HAST A DEVIL.
NOW WE KNOW THAT THOU HAST A DEVIL. In other words, they were positive they were saved and that Jesus had a devil and was a liar. They were positive they were following the God of heaven. Yet, at this very moment, they are in hell, where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth; and they are crying out, “I am tormented in this flame.” Jesus had tried to correct them, yet they would not believe Him. He had warned them. Jesus said:
YE NEITHER KNOW ME, NOR MY FATHER.
SHALL DIE IN YOUR SINS.
WHITHER I GO, YE CANNOT COME. (In other words, Jesus told them they would not go to heaven.)
YE ARE FROM BENEATH.
YE ARE OF THIS WORLD.
I SAID THEREFORE UNTO YOU, THAT YE SHALL DIE IN YOUR SINS.
YE SHALL DIE IN YOUR SINS.
MY WORD HATH NO PLACE IN YOU.
YE DO THAT WHICH YE HAVE SEEN WITH YOUR FATHER (which is the devil).
YE DO THE DEEDS OF YOUR FATHER (which was the devil)
BECAUSE I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, YE BELIEVE ME NOT.
WHY DO YE NOT UNDERSTAND MY SPEECH? EVEN BECAUSE YE CANNOT HEAR MY WORD.
GOD’S WORDS: YE THEREFORE HEAR THEM NOT (or don’t understand them), BECAUSE YE ARE NOT OF GOD.
YE ARE OF YOUR FATHER THE DEVIL.
THE LUSTS OF YOUR FATHER (which is the devil) YE WILL DO.
YE DO DISHONOUR ME.
YE HAVE NOT KNOWN HIM (the Father).
Jesus told them they were liars, as He said, A LIAR LIKE UNTO YOU.
Yet, they remained positive they were right–THEY UNDERSTOOD NOT.
Jesus tells us these words:
Mt 6:23–IF THEREFORE THE LIGHT THAT IS IN THEE BE DARKNESS, HOW GREAT IS THAT DARKNESS! In other words, If you are absolutely positive you are saved when you are not, and you are not humble enough to receive the truth of correction from God’s Word or from one God sends to you, so that you might examine yourself in truth–then the darkness in you is so great, there is no hope you will be saved. Those that have reached this point probably have a reprobate mind. He that has ears to hear, let him hear. Today, if you will hear His voice, harden not your heart.
Now, those who are reading or hearing this, ask yourself, “Does this fit me???”
Jesus continues by saying–
Jn 4:23. BUT THE (TIME) (IS COMING). This is speaking of the near future–
AND NOW IS (come). Jesus had come, but had not yet been crucified. This was what we might call a transitional time. The old covenant was ceasing, and the new covenant was coming in. Thus, Jesus was saying that the time is coming and now is–
WHEN THE TRUE WORSHIPPERS. “True” worshippers is used because there are also “false” worshippers. Scripture tells us clearly that only a few are really saved. Thus, there are only a few true worshippers. True worshippers–
SHALL WORSHIP THE FATHER
AND IN TRUTH (or spiritually and truly). The Scriptures tell us: Mt 15:8–9–THIS PEOPLE DRAWETH NIGH UNTO ME WITH THEIR MOUTH, AND HONOURETH ME WITH THEIR LIPS; BUT THEIR HEART IS FAR FROM ME. BUT IN VAIN THEY DO WORSHIP ME, TEACHING FOR DOCTRINES THE COMMANDMENTS OF MEN. God seeks the worship of born again followers of Jesus Christ–those that will worship Him from the heart. Regarding worshipping the Father in Spirit and in truth, Jesus says–
FOR THE FATHER
SEEKETH (or wants) (THESE) (kind of people)
TO WORSHIP HIM. Note these most important words: The Father SEEKS OR WANTS this kind of people to worship Him–those that will worship Him in spirit and IN TRUTH (in harmony with the Word of God).
The emphasis of true worship is on the individual and the individual’s heart and mind. It is not a building, or a place. God is not seeking carnal or ceremonial worship.
here are many professing Christians that never worship Him. That is because they are not saved. They follow a Christian philosophy. They may go to a church that has a blind leader of the blind, or they may go to a church that has a born again minister. They sit in their church, hear God’s Word, sometimes may say amen and nod their head in agreement with what is being taught. They may sing in the choir, work in the church, give their tithes and offerings, but their heart has led them astray. They are spiritually blind, but because of the blindness they are in, they cannot rightly discern their true spiritual condition. They do not follow Jesus. These perish. They are not humble and childlike to godly correction.
As the time for the rapture approaches, true born again churches, ministries, and people can expect to suffer more and more for their faith in Jesus Christ. Expect more and more laws to be passed to hinder the spread of the Gospel and condemn the followers of Christ. Expect more and more public criticism to try to discredit or intimidate born again Christians that speak out against sin and stand for what is right, according to the Bible.
As birth pangs of a woman, persecutions are going to increase in frequency and intensity, until, ultimately, during some point in the tribulation–it will be so bad that no man can work–ref Jn 9:4. Criticizing those of a certain religion could get a person killed today, yet most have no fear in falsely accusing, criticizing, making filthy jokes, or blasphemous movies and artworks against the Bible, against Jesus, and against Christians.
The following commentaries should give information as to the meaning of what Jesus had said. It also shows that Satan wants to be worshipped.
Satan also wants your worship. Worship that is not done in accordance with God’s Word may be said to be worshipping the devil. Note the following:
Rev 12:9–…THE GREAT DRAGON…THAT OLD SERPENT, CALLED THE DEVIL, AND SATAN,…DECEIVETH THE WHOLE WORLD. Satan deceives the whole world. It started with Eve and then Adam. Satan’s power to deceive is far greater than people believe. Satan deceives people into thinking their head knowledge of God and the Bible is the same as being saved or born again.
He deceives people to trust in most anything, thereby causing them not to trust in the one true God–the God of the Bible. He causes some people to believe in nothing. He causes people not to believe in God, or to believe in themselves or to believe in any god that is not the God of the Bible. He deceives people so that they doubt God, mistrust God, or become mad at God. He causes people to trust in the things of this world. He causes people to disbelieve the Bible or parts of the Bible. He causes people to accept false Gospels, false writings, false prophecies, false prophets, false visions, false religions, false preachers, priests and rabbi. He deceives people so they believe in philosophy, psychology, astrology and evolution. For those that believe the Bible, he distorts its meanings in their heart and mind. Satan takes the word of God out of a person’s heart, distorts God’s Word in their heart and deceives them with riches, prosperity, cares of this life, the lusts of other things and the pleasures of this life. He uses a person’s own doubts, desires, depression, rejection, anger, fear, jealousy, envy, covetousness, and unforgiveness to draw them away from God and His Word. He even deceives some people to deny themselves in ways contrary to Scripture, such as living in seclusion in a monastery.
Radio, television, the Internet, magazines, books, clergy, religions, churches, organizations, associations, businesses, world and local leaders and governments, and people throughout the earth are all instruments Satan uses to deceive. His weapons of deception seem almost limitless. Satan is an expert at causing people to have wrong thinking. He is an expert in using a person’s own emotions to his advantage. He is an expert at causing a person’s emotions to fabricate lies while ignoring the truth. He is an expert in tempting and deceiving the entire earth. Satan puts lying thoughts into a person’s mind, then their heart chooses to believe the lying thought, and the person becomes deceived. Satan is the father of lies. He destroys and was a murderer from the beginning–ref Jn 8:44.
Why was he created? He was created to do exactly what he does.
So, how many people follow God? The answer is few, few, few. How many follow Satan and are deceived? The answer is many, many, many.
Paul said, regarding Satan–WE ARE NOT IGNORANT OF HIS DEVICES–2 Cor 2:11. He also warns, regarding Satan, with these words—2 Cor 2:11–LEST SATAN SHOULD GET AN ADVANTAGE OF US. Satan is looking for any area of your life or anything in your heart not yielded to God that he can use to gain advantage over you. He is looking to get a stronghold in your life to slowly deceive and blind you in some way. He may desire to use you in some way to bring down other born again Christians. His ultimate aim is to take you to hell.
Depression and hopelessness are two areas he uses.
These words show some of Satan’s desires. Jesus said to Peter in Lk 22:31,32–SIMON, SIMON, BEHOLD, SATAN HATH DESIRED TO HAVE YOU, THAT HE MAY SIFT YOU AS WHEAT. BUT I HAVE PRAYED FOR THEE, THAT THY FAITH FAIL NOT. It is by faith that we stand. It is through a lack of faith that we fall.
The fact that Peter tried to argue with Jesus regarding what Jesus had told him shows he underestimated the power of Satan to deceive. Peter said in v33–LORD, I AM READY TO GO WITH THEE, BOTH INTO PRISON, AND TO DEATH. Jesus told Peter v34–I TELL THEE, PETER, THE COCK SHALL NOT CROW THIS DAY, BEFORE THAT THOU SHALT THRICE DENY THAT THOU KNOWEST ME.
At another time, Jesus told His disciples how He must go to Jerusalem and suffer and be killed–ref Mt 16:21. Peter then rebuked Jesus, and said in v.22–BE IT FAR FROM THEE, LORD: THIS SHALL NOT BE UNTO THEE. Satan had such a stronghold in Peter at this time that Peter actually did not believe the words of Jesus. Jesus told Peter in v.23–GET THEE BEHIND ME, SATAN: THOU ART AN OFFENCE UNTO ME: FOR THOU SAVOUREST (or understandest) NOT THE THINGS THAT BE OF GOD, BUT THOSE THAT BE OF MEN. As Peter listened to the voice of Satan in his head, he did not believe the words of Jesus. Satan understands exactly how to use things in your heart to deceive you.
Those that are humbled and childlike to correction from God should go to heaven. Those that are not humbled and childlike to correction are in grave danger.
Verse 24 to 26–THEN SAID JESUS UNTO HIS DISCIPLES, IF ANY MAN WILL COME AFTER ME, LET HIM DENY HIMSELF, AND TAKE UP HIS CROSS, AND FOLLOW ME. FOR WHOSOEVER WILL SAVE HIS LIFE SHALL LOSE IT: AND WHOSOEVER WILL LOSE HIS LIFE FOR MY SAKE SHALL FIND IT. FOR WHAT IS A MAN PROFITED, IF HE SHALL GAIN THE WHOLE WORLD, AND LOSE HIS OWN SOUL? OR WHAT SHALL A MAN GIVE IN EXCHANGE FOR HIS SOUL?
Be warned. Multitudes of people like you once walked with Jesus, but then Satan deceived them in some unexpected way; and they ultimately perished to hell. Beware! Satan knows the things that be of men. He knows exactly how to put in your heart some form of wrong thinking or stubbornness that can cause you not to want or believe the correction that you need.
The more you hear, receive, and humbly obey God’s correction, the more you should grow. On the other hand the more you do not receive and humbly obey God’s correction, the more danger you are in. When man’s ways are right in his own eyes, hell may be at the end of the road. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Satan wants worship. Satan tempted Jesus to worship him. Satan will also tempt you to do the same. Satan does deceive the whole world, and the world is so deceived that it does not know it. Many do not even believe that Satan exists. He has deceived them.
Lk 4:5–7–AND THE DEVIL, TAKING HIM (Jesus) UP INTO AN HIGH MOUNTAIN, SHEWED UNTO HIM ALL THE KINGDOMS OF THE WORLD IN A MOMENT OF TIME. AND THE DEVIL SAID UNTO HIM, ALL THIS POWER WILL I GIVE THEE, AND THE GLORY OF THEM: FOR THAT IS DELIVERED UNTO ME; AND TO WHOMSOEVER I WILL I GIVE IT. Mt 4:9,10–ALL THESE THINGS WILL I GIVE THEE, IF THOU WILT FALL DOWN AND WORSHIP ME. THEN SAITH JESUS UNTO HIM, GET THEE HENCE, SATAN: FOR IT IS WRITTEN, THOU SHALT WORSHIP THE LORD THY GOD, AND HIM ONLY SHALT THOU SERVE.

Summary: Satan seeks to use every good thing and every bad thing about you, and your thoughts, emotions, your possessions or lack of possessions, your desires, your religion or lack of religion, or church, your ancestry, your childhood, your friends or lack of friends, your job or lack of a job, your problems or lack of problems, your spouse or lack of a spouse, and your sexual desires, against you in some way to ultimately cause you to perish for eternity. If you do not have the mind of Christ, if you do not deny yourself and pick up your cross daily and follow Jesus, if you do not understand and obey the Gospel out of a good and pure heart–then you are in great danger. Satan deceives the whole world. Out of the heart proceeds wrong thinking, and wrong thinking can lead to a person’s destruction for eternity.
The above list is small compared with what could be mentioned. The Bible is filled with numerous examples of how Satan works in people’s lives and how he is the example of deceitfulness, stealth, coercion and subtlety. In other words, Satan is the foremost expert at making people think and believe that things which are, are not; and things which are not, really are. At this time, Satan has incredible powers to deceive people, to stir up their emotions, and to make people believe and think the truth is a lie and that lies are the truth.
Paul said: We are not ignorant of his devices–2 Cor 2:11. Are you ignorant of how Satan works in your life? If you are a person that has a history of making excuses or are confident your decisions are usually right, then Satan also knows how to use these characteristics against you. Are you one of those he has deceived?
Satan is currently deceiving the whole world and accusing the saints.
People’s hearts are being tested to see if they will believe the lying thoughts Satan puts in their minds, which lead to eternal damnation (or the second death); or if they will believe the truth of God’s Word (the Bible), which leads to faith in Jesus Christ, and to being born again and to eternal life.
During the Tribulation period, which is soon to come, the Antichrist will reign, rule and be worshipped. Satan will be worshipped. Satan will also be cast down from heaven. As it is written: Rev 12:9–10–AND THE GREAT DRAGON WAS CAST OUT, THAT OLD SERPENT, CALLED THE DEVIL, AND SATAN,…HE WAS CAST OUT INTO THE EARTH, AND HIS ANGELS WERE CAST OUT WITH HIM. AND I HEARD A LOUD VOICE SAYING IN HEAVEN, NOW IS COME SALVATION, AND STRENGTH, AND THE KINGDOM OF OUR GOD, AND THE POWER OF HIS CHRIST: FOR THE ACCUSER OF OUR BRETHREN IS CAST DOWN, WHICH ACCUSED THEM BEFORE OUR GOD DAY AND NIGHT.
And when Satan is cast down to the earth, God’s Word tells us–Rev 12:12,13–WOE TO THE INHABITERS OF THE EARTH AND OF THE SEA! FOR THE DEVIL IS COME DOWN UNTO YOU, HAVING GREAT WRATH, BECAUSE HE KNOWETH THAT HE HATH BUT A SHORT TIME. AND WHEN THE DRAGON (which is Satan) SAW THAT HE WAS CAST UNTO THE EARTH, HE PERSECUTED THE WOMAN (which is Israel) WHICH BROUGHT FORTH THE MAN CHILD. Rev 12:17–AND THE DRAGON (which is Satan) WAS WROTH WITH THE WOMAN (which is Israel), AND WENT TO MAKE WAR WITH THE REMNANT OF HER SEED, WHICH KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD, AND HAVE THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS CHRIST.
Rev 13:7–8–AND IT WAS GIVEN UNTO HIM (the beast which is the antichrist) TO MAKE WAR WITH THE SAINTS, AND TO OVERCOME THEM: AND POWER WAS GIVEN HIM OVER ALL KINDREDS, AND TONGUES, AND NATIONS. AND ALL THAT DWELL UPON THE EARTH SHALL WORSHIP HIM, WHOSE NAMES ARE NOT WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE OF THE LAMB SLAIN FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD.
At the time of Armageddon (which is immediately after the Tribulation of those days), Jesus Christ will return. Satan will be defeated. He will be bound for a thousand years and cast into the bottomless pit. After the thousand years are fulfilled, he will be let loose again for a short time.
Then there will be one final rebellion against God’s people. Satan shall be cast into the lake of fire, where most of humanity shall also be. For time without end–Satan, the Antichrist, the False prophet and nearly all of humanity shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. It is written:
Rev 20:1–3–AND I SAW AN ANGEL COME DOWN FROM HEAVEN, HAVING THE KEY OF THE BOTTOMLESS PIT AND A GREAT CHAIN IN HIS HAND. AND HE LAID HOLD ON THE DRAGON, THAT OLD SERPENT, WHICH IS THE DEVIL, AND SATAN, AND BOUND HIM A THOUSAND YEARS, AND CAST HIM INTO THE BOTTOMLESS PIT, AND SHUT HIM UP, AND SET A SEAL UPON HIM, THAT HE SHOULD DECEIVE THE NATIONS NO MORE, TILL THE THOUSAND YEARS SHOULD BE FULFILLED:
Those also in the pit, (or hell) shall say: Isa 14:12, 16–HOW ART THOU FALLEN FROM HEAVEN, O LUCIFER, SON OF THE MORNING! HOW ART THOU CUT DOWN TO THE GROUND, WHICH DIDST WEAKEN THE NATIONS! THEY THAT SEE THEE SHALL NARROWLY LOOK UPON THEE, AND CONSIDER THEE, SAYING, IS THIS THE MAN THAT MADE THE EARTH TO TREMBLE, THAT DID SHAKE KINGDOMS;
Isa 14:13–15–FOR THOU HAST SAID IN THINE HEART, I WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN, I WILL EXALT MY THRONE ABOVE THE STARS OF GOD: I WILL SIT ALSO UPON THE MOUNT OF THE CONGREGATION, IN THE SIDES OF THE NORTH: I WILL ASCEND ABOVE THE HEIGHTS OF THE CLOUDS; I WILL BE LIKE THE MOST HIGH. YET THOU SHALT BE BROUGHT DOWN TO HELL, TO THE SIDES OF THE PIT.
Rev 20:3–AND AFTER THAT HE (which is Satan) MUST BE LOOSED A LITTLE SEASON. Rev 20:7–10–AND WHEN THE THOUSAND YEARS ARE EXPIRED, SATAN SHALL BE LOOSED OUT OF HIS PRISON AND SHALL GO OUT TO DECEIVE THE NATIONS WHICH ARE IN THE FOUR QUARTERS OF THE EARTH, GOG AND MAGOG, TO GATHER THEM TOGETHER TO BATTLE: THE NUMBER OF WHOM IS AS THE SAND OF THE SEA. AND THEY WENT UP ON THE BREADTH OF THE EARTH, AND COMPASSED THE CAMP OF THE SAINTS ABOUT, AND THE BELOVED CITY: AND FIRE CAME DOWN FROM GOD OUT OF HEAVEN, AND DEVOURED THEM. AND THE DEVIL (which is Satan) THAT DECEIVED THEM WAS CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE AND BRIMSTONE, WHERE THE BEAST (which is the Antichrist) AND THE FALSE PROPHET ARE, AND SHALL BE TORMENTED DAY AND NIGHT FOR EVER AND EVER.
Rev 20:11–15–AND I SAW A GREAT WHITE THRONE, AND HIM THAT SAT ON IT, FROM WHOSE FACE THE EARTH AND THE HEAVEN FLED AWAY; AND THERE WAS FOUND NO PLACE FOR THEM. AND I SAW THE DEAD, SMALL AND GREAT, STAND BEFORE GOD; AND THE BOOKS WERE OPENED: AND ANOTHER BOOK WAS OPENED, WHICH IS THE BOOK OF LIFE: AND THE DEAD WERE JUDGED OUT OF THOSE THINGS WHICH WERE WRITTEN IN THE BOOKS, ACCORDING TO THEIR WORKS. AND THE SEA GAVE UP THE DEAD WHICH WERE IN IT; AND DEATH AND HELL DELIVERED UP THE DEAD WHICH WERE IN THEM: AND THEY WERE JUDGED EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO THEIR WORKS. AND DEATH AND HELL WERE CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE. THIS IS THE SECOND DEATH. AND WHOSOEVER WAS NOT FOUND WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE WAS CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE.
The American Heritage Dictionary states that worship is (a) reverent love and devotion for a deity or sacred object. (b) The ceremonies or prayers by which this love is expressed (c) Ardent devotion; adoration. (d) Used as a form of address for magistrates and certain other dignitaries–example Your Worship.
The Century Dictionary (over 7000 pages) states: 1–to honor; respect; regard with reverence, respect, or deference; 2–to show respect to; treat with consideration or honor; pay one’s respects to; 3–specifically, to adore; pay divine honors to; show reverence to; with supreme respect and veneration; to perform religious service to; 4–to love or admire inordinately; devote one's self to; act to or treat as if divine; idolize; as, to worship wealth or power; also to perform acts of adoration; perform religious service.; to love or admire a person inordinately.
Strong's Concordance lists 5 numbers that represent the word worship in the New Testament. The one used in Jn 4:23, and the one most frequently used in the New Testament is #4352–(meaning to kiss, like a dog licking his master’s hand); to fawn or crouch to i.e., (lit. or fig.) prostrate oneself in homage (do reverence to; adore):—worship.
Others used are #1479–will worship–voluntary (arbitrary and unwarranted).
Also #2151–to be pious, i.e., (towards God) to worship, or (towards parents) to respect (support):–show piety, worship.
Also #3000–to minister (to God), i.e., render religious homage:–serve, do the service, worship (–per).
Also #4576–to revere, i.e. adore:–devout, religious, worship.
It might be said that there are two kinds of religious worship. One is worshipping the only true God–the God of the Bible, in spirit and in truth.
The other is not worshipping the only true God–the God of the Bible, in spirit and in truth.
True worship is to be done by born again Christians.
Worship may be said to be the total surrender of self to God. In spirit and in truth could be said to be at its peak, when every worldly desire is bound and all is surrendered to the holiness of God.
A person that truly works unto the Lord–this may be said to also be a form of worship.
It is written in Mt 15:8–9–THIS PEOPLE DRAWETH NIGH UNTO ME WITH THEIR MOUTH, AND HONOURETH ME WITH THEIR LIPS; BUT THEIR HEART IS FAR FROM ME. BUT IN VAIN THEY DO WORSHIP ME.
These people sound like they are born again Christians. They honor God with what they say. They worship God. Yet their worship of God means nothing because their heart if far from God.
Mt 15:9–In addition, these teach FOR DOCTRINES THE COMMANDMENTS OF MEN.
A person’s worship of God means nothing, if they teach or follow doctrines of men. Doctrines of men can include people’s unbiblical traditions and thinking, church or denominational traditions and doctrines, and worldly things that people say or are written in books other than the Bible. Many churches teach from both the Bible and other books in their services. Commandments of men can include traditions that are only partially true in the Word of God. Cults are filled with traditions of men, but so are most modern–day churches. Water baptism is in the Word of God, but baptism by sprinkling is a tradition of men. Praying to or through dead saints are traditions of men. Calling Mary, the mother of God, is a very false tradition of men. Believing in evolution, reincarnation, and purgatory are all traditions of men. Using prayer beads is a tradition of men. Claiming a person is born again, when there is no evidence of repentance or Biblical fruit, is a tradition of men. Just because a person claims to be a Christian, this does not make him a Christian. A person can claim to be a bird, and might even believe it in their heart, but this does not make it so. Many people claim they are Christian, because they attend a Christian church, sing in a choir, teach Sunday school, give tithes, or may be a priest, minister, rabbi or missionary. They may have a theology degree from some well–respected university. This is nothing more than unbiblical thinking and commandments of men, which people believe and churches teach.
It is written in Mk 7:6–9,13,21,23–Jesus said: WELL HATH ESAIAS PROPHESIED OF YOU HYPOCRITES, AS IT IS WRITTEN, THIS PEOPLE…IN VAIN DO THEY WORSHIP ME,…FOR LAYING ASIDE THE COMMANDMENT OF GOD, YE HOLD THE TRADITION OF MEN,…AND MANY OTHER SUCH LIKE THINGS YE DO.…FULL WELL YE REJECT THE COMMANDMENT OF GOD, THAT YE MAY KEEP YOUR OWN TRADITION. MAKING THE WORD OF GOD OF NONE EFFECT THROUGH YOUR TRADITION,…AND MANY SUCH LIKE THINGS DO YE. …OUT OF THE HEART OF MEN, PROCEED EVIL THOUGHTS,…ALL THESE EVIL THINGS COME FROM WITHIN, AND DEFILE THE MAN.
Indeed, as has been said, let it be said again. Satan deceives the whole world.
Regretfully, in this very deceived, lukewarm, Laodicean church age, most churches and people do indeed follow after doctrines of men and their own personal doctrines, rather than the doctrines of God. The list is as limitless as Satan’s ability to put false thoughts in people’s minds and hearts
Acts 17:23–FOR AS I PASSED BY, AND BEHELD YOUR DEVOTIONS, I FOUND AN ALTAR WITH THIS INSCRIPTION, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. WHOM THEREFORE YE IGNORANTLY WORSHIP, HIM DECLARE I UNTO YOU.
Many worship a God whom they do not know. Many worship “gods” called worldliness, pleasures, lusts, riches, cares of this life, selfishness, self–interests, prosperity, comfort, sex, laziness, and a god of their imagination. If you ask a person what is their hope, many will answer: I am a Catholic, a Presbyterian, a Methodist, etc. Many worship the God of their religion, denomination, or church–but not God, their Lord and Savior. They do not worship the God of heaven. They do not worship Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, Who came in the flesh. They do not worship the God, Who is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints–ref Ps 89:7. They do not worship the God, of whom the angel proclaims in Rev 14:6,7–Saying with a loud voice, fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come: and worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
They do not fear God as Joseph and Job did–ref Gen 42:18, Job 1:9.
They sit in the congregation of the mockers–Jere 15:17.
They do not worship the God that tells us these words: Ecc 12:13–Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
Acts 17:22,23–THEN PAUL STOOD IN THE MIDST OF MARS' HILL, AND SAID, YE MEN OF ATHENS, I PERCEIVE THAT IN ALL THINGS YE ARE TOO SUPERSTITIOUS. …GOD…WHOM THEREFORE YE IGNORANTLY WORSHIP, HIM DECLARE I UNTO YOU.
Many worship a god modeled after their superstition. Some of these falsehoods include astrology, breaking a mirror, walking under a ladder, crossing where a black cat crossed, and many other such superstitions and wrong thinking. They may worship the moon and its phases, the planets, sun, stars, galaxies, universe or other heavenly objects. Their heart may be secretly enticed by these and other such things. They may make wishes upon a star or when blowing out the candles on a birthday cake. They may toss money into wells or pools of water and make a wish. They may observe and be enticed by Halloween, the winter solstice or other such celebrations that have their origins in forms of demonic worship. They may be guided by horoscopes, fortunetellers, tarot cards, ouija boards, witchcraft and host of new age philosophies. People that are enticed by such things, their worship is in vain.
Phili 3:3–FOR WE ARE THE CIRCUMCISION, WHICH WORSHIP GOD IN THE SPIRIT, AND REJOICE IN CHRIST JESUS, AND HAVE NO CONFIDENCE IN THE FLESH.
Some have confidence in and worship or trust in the flesh–in themselves. Their confidence is in their own abilities, their own intellect, their own bodies, their own physical strength or power, their own good looks, their own power of persuasion, or even in their college education, or their own in–depth research or area of expertise. They may be a professional in a certain sport. Their confidence is in themselves. These also worship God in vain. Their God is themselves. Their God can be called pride.
Col 2:20–23–WHEREFORE IF YE BE DEAD WITH CHRIST FROM THE RUDIMENTS OF THE WORLD, WHY, AS THOUGH LIVING IN THE WORLD, ARE YE SUBJECT TO ORDINANCES, (TOUCH NOT; TASTE NOT; HANDLE NOT; WHICH ALL ARE TO PERISH WITH THE USING;) AFTER THE COMMANDMENTS AND DOCTRINES OF MEN? WHICH THINGS HAVE INDEED A SHEW OF WISDOM IN WILL WORSHIP, AND HUMILITY, AND NEGLECTING OF THE BODY; NOT IN ANY HONOUR TO THE SATISFYING OF THE FLESH.
Some may submit themselves in a false sense of humility to follow after a form of worship that relies on doing certain things. They may whip themselves with certain objects, bathe in certain waters, do long fasts, go without sleep, eat only certain things and refuse to eat other things. They may only wear certain clothes or wear no clothes at all. They may deny themselves certain pleasures, refuse to marry, do public service, give lots of money to charitable organizations. They may not go to certain places, do certain things, touch certain things, or taste certain things. They subject themselves to certain rules. They humble themselves to themselves and sometimes before people. They may cut themselves or hurt themselves in other ways. They may make long, beautiful prayers. They do not humble themselves by trembling at and obeying God’s Word. These also worship God in vain.
Rev 9:20–AND THE REST OF THE MEN WHICH WERE NOT KILLED BY THESE PLAGUES YET REPENTED NOT OF THE WORKS OF THEIR HANDS, THAT THEY SHOULD NOT WORSHIP DEVILS, AND IDOLS OF GOLD, AND SILVER, AND BRASS, AND STONE, AND OF WOOD: WHICH NEITHER CAN SEE, NOR HEAR, NOR WALK.
Some have pride in what they can accomplish. These may include making objects, repairing things, and analyzing things and situations. Others create or worship idols such as the Hindus, which God strictly forbids. They may worship certain buildings, water–stained windows, monuments, shrines, statutes, and graves. This may include ancestor worship and worshipping and praying to dead saints. A stumbling–block for some Jews are the Roman Catholic churches, and others as well, in Israel, which have idols of Mary and others, which are idolized and worshipped by people. They know this is strictly forbidden by God’s Word. The worship of such people is in vain.
And consider this. How many people worship their house, their car, their computer, their television set, or their addictive hand–held devices. Some even drive their vehicles with the steering wheel in one hand and their hand–held device in the other, with their eyes going back and forth. Some even sleep with their hand–held devices. How many worship their antiques or even sports. Some may say this is nonsense. Yet, if something should happen to their beautiful new car, their luxurious house, their closet full of designer clothes or shoes, their TV or entertainment center, computer, or relaxed lifestyle, or favorite store or restaurant—they might go into culture shock. If their favorite baseball, football, basketball, hockey or soccer team loses, they may be depressed for many days. If something bad would happen to the stock market, their investments or portfolio, they might go into deep depression. As this is being written, multitudes are trying to buy gold, and others are investing in it–ref Ja 5:3. They may claim their God is the God of heaven, but, in reality, for many people it is the things of this world. The Bible says in Rev 3:18–I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
There could be many that try to keep the ten commandments, but like the rich merchant, they trust in their riches. Their worship of God is also in vain.
Rev 13:4–AND THEY WORSHIPPED THE DRAGON WHICH GAVE POWER UNTO THE BEAST: AND THEY WORSHIPPED THE BEAST, SAYING, WHO IS LIKE UNTO THE BEAST? WHO IS ABLE TO MAKE WAR WITH HIM?
Rev 13:7–8–AND IT WAS GIVEN UNTO HIM TO MAKE WAR WITH THE SAINTS, AND TO OVERCOME THEM: AND POWER WAS GIVEN HIM OVER ALL KINDREDS, AND TONGUES, AND NATIONS. AND ALL THAT DWELL UPON THE EARTH SHALL WORSHIP HIM, WHOSE NAMES ARE NOT WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE OF THE LAMB SLAIN FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD.
Rev 13:12–AND HE (which is the false prophet) EXERCISETH ALL THE POWER OF THE FIRST BEAST BEFORE HIM, AND CAUSETH THE EARTH AND THEM WHICH DWELL THEREIN TO WORSHIP THE FIRST BEAST, WHOSE DEADLY WOUND WAS HEALED.
The dragon is Satan. The first beast is another name for the antichrist which comes forth. The second beast is another name for the false prophet. People that worship these during the tribulation are guaranteed eternal damnation. As it is written: Rev 14:9–11–AND THE THIRD ANGEL FOLLOWED THEM, SAYING WITH A LOUD VOICE, IF ANY MAN WORSHIP THE BEAST AND HIS IMAGE, AND RECEIVE HIS MARK IN HIS FOREHEAD, OR IN HIS HAND, THE SAME SHALL DRINK OF THE WINE OF THE WRATH OF GOD, WHICH IS POURED OUT WITHOUT MIXTURE INTO THE CUP OF HIS INDIGNATION; AND HE SHALL BE TORMENTED WITH FIRE AND BRIMSTONE IN THE PRESENCE OF THE HOLY ANGELS, AND IN THE PRESENCE OF THE LAMB: AND THE SMOKE OF THEIR TORMENT ASCENDETH UP FOR EVER AND EVER: AND THEY HAVE NO REST DAY NOR NIGHT, WHO WORSHIP THE BEAST AND HIS IMAGE, AND WHOSOEVER RECEIVETH THE MARK OF HIS NAME.
Rev 15:4–WHO SHALL NOT FEAR THEE, O LORD, AND GLORIFY THY NAME? FOR THOU ONLY ART HOLY: FOR ALL NATIONS SHALL COME AND WORSHIP BEFORE THEE; FOR THY JUDGMENTS ARE MADE MANIFEST. While this verse takes place during the millennium, yet it carries a message. There is much talk of worshipping God in churches and on television in America. There are whole television networks devoted to this theme. Yet there is little fear of God, or reverencing Him, or obeying Him by them that claim they worship Him. Such worship is meaningless. At best their fear of God is nothing more than IS TAUGHT BY THE PRECEPT OF MEN–Isa 29:13.
Rev 19:10–AND I FELL AT HIS FEET TO WORSHIP HIM. AND HE SAID UNTO ME, SEE THOU DO IT NOT: I AM THY FELLOWSERVANT, AND OF THY BRETHREN THAT HAVE THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS: WORSHIP GOD: FOR THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS IS THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY. Man is absolutely not to worship man. The only one that is worthy to be worshipped is God. Exalting a minister, or a denominational director so as to worship them, kiss their feet, or bow before them is a form of worship and it is wrong. John was warned not to worship even the angel that was in reality of the brethren, but was now in heaven. This is further confirmed in Rev 22:8–9–AND I JOHN SAW THESE THINGS, AND HEARD THEM. AND WHEN I HAD HEARD AND SEEN, I FELL DOWN TO WORSHIP BEFORE THE FEET OF THE ANGEL WHICH SHEWED ME THESE THINGS. THEN SAITH HE UNTO ME, SEE THOU DO IT NOT: FOR (a) I AM THY FELLOWSERVANT, (b) AND OF THY BRETHREN THE PROPHETS, (c) AND OF THEM WHICH KEEP THE SAYINGS OF THIS BOOK: WORSHIP GOD. It is also noted that those in heaven are they that had the testimony of Jesus Christ and kept the sayings of the Bible. As the Bible tells us, if a person loves God, they will keep His commandments. They will obey His commandments. Many worship God, but their conversation and thoughts are not centered on Jesus, nor do they keep God's commandments. Worshipping God this way is in vain.
As already alluded to, but it needs repeating: some churches and in some countries, people are taught to bow and worship certain men, because of the position of authority they hold. They may be the head of a denomination, or group of churches. They may even be the preacher of a church. This is sin. It is written, WORTHY IS THE LAMB THAT WAS SLAIN TO RECEIVE...HONOR, AND GLORY–Rev 5:12. It is written, THOU SHALT WORSHIP THE LORD THY GOD, AND HIM ONLY SHALT THOU SERVE–Mt 4:10. In Jn 4:23, note the words, WORSHIP THE FATHER. Rev 4:10–WORSHIP HIM THAT LIVETH FOR EVER AND EVER. Jesus received worship in Mt 8:2; 9:18; 14:33; 15:25; 28:9,17; and in other verses. Jesus is Deity—He is God. We are to worship the Son. We are also to worship the Father. We are not to worship man, angels, idols, devils, the sun, moon, stars, or anything except God. Neither are we to be involved in wickedness such as astrology.
Those that claim to worship God, but do the following, their worship is in vain or worthless.
HEART IS FAR FROM ME. Also those that
teach, believe, and or follow incorrect DOCTRINES which are THE COMMANDMENTS OF MEN. These often include the doctrines of churches, denominations, and our own wrong thoughts. Also those that
lay ASIDE THE COMMANDMENT OF GOD,
AND MANY OTHER SUCH THINGS,
In addition, people that claim they worship God but they do or are the following, their worship is in vain or worthless. It includes but is not limited to those who
REJECT THE COMMANDMENT OF GOD. Also those that seek to
KEEP THEIR OWN TRADITION. Also those that
make THE WORD OF GOD OF NON EFFECT THROUGH their own TRADITION. In vain worship includes those that worship
THE UNKNOWN GOD, or are
TOO SUPERSTITIOUS, or have
CONFIDENCE (or pride) IN THE FLESH. Also those that are
SUBJECT TO ORDINANCES, and also those that
REPENTED NOT OF THE WORKS OF THEIR HANDS, and those that
AND IDOLS or
worship THE DRAGON (which is Satan) or
worship the BEAST (which is the antichrist) or the
IMAGE OF THE BEAST. Also a person's worship is in vain that:
do NOT FEAR THEE, or those whose fear of God is nothing more than that which is taught by the precept of man, or those that
worship people or anything or anybody including them self.
For those that worship such as just been listed, we can say: SEE THOU DO IT NOT, for the only one we are to worship is the God of the Bible; that is
God Himself—who LIVETH FOR EVER AND EVER–
True worship begins with being born again. True worship is for them that love God with all their heart, mind, body and strength. True worship is for those that trust Him, follow Him, and obey Him.
Perhaps true worship can be defined as this: True worship is what your thoughts are on the most. Are your thoughts on Jesus, God’s Word, God’s works, or on other things. Are your thoughts on God, or the cares or problems of this life, girls, sex, pleasures, lusts of other things, your job, riches or hand–held devices and “staying connected”?
The worship of those people that was just described in God's word was nothing more than an emotional act that meant nothing to God. Such is the worship of most people in this current church age, whether they worship in church or while watching a religious broadcast at home.
Most churches in this lukewarm age are nothing more than a building with spiritually dead people inside. These people follow their church or denomination, not Jesus. When one might ask them what is their hope, they may answer–I am a Catholic, or Presbyterian, or some other denomination. They wouldn’t even consider leaving their church or denomination. Both they and their parents grew up there. They do not understand the concept of following and obeying Jesus, even as darkness does not comprehend the light.
As one worships God, repentance, brokenness, humbleness, meekness, forgiveness, the fear of God, obedience, and thankfulness should be in a person’s heart.
Let us not forget: 1 Pe 5:5,8,9–LIKEWISE, YE YOUNGER, SUBMIT YOURSELVES UNTO THE ELDER. YEA, ALL OF YOU BE SUBJECT ONE TO ANOTHER, AND BE CLOTHED WITH HUMILITY: FOR GOD RESISTETH THE PROUD, AND GIVETH GRACE TO THE HUMBLE. BE SOBER, BE VIGILANT; BECAUSE YOUR ADVERSARY THE DEVIL, AS A ROARING LION, WALKETH ABOUT, SEEKING WHOM HE MAY DEVOUR: WHOM RESIST STEDFAST IN THE FAITH, KNOWING THAT THE SAME AFFLICTIONS ARE ACCOMPLISHED IN YOUR BRETHREN THAT ARE IN THE WORLD.
Ja 4:7–10–SUBMIT YOURSELVES THEREFORE TO GOD. RESIST THE DEVIL, AND HE WILL FLEE FROM YOU. DRAW NIGH TO GOD, AND HE WILL DRAW NIGH TO YOU. CLEANSE YOUR HANDS, YE SINNERS; AND PURIFY YOUR HEARTS, YE DOUBLE MINDED. BE AFFLICTED, AND MOURN, AND WEEP: LET YOUR LAUGHTER BE TURNED TO MOURNING, AND YOUR JOY TO HEAVINESS. HUMBLE YOURSELVES IN THE SIGHT OF THE LORD, AND HE SHALL LIFT YOU UP.
The verses continue–
Jn 4:24. GOD IS A SPIRIT.
(There should also be more about God in two places a little further on.)God is not a human being, as we are. He is a Spirit. He is not the sun, which some worship. He is not the moon or constellations, which some worship. He is not some cosmic force or universal mind. Cults seem to have all sorts of weird ideas of who or what God is. The Scriptures, which have been proven to be true through perfectly fulfilled prophecies, tell us in Gen 1:1–IN THE BEGINNING GOD…
God's garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool…–Dan 7:9
Upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it–Ezek 1:26
God has a heart–ref Gen 6:6; 8:21.
When Moses asked God’s name, He replied I AM THAT I AM: AND HE SAID, THUS SHALT THOU SAY UNTO THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL, I AM HATH SENT ME UNTO YOU.
God is brightness and Jesus is the express image of his person–ref Heb 1:3
Jesus was in the form of God–Phili 2:6.
Man is made in the image of God and after His likeness–ref Gen 1:26.
In the image of God made he man–Gen 9:6, ref 1 Cor 11:7.
Man is made after the similitude of God–ref Ja 3:9.
Where is God now? Rev 4:2–3–AND IMMEDIATELY I WAS IN THE SPIRIT: AND, BEHOLD, A THRONE WAS SET IN HEAVEN, AND ONE SAT ON THE THRONE. AND HE THAT SAT WAS TO LOOK UPON LIKE A JASPER AND A SARDINE STONE: AND THERE WAS A RAINBOW ROUND ABOUT THE THRONE, IN SIGHT LIKE UNTO AN EMERALD.
Rev 4:8–9–AND THE FOUR BEASTS HAD EACH OF THEM SIX WINGS ABOUT HIM; AND THEY WERE FULL OF EYES WITHIN: AND THEY REST NOT DAY AND NIGHT, SAYING, HOLY, HOLY, HOLY, LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, WHICH WAS, AND IS, AND IS TO COME. AND WHEN THOSE BEASTS GIVE GLORY AND HONOUR AND THANKS TO HIM THAT SAT ON THE THRONE, WHO LIVETH FOR EVER AND EVER,
There are many more verses dealing with God and His appearance.
Regarding Christ Jesus, it is written: Col 1:17–AND HE IS BEFORE ALL THINGS, AND BY HIM ALL THINGS CONSIST.
We note the words of Heb 7:3–WITHOUT FATHER, WITHOUT MOTHER, WITHOUT DESCENT, HAVING NEITHER BEGINNING OF DAYS, NOR END OF LIFE; BUT MADE LIKE UNTO THE SON OF GOD; ABIDETH A PRIEST CONTINUALLY.
Where is Jesus now?
He is sitting on the right hand of power–ref Mt 26:64, Mk 14:62, Lk 22:69
He is sitting on the right hand of the Majesty on high–ref Heb 1:3
He is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens–ref Heb 8:1
He is set down at the right hand of the throne of God–Heb 12:2
He is sitting on the right hand of God–ref Mk 16:19, Col 3:1, Heb 10:12
He is standing on the right hand of God–ref Acts 7:55, 7:56
Jesus is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him–ref 1 Pe 3:22
The verse continues. God is a Spirit–
AND THEY THAT WORSHIP HIM
MUST. Note the word “must”. This word indicates that most of the worship that is done regarding God is false worship. When a person worships God, they “must” worship Him according to His Word. Otherwise the worship is not accepted. There are not many ways to worship God. There is only one.
The verse continues–
WORSHIP HIM IN SPIRIT. Note the words WORSHIP HIM IN SPIRIT. The word “spirit” is relating to the human spirit. In addition, those that belong to Christ have the Holy Spirit dwelling inside them–ref Jn 14:17.
Many there are that go to church and worship God, but there is no repentance, humbleness, or brokenness, in their heart. They look like God's people on the outside when they go to church, but when they leave they return to their vile ways. Inside, they are not right before God. Worship is not just conforming to obeying God on the outside, but also with a right attitude inside. The worship of God is done through Jesus Christ. No one can come to the Father, but by Jesus–ref Jn 14:6.
1 Cor 2:11–14–For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
AND IN TRUTH (or spiritually and truly). Note the words–WORSHIP HIM IN TRUTH. The Bible is truth. Jesus is the “truth” Each of us need to examine ourselves “in truth” by the Word of God. A person’s trust is to be in God daily, not in worldly, worthless things.
The following Words by Jesus would be one example of the attitude a person should have before God.
LK 18:10–14–TWO MEN WENT UP INTO THE TEMPLE TO PRAY; THE ONE A PHARISEE, AND THE OTHER A PUBLICAN. THE PHARISEE STOOD AND PRAYED THUS WITH HIMSELF, GOD, I THANK THEE, THAT I AM NOT AS OTHER MEN ARE, EXTORTIONERS, UNJUST, ADULTERERS, OR EVEN AS THIS PUBLICAN. I FAST TWICE IN THE WEEK, I GIVE TITHES OF ALL THAT I POSSESS. AND THE PUBLICAN, STANDING AFAR OFF, WOULD NOT LIFT UP SO MUCH AS HIS EYES UNTO HEAVEN, BUT SMOTE UPON HIS BREAST, SAYING, GOD BE MERCIFUL TO ME A SINNER. I TELL YOU, THIS MAN WENT DOWN TO HIS HOUSE JUSTIFIED RATHER THAN THE OTHER: FOR EVERY ONE THAT EXALTETH HIMSELF SHALL BE ABASED; AND HE THAT HUMBLETH HIMSELF SHALL BE EXALTED.
True worship of God can only be done by those that are His children, by those that follow Him. The worship of God is to be done in accordance with the truth of God’s Holy Word.
The Scribes and Pharisees were very, very religious people. On the outside they looked real good. Yet Jesus told them:
Lk 11:42, 43,44–BUT WOE UNTO YOU, PHARISEES! FOR YE TITHE MINT AND RUE AND ALL MANNER OF HERBS, AND PASS OVER JUDGMENT AND THE LOVE OF GOD: THESE OUGHT YE TO HAVE DONE, AND NOT TO LEAVE THE OTHER UNDONE. WOE UNTO YOU, PHARISEES! FOR YE LOVE THE UPPERMOST SEATS IN THE SYNAGOGUES, AND GREETINGS IN THE MARKETS. YE ARE AS GRAVES WHICH APPEAR NOT, AND THE MEN THAT WALK OVER THEM ARE NOT AWARE OF THEM. Mt 23:25–WOE UNTO YOU, SCRIBES AND PHARISEES, HYPOCRITES! FOR YE MAKE CLEAN THE OUTSIDE OF THE CUP AND OF THE PLATTER, BUT WITHIN THEY ARE FULL OF EXTORTION AND EXCESS. Lk 11:39–YOUR INWARD PART IS FULL OF RAVENING AND WICKEDNESS.
Two realms exist. One is invisible to our human senses. The other is the visible realm which we can see.
A person’s senses cannot see, smell, hear, or feel radio or television waves, yet they do exist.
A person’s hearing cannot detect a very high pitched sound but it does exist and a dog can hear it.
A person’s senses cannot detect radiation, except by special equipment, but exposure to too much of it can kill.
The spiritual realm which we cannot see is eternal. The realm we live in is not eternal. God, Who exists in the spiritual realm, created all things that exist in the visible realm. Some may say that the universe came first, and then, if God exists, He came after. The perfect, infallible Word of God teaches Col 1:17–HE IS BEFORE ALL THINGS, AND BY HIM ALL THINGS CONSIST. The first Words of the Bible say: Gen 1:1–IN THE BEGINNING GOD. Heb 7:1 and 3–MELCHISEDEC,.WITHOUT FATHER, WITHOUT MOTHER, WITHOUT DESCENT, HAVING NEITHER BEGINNING OF DAYS, NOR END OF LIFE; BUT MADE LIKE UNTO THE SON OF GOD… All things were created by Christ Jesus–ref Col 1:16.
In the invisible realm there is God. There are angels of God and angels of the devil. There is Satan and there are demons.
Beings (such as angels, etc.) from the invisible realm can appear in the visible realm, however we of the visible realm cannot go to the invisible realm as long as we are clothed with our earthly body.
Beings from the invisible realm communicate with people in the visible realm through their thoughts and thus effect their thinking, their emotions, and what they do. They can bring incredible pressure on a person including what the Bible calls fiery darts–ref Eph 6:16 and in many other ways also. Demons from the invisible realm can deceive a person. They can occupy a person that is not saved and can speak through them.
Only God can open a person’s understanding of the Bible so they can believe and become converted. The Holy Spirit comes into and dwells within a person when they humble themselves, receive Jesus Christ by faith and become saved, as it is written in many Scriptures. The unsaved person can have a form of understanding of God’s Word, but it is not according to the understanding and knowledge that God gives. The understanding that God gives can change a person from the inside out. A person can hear or read God’s Word. As they do, thoughts come from the demonic realm that are contrary to what God tells us in His Word. The heart of the person processes the information from both. What comes forth after the heart processes both God’s Word and those thoughts that run contrary to God’s Word is what the person believes and ultimately does. The wayside heart rejects God’s truth. The stony heart receives God’s Word for a time, but after rejects it as darkness sets in, because of fears, persecutions, temptations, difficulties, and other things. The thorny heart also receives God’s Word for a time, but rejects it later on, as darkness sets in from the cares of this life, lusts of the flesh and other things, the deceitfulness of riches, the pleasures of this life and personal desires. Only a few people have a good and honest heart that will receive God’s Word with the understanding He gives and will continue steadfast to the end—obeying Him and trusting in Him through every possible storm that they are called to go through, even death on a cross.
Why can’t a person usually recognize the thoughts that are coming into their mind are from the demonic realm? It is because the demonic realm also makes a person believe it is their own thoughts; and the thoughts often agree with what a person believes in their heart. Thus, if a spiritual Christian would tell a deceived person the thought they have is from the devil, the deceived person would not believe them. The deceived person might even laugh and mock them. However their laughing will be turned to torment and crying, when they die and find themselves in hell; but neither will they believe this–until it is too late.
Evil beings from the unseen world include: Eph 6:12–principalities,…powers,…the rulers of the darkness of this world,…spiritual wickedness in high places. Included in these are demons or demonic spirits, the angels of the devil, plus the devil which deceives the whole world–ref Rev 12:9.
The devil knows and understands the things that are in a person’s heart. He understands how to use feelings of rejection, hurts, fears, pride, self–centeredness, fustration, sex, desires, cares, pleasures, riches, lusts, possessions, and the “what if suggestion” etc. The devil knows exactly how to deceive and tempt each and every person using the things that are in their heart to deceive them. While the world may laugh at the thought of such a thing as a devil, the devil continues to do the work for which he was created to do. All sin and evil things are a result of the devil and his kingdom working through man whose heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?–ref Jere 17:9. Consider: during the 1000 reign of Jesus Christ upon the earth when Satan is bound, wars and evil such as exist today will disappear. There will be peace for a thousand years. But then Satan will be loosed again. Evil thoughts will fill people’s minds and there will yet be another rebellion.
Right now, if Satan was bound, much of the thoughts each of us have would all of a sudden disappear.
People will hear the truth. They will hear Satan’s lies. Their heart will choose what it wishes to believe. Many perish. Only a few will enter heaven–ref Mt 7. Those that can receive the truth, let him receive it, and those that cannot, they shall remain deceived and blind to the truth until they die and perish to eternal damnation. Then they shall understand, but it is too late–ref Lk 16:20–31. Fear God and depart from evil.
Ro 1:20–FOR THE INVISIBLE THINGS OF HIM FROM THE CREATION OF THE WORLD ARE CLEARLY SEEN, BEING UNDERSTOOD BY THE THINGS THAT ARE MADE, EVEN HIS ETERNAL POWER AND GODHEAD; SO THAT THEY ARE WITHOUT EXCUSE.
2 Cor 4:18–WHILE WE LOOK NOT AT THE THINGS WHICH ARE SEEN, BUT AT THE THINGS WHICH ARE NOT SEEN: FOR THE THINGS WHICH ARE SEEN ARE TEMPORAL (or temporary); BUT THE THINGS WHICH ARE NOT SEEN ARE ETERNAL.
1 Tim 1:17…THE KING (is) ETERNAL, IMMORTAL, INVISIBLE, THE ONLY WISE GOD.
Col 1:15–WHO IS THE IMAGE OF THE INVISIBLE GOD, THE FIRSTBORN OF EVERY CREATURE:
Heb 11:27–HE ENDURED, AS SEEING HIM WHO IS INVISIBLE.
2 Cor 5:1–FOR WE KNOW THAT IF OUR EARTHLY HOUSE OF THIS TABERNACLE WERE DISSOLVED, WE HAVE A BUILDING OF GOD, AN HOUSE NOT MADE WITH HANDS, ETERNAL IN THE HEAVENS.
Gen 1:1–28–IN THE BEGINNING GOD CREATED THE HEAVEN AND THE EARTH.
Gen 1:16–AND GOD MADE TWO GREAT LIGHTS; THE GREATER LIGHT TO RULE THE DAY, AND THE LESSER LIGHT TO RULE THE NIGHT: HE MADE THE STARS ALSO.
Gen 1:21–AND GOD CREATED…EVERY LIVING CREATURE THAT MOVETH…
Gen 1:25–AND GOD MADE THE BEAST OF THE EARTH…AND CATTLE…AND EVERY THING THAT CREEPETH UPON THE EARTH.
Gen 1:26–AND GOD SAID, LET US MAKE MAN IN OUR IMAGE.
Gen 1:27–SO GOD CREATED MAN IN HIS OWN IMAGE, IN THE IMAGE OF GOD CREATED HE HIM; MALE AND FEMALE CREATED HE THEM.
Eph 3:9–GOD,…CREATED ALL THINGS BY JESUS CHRIST.
Col 1:16–17–BY HIM WERE ALL THINGS CREATED, THAT ARE IN HEAVEN, AND THAT ARE IN EARTH, VISIBLE AND INVISIBLE, WHETHER THEY BE THRONES, OR DOMINIONS, OR PRINCIPALITIES, OR POWERS: ALL THINGS WERE CREATED BY HIM, AND FOR HIM: AND HE IS BEFORE ALL THINGS, AND BY HIM ALL THINGS CONSIST.
Rev 4:11–…THOU HAST CREATED ALL THINGS, AND FOR THY PLEASURE THEY ARE AND WERE CREATED.
Rev 10:6…HIM THAT LIVETH FOR EVER AND EVER, WHO CREATED HEAVEN, AND THE THINGS THAT THEREIN ARE, AND THE EARTH, AND THE THINGS THAT THEREIN ARE, AND THE SEA, AND THE THINGS WHICH ARE THEREIN.
Rev 3:14…(Jesus is the) THE AMEN, THE FAITHFUL AND TRUE WITNESS, THE BEGINNING OF THE CREATION OF GOD.
The vastness and magnitude of God’s creation is nearly impossible for the human mind to comprehend.
The Milky way Galaxy in which we live in consists of billions of stars. The distance across our galaxy is a staggering 100,000 light years approximately. Light travels at about 186,000 miles per second. In other words it would take a person traveling at the speed of light 100,000 earth years to travel across our galaxy. The light from the sun takes about 9 minutes to arrive at the earth.
Then there are other galaxies also–billions of them it is estimated, and each with huge numbers of stars. It is estimated that the number of stars in the universe is equal to or exceeds the number of grains of sand on the entire earth.
As a person looks upward into the heavens, his eyes can only see an estimated 6000 stars on the darkest nights. A few of the specs of light one can see are other planets in our solar system. A few of the other specs of light are actually other galaxies. Most of the specs of light we can see are other suns in our galaxy that are very distant. The next nearest sun to us is slightly over 4 light years away. As one might look upward on a very dark and clear night, with no moon, and little or no lights anywhere close by, and as his eyes adjust to the darkness, he might see what appears to be a faint, narrow haze that stretches across the sky. This is the our milky way galaxy. As one might look with a pair of binoculars into this faint haze he can see thousands of faint stars.
Let us not forget, that God not only created all things that are visible, but also those things which are invisible.
It is written: Ps 19:1–THE HEAVENS DECLARE THE GLORY OF GOD; AND THE FIRMAMENT (or skies) SHEWETH HIS HANDYWORK.
Man struggles to understand how all things came about. Throughout history mankind has had many false ideas on this subject. The earth was once thought to be flat. Today man explores space through many types of telescopes and electronic apparatus. New ideas come forth from science. Then as time goes on, new evidence or ideas comes forth which causes science to change their mind about things that were thought to be true. What man was positive was true, then becomes obsolete.
However, there is one thing that does not change. It is the Bible. It is the living Word of God.
Carnal man has also struggled to understand God’s Word. It is to them a closed book. Some claim they just cannot understand it. Others think they understand it, but do not.
However, to those called by God, it is an open book.
God’s Word tells us: 1 Tim 6:20–21–O TIMOTHY,…AVOIDING…OPPOSITIONS OF SCIENCE FALSELY SO CALLED: WHICH SOME PROFESSING HAVE ERRED CONCERNING THE FAITH.
1 Cor 3:19–FOR THE WISDOM OF THIS WORLD IS FOOLISHNESS WITH GOD.
1 Cor 2:14–THE NATURAL MAN RECEIVETH NOT THE THINGS OF THE SPIRIT OF GOD: FOR THEY ARE FOOLISHNESS UNTO HIM: NEITHER CAN HE KNOW THEM, BECAUSE THEY ARE SPIRITUALLY DISCERNED (or to him they are nonsense. Moreover he is unable to grasp them–JNT)
Worldly man has problems believing and understanding in some things which he cannot see. One example is the following: Jn 14:17–…THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH; WHOM THE WORLD CANNOT RECEIVE, BECAUSE IT SEETH HIM NOT, NEITHER KNOWETH HIM: BUT YE KNOW HIM; FOR HE DWELLETH WITH YOU, AND SHALL BE IN YOU.
1 Cor 1:18–THE PREACHING OF THE CROSS IS TO THEM THAT PERISH FOOLISHNESS; BUT UNTO US WHICH ARE SAVED IT IS THE POWER OF GOD.
Pv 19:3–THE FOOLISHNESS OF MAN PERVERTETH HIS WAY: AND HIS HEART FRETTETH (or rages) AGAINST THE LORD.
1 Cor 1:25–THE FOOLISHNESS OF GOD IS WISER THAN MEN; AND THE WEAKNESS OF GOD IS STRONGER THAN MEN.
Man does not want to believe in hell, the devil, and eternal judgment. Man does not want to repent. Man does not want someone to rule over him. What man wants is to do whatever he wishes to do, and then if there is a heaven, he wants to go there when he dies. A man's ways are right in his own eyes–. He does not understand or want to believe that eternal live is only to those that become born again and obey God's Word. Man has created many false religions and false ways to get to God which in reality lead to eternal damnation and the second death. As it is written in Rev 12:9–SATAN,…DECEIVETH THE WHOLE WORLD.
Pv 12:15–THE WAY OF A FOOL IS RIGHT IN HIS OWN EYES.
Pv 16:2–ALL THE WAYS OF A MAN ARE CLEAN IN HIS OWN EYES.
Pv 21:2–EVERY WAY OF A MAN IS RIGHT IN HIS OWN EYES.
Pv 30:12–THERE IS A GENERATION THAT ARE PURE IN THEIR OWN EYES, AND YET IS NOT WASHED FROM THEIR FILTHINESS.
Isa 5:21–WOE UNTO THEM THAT ARE WISE IN THEIR OWN EYES, AND PRUDENT IN THEIR OWN SIGHT.
Pv 3:7–BE NOT WISE IN THINE OWN EYES: FEAR THE LORD, AND DEPART FROM EVIL.
Twice the Bible uses the word "worlds". It is plural. How many worlds did He create?
Heb 1:2–HATH IN THESE LAST DAYS SPOKEN UNTO US BY HIS SON, WHOM HE HATH APPOINTED HEIR OF ALL THINGS, BY WHOM ALSO HE MADE THE WORLDS;
Heb 11:3–THROUGH FAITH WE UNDERSTAND THAT THE WORLDS WERE FRAMED BY THE WORD OF GOD, SO THAT THINGS WHICH ARE SEEN WERE NOT MADE OF THINGS WHICH DO APPEAR.
God created all things. He did this in 6 days and rested. However, there is no indication that each day was 24 hours as we consider a day now. Regarding the days it is written: THESE (the day ref v3, or days–ref Gen 1:1 to 2:3) ARE THE GENERATIONS OF THE HEAVENS AND OF THE EARTH WHEN THEY WERE CREATED…Gen 2:4. How long was God’s day which is referred to as a generation? God rested on the 7th day. What is God doing now?
Jn 5:17–BUT JESUS ANSWERED THEM, MY FATHER WORKETH HITHERTO, AND I WORK.
The following Bible studies cover the invisible realm, the creation, the Holy Spirit, and spirits as they are all interrelated.
INVISIBLE REALMCol 1:16–17–For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. In the Beginning GOD–Gen 1:1. Following is a breakdown of this and other Scriptures.
THERE IS AN INVISIBLE REALM
HOW TO BE SAVED
(Also see verses under the heading of CREATION, SPIRIT, SPIRITS, DEMONS, DEVIL) (Note–some verses are repeated as they appear under more than one heading)
Those in the invisible realm can come to our realm, but we cannot go to theirs until we die for man is flesh with a spirit.
We can’t see that realm, but we can feel it. We can hear their voices from the invisible realm put in our mind as thoughts. We can hear the thoughts put in our mind from Satan and his followers.
We can hear the thoughts put in our mind from God and through His Word.
Our heart will choose which thoughts we believe and which thoughts we do not believe. The consequence of all this is where we will spend eternity. Will it be with God? Will it be in the lake of fire?
Example, we read a command from the Bible.
Then we have a thought from the dark realm not to obey it because of some reason.
Out heart chooses whether we will believe and obey God’s word or not.
God is before all things–ref Col 1:16–17.
All things exist by Him–ref Col 1:16–17.
Things we see were made of things we do not see (the invisible things) –ref Heb 11:3.
There are invisible things, things we cannot see. They were created by God–ref Ro 1:20; Col 1:16–17.
God created all things–ref Col 1:16–17.
God created thrones, dominions, principalities, powers–ref Col 1:16–17.
God created all that is in heaven–ref Col 1:16–17.
God created all that is in the earth–ref Col 1:16–17.
God created the visible things–ref Col 1:16–17.
God created the invisible things–ref Col 1:16–17.
All things were created for Him–ref Col 1:16–17.
The worlds (plural) were framed by God’s Word–ref Heb 11:3.
The invisible things of God are clearly seen by the things that He made–ref Ro 1:20.
The invisible things of God are clearly understood by the things which He made–ref Ro 1:20.
God’s eternal power is understood by the things which He made–ref Ro 1:20.
The Godhead is understood by the things which He made–ref Ro 1:20.
We cannot see God unless He would make it possible–ref Ex 33:20.
The world cannot receive, see, or know the Spirit of Truth, even though He is in Born Again Christians–ref Jn 14:17. He is in the invisible realm.
So what did Satan do. First he put doubts in Eve’s mind about the truth of what God said by saying, “Hath God said?”. They he directly contradicted God’s Word when he said, “Ye shall not surely die”. She believed Satan’s lies. She died.
God’s Word tells us that the invisible things of God, God’s power, the Godhead, can be seen or understood by the things which He made (note above). So Satan, using unbelievers, and those that do not fear God, puts the lie of evolution in their deceived thinking to discredit people from seeing and understanding God through His creation. So sinful man works and works at propagating and enhancing Satan's deceptions. Why? If there is no God, then man can do whatever is right in his own eyes. He will have no fear about being judged by God’s Word and perishing to the lake of fire for eternity. God’s Word has been proven to be true. Yet, man’s deceitful and desperately wicked heart does not want to accept the evidence. Let God be true and every man a liar. God speaks to this lukewarm, blind and wretched generation with these words. Jesus said, These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God. Why did Jesus choose to use these words only to this generation and not to one of the other 6 previous to this. The answer is it is this generation which expounds the lie of evolution–ref Rev 3:14.
Ps 148:5–He commanded, and they were created.
Isa 40:26–Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might.
Isa 42:5–The LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out.
Isa 45:18–The LORD that created the heavens; God…formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.
Mal 2:10–…One God created us.Eph 3:9–God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
Rev 4:11–Thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Ezek 28:15. Satan was also created. Ezek 28:13–Thou (Satan) wast created. He was created to do exactly what he does–to deceive man. He was given all the powers of deception he needs by God to accomplish his purpose. Thou (Satan) wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. Every man’s heart is tested as they hear or read God’s Word, or see the creation, and then hear the lies of Satan in their thoughts discrediting God and His Word. Some believe God. Some doubt God. Some refuse to believe God. Some mock and discredit God. Some make up their own religions and their own god/or gods
Put God’s Word in your heart. Do not allow the wrong thinking in your mind over ride God’s truth as Eve did.
God’s Word goes into your heart. Satan’s words disputing God’s Word also goes into your heart. Your heart processes both. A good and honest heart will process God’s Word as it is written. A stony or thorney heart will process God’s Word and distort it. A wayside heart will process Satan’s lies which contradicts God’s Word as the truth. What finally comes out of your processor or your heart is what you will believe.
There is an invisible realm on this earth–ref Eph 6:11–12.
This invisible realm is called the darkness of this world–ref Eph 6:11–12.
In this invisible realm, in this darkness of this world, there are principalities, powers and rulers–ref Eph 6:11–12.
In this invisible realm there exists high places–ref Eph 6:11–12.In this invisible realm there is spiritual wickedness–ref Eph 6:11–12.
In the invisible realm there are unclean spirits–ref Mk 5:7–10, 12–13; Mt 12:43–45.
The huge number of devils (or demons) cannot be seen. They exist in the invisible realm, but they can enter people and also animals. They can cause a person to be very strong. They can cause a person to not be in their right mind. They can cause a person to harm themselves–ref Mt 8:29–32.
The devil (or demon) could not be seen, but it was inside a person–ref Mt 9:22; Mt 12:22.
The devil (or demon) could not be seen, but it was inside a person, a child–ref Mt 15:22; Mt 17:18
Demons can vex a person–ref Mt 15:22.
The demons can cause a person to be blind and dumb–ref Mt 12:22.
In the invisible realm there exists the devil–ref Eph 6:11–12,16; Eph 4:27; Mt 25:41; Lk 8:12; Lk 4:3; Acts 13:10 and more
The devil has schemes to take a person to hell–ref Eph 6:11–12,16.
He is as a roaring lion. He seeks to deceive and devour you. Will he succeed?–ref 1 Pe 5:8.
The whole armour of God is our protection–ref Eph 6:11–12,16.
Fiery darts (lying thoughts in our mind, stirred up emotions, and pressure in our stomach area) often come from the wicked in the invisible realm, yet our thoughts will usually tell us this is not so. Faith is our shield so that we can put out these fiery darts which stir out emotions–ref Eph 6:11–12,16.
To what degree a person believes lying thoughts from the darkness of this world, and to what degree his emotions get stirred up as a result, and to what degree he sins as a result—is an indication of the sensitivity they have to the darkness. It also indicates the type of heart they have.
It is written in Jere 17:9–THE HEART IS DECEITFUL ABOVE ALL THINGS, AND DESPERATELY WICKED: WHO CAN KNOW IT?
Some include an Anguish heart–2 Cor 2:4
broken heart–Ps 34:18
condemned heart (or condemning heart)–1 Jn 3:20
covetous heart–ref 2 Pe 2:14.
deceitful heart–Jere 17:9
desperately wicked heart–Jere 17:9
double minded heart–Ja 4:8
evil heart of unbelief–Heb 3:12
evil heart–Jere 3:17; 7:24; 11:8; 16:12; 18:12
fat heart–Isa 6:10
fearful heart–Isa 35:4

froward heart–Pv 6:14
good heart–Lk 8:15

a single heart (or singleness heart)–Acts 2:46; Col 3:22
a slow heart–Lk 24:25,
a sorrowful heart–Pv 14:13
a steadfast heart–1 Cor 7:37,
a stony heart–ref Mt 13:5
a thorny heart–ref Mt 13:7,
a troubled heart–ref Jn 14:1; 14:27
a true heart–Heb 10:22,
an uncircumcised heart–ref Acts 7:51
an understanding heart–Pv 8:15,
a veiled heart–2 Cor 3:15,16; and a wayside heart–ref Mt 13:19
People will hear the truth of God's Word. People will hear the lies in their thoughts from the darkness of this world. As already stated, a person’s heart will process the information from both. Then your heart will decide what to believe. What you believe and do will ultimately determine whether you will spend eternity in the lake of fire, or with God–ref Lk 16.
Example. You hear the lie of evolution. You hear the truth of creation. Which do you believe?
Example. You can read an exact description of the Catholic church in the Bible. The Bible makes it clear to come out of her my people. Do your thoughts (or heart) choose to believe what the Bible says, or do your thoughts choose to believe what is said here is wrong?
The Bible is clear that fornicators and adulterers will perish. You may be single, or married. A beautiful girl makes herself available to you. Will your heart choose to believe the Bible, or will your heart choose to have sex with her?
To what degree you read and understand the Bible, to what degree you love God, to what degree you fear God, to what degree you obey God, to what degree you are childlike when being corrected by God’s Word may all be a reflection of your heart.
IF THEREFORE THE LIGHT THAT IS IN THEE BE DARKNESS, HOW GREAT IS THAT DARKNESS! If you think you are going to heaven and if you think you understand, but neither is true, God tells us How great is that darkness. It is difficult for such a person to ever be saved–ref Mt 6:23.
It is written: Pv 8:36–HE THAT SINNETH AGAINST ME WRONGETH HIS OWN SOUL: ALL THEY THAT HATE ME LOVE DEATH.
Ezek 18:4–BEHOLD, ALL SOULS ARE MINE; AS THE SOUL OF THE FATHER, SO ALSO THE SOUL OF THE SON IS MINE: THE SOUL THAT SINNETH, IT SHALL DIE.
Ezek 18:20–…THE WICKEDNESS OF THE WICKED SHALL BE UPON HIM.
Ro 3:23–ALL HAVE SINNED, AND COME SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD.
It is written: Pv 3:7–BE NOT WISE IN THINE OWN EYES: FEAR THE LORD, AND DEPART FROM EVIL. Pv 16:6–BY THE FEAR OF THE LORD MEN DEPART FROM EVIL.
Religion is not salvation. Dedication to a church or denomination is not salvation. Giving to the poor is not salvation. Claiming you are going to heaven is not salvation.
A person must repent. They must believe in Jesus Christ as the Scriptures have said. They must, by faith, turn their life over to Jesus, follow Him and trust Him as their only hope of salvation. Once they do repent, and believe in Jesus Christ, they have need to be baptized by full immersion in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. They need to obey the Bible and continue stedfast in the faith.
There is a battle going on for your soul. Satan and his kingdom were created for the exact purpose of what they are doing. There is a tug of war going on for your soul. It is like there is a rope tied to your right hand pulling you toward God. Then there is a rope on your left hand pulling you toward Satan. It may feel like you are being pulled apart. If you go toward God, Satan turns up the pressure. Expect friends and relatives to ridicule you. Expect the world to turn against you. As Jesus was tempted in all ways, so you can expect to be tempted in many ways. A person is in a spiritual war, a battle, a fight of faith. When the end of your life comes, and you are judged by God's Word, where will you spend eternity? Will you hear the words of God: WELL DONE GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT, or will you be cast into the lake of fire for eternity as it is written: Rev 20:14–15–AND DEATH AND HELL WERE CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE. THIS IS THE SECOND DEATH. AND WHOSOEVER WAS NOT FOUND WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE WAS CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE. The only people (repeat), the only people that go to heaven are those that are born again–ref Jn 3:3.
Many people have a head knowledge about Christ, but Christ is not in their heart. Their life is not conformed to the image of Christ. They have not been transformed, renewed, or put on the new man and put off the old man. They have not humbled themselves, been converted, become childlike, or allowed God (the Word) to reign over them. They do not trust in God when problems beset them. They trust in other things including themselves. They want to reign over themselves. They do not wish to submit to God's Word. They do not diligently study and obey God’s Word. They are not born again. They are not saved. They will not be going to heaven no matter what they think, no matter how many good works they do, and no matter how good a person they think they are. Most people do not even understand what many of these words mean as it relates to them.
The cleaver and deceitful serpent deceived Eve with only about 46 words. The devil now deceives the whole world–ref Rev 12:9. Are you his next victim?
By their fruits ye shall know them–Mt 7:20. By their love for born again brethren you can know them. By their childlikeness to correction from God's Word you can know them. By their obedience to God's Word you can know them.
There is no middle ground. It is written: Lk 14:33–WHOSOEVER HE BE OF YOU THAT FORSAKETH NOT ALL THAT HE HATH, HE CANNOT BE MY DISCIPLE. Mt 12:30–HE THAT IS NOT WITH ME IS AGAINST ME.
Pick up your Bible and begin to read the New Testament. Ask Jesus Christ in prayer to save you by faith. You might pray from your heart: “God have mercy on me a sinner and save me. I give you my life.” Pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Now reread the instructions from God’s Word on how to be saved.
The devil resides in the invisible realm. We are told to first submit to God, to His Word. Then we are told to resist the devil, and then the devil will flee. We can resist Him by rightly dividing God’s Word, submitting to it, and using it correctly–ref Ja 4:7–10.
The devil can speak to us or put thoughts in our minds–ref Lk 4:3.
He can take God’s word out of a person’s heart–ref Lk 8:12.
The devil can put ideas and things into a person’s heart–ref Jn 13:2.
The devil exists and can oppress people–ref Acts 10:38.
The devil seeks to pervert God’s Word. He does it through our thoughts and desires, through people, pressure, and fear just to mention some. He mixes truth with error in very cleaver and deceitful ways. This goes on every day around the world as ungodly people try to convince other people that the ways of the devil are right and the ways of God are wrong–ref Acts 13:10. Some are in pulpits, some are rulers and kings, some are judges, some may be your next door neighbor, etc.
Note the words: The right ways of the Lord. Man's heart ultimately decides what he will believe. Most choose to believe the thoughts they have from the devil. Few truly believe in their heart the right ways of God–ref Acts 13:10.
The devil seeks to snare people through his many devices and schemes–ref 1 Tim 3:6–7.
The devil is able to take people captive at his will. He knows the desires and things that people have and uses them to snare them. With most people his devices work–ref 2 Tim 2:26.
The devil sinned from the beginning. His works include trying to destroy you–ref 1 Jn 3:8.
The invisible realm contains the angels of the devil–ref Mt 25:41.
The devil has angels. They exist in the invisible realm. This verse takes place during the tribulation–ref Rev 12:9.
The angels of God exist in the invisible realm. In that realm there is a battle going on between the angels of God and the devil and his angels–ref Jude 1:9.
That same battle exists on this earth. There is a spiritual battle going on between the people of the devil and the people of God. It is a fight for people's souls. Satan is a master of deception. He deceives the whole world. Many more are the people of the devil than the people of God–ref Isa 54:1.
There is a massive amount of Scripture showing there is both the (1) seen and (2) the unseen creation. How is it that people can hear the voices of the powers of the darkness of this world, and even fell its presence, yet they do not believe it.
How is it that a person feels comfortable about pridefully talking about himself, but he feels uncomfortable in talking about the Bible. He feels uncomfortable if he witnesses to someone about Jesus. He feels uncomfortable about praying in a restaurant over his food where people might see him. How is it that many people think nothing about taking God’s name in vain even in public which is sin? Why is it that people curse God’s name, and the name of Jesus Christ, but not the gods of other religions? How is it that people accuse God of all manner of things, yet seldom accuse the devil?
How is it that most people do not truly believe that the devil, and his angels exist and deceives them? He is nothing more than some little red thing with horns on some box to many. As the Bible tells us–Satan deceives the whole world. Some brilliant men think they are brilliant, yet how dumb most really are when it comes to the truth of God's Word, the creation, and their final destiny.
Man, through Satan’s devices has created all sorts of false religions and ideas. Yet there is only one true God, and only one way to come to God and only one way to inherit eternal life. It is all wrapped up in these words:
Jesus said. In Jn 14:6–I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE: NO MAN COMETH UNTO THE FATHER, BUT BY ME.
How bazaar it is that man makes an idol and calls it a god. Others worship windows, or walls, or objects that have some water damage or over the process of time some sort of image appears on something and then so called intelligent people think is the virgin Mary. They cry over it, may fall down before it, pray to it, and even worship it. Their religion is that of wrong thoughts and emotions. They have little knowledge or true understanding of God’s Word. They wonder in spiritual darkness and think they will ultimately be in heaven, or in an unbiblical place called purgatory. They might even use prayer beads. They refuse, resist, and sometimes fight against the truth but embrace deception. There are none so blind as those that will not see. They follow false religions, denominations, or thoughts and some attach the name of Jesus to it. Hell is filling up with people just like them. They have not been born again. They do not even understand what being born again is.
Faith is substance–ref Heb 11:1.
Faith is evidence–ref Heb 11:1.
Faith is the evidence of things you do not see (of the invisible things) –ref Heb 11:1.
Through faith we understand–ref Heb 11:3.
The words creation and created appear numerous times in God’s Word. It clearly refutes man’s lying false ideas (prompted by Satan) about evolution which is science falsely so called. Interestingly enough truthful science itself also refutes the idea of evolution if all the evidence is looked at correctly and objectively.
But the establishment, the kings and rulers, politicians, political process, courts, universities, schools, work places, written materials, the news media, false man made religions, the rich, and many others are ready to use their power and authority to threaten, scare, intimidate, refute, suppress, and deceive. They try to pervert, discredit, or remove the Bible, it’s teaching, and God from our society. They are ready to use intimidation, accusations, lies, falsehoods, false science, fabricated science, psychology, fear, abuse, jail, torture, and even execution in some countries to achieve their purpose. They use every means available to persuade the children and others that creation and God’s Word is not true.
To take a stand for God is getting harder and harder. According to God’s Word it will continue to get more difficult.
Satan and his followers are even succeeding in replacing the word CHRISTMAS with the word HOLIDAYS. They are replacing Biblical marriages, with abominable marriages in the name of tolerance. The list is almost endless. The perilous times that the Bible foretold are manifesting themselves. As bad as it seems now, it will get worse until one day Jesus will return.
It seems most everybody and everything from elementary schools to universities to educational television, etc. expound the lie of evolution. People blindly accept and willingly choose to believe the made up lies which they are being fed.
If a person admits that God is God, then God’s Word shows man to be a sinner which has need of a Saviour which is none other than Christ the Lord. For if a person does not repent and receive Jesus Christ as their only hope of salvation they will surely be judged by God’s Word and perish. Unrepentant people do not want to know or admit the truth that they are going to live forever in everlasting torment. Most people want to reign over themselves. They do not want God’s word to reign over them. They do not want to repent and surrender their lives to Jesus Christ that they might be saved. They do not want to deny themselves and follow Jesus.
Thus people willingly embrace the lie of evolution. This means they do not need to repent for people’s ways are right in their own eyes–ref Pv 12:15; 16:2; 21:2; 30:12. They do not truly believe there is a God that they will have to answer to, that will judge them by the Bible. Some try to mix truth and lies. They may say I believe God created all things, but that He did it through evolution.
When a person does not believe as the Scriptures have said, then one might say to that person, “What sin don’t you want to give up that is hindering your understanding?” God’s Word states clearly THY WORD IS TRUTH–Jn 17:17.
When certain persons refused to believe Jesus, He said to them in Jn 8:43–47–WHY DO YE NOT UNDERSTAND MY SPEECH? EVEN BECAUSE YE CANNOT…YE ARE OF YOUR FATHER THE DEVIL, AND THE LUSTS OF YOUR FATHER YE WILL DO. …BECAUSE I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, YE BELIEVE ME NOT. …IF I SAY THE TRUTH, WHY DO YE NOT BELIEVE ME? HE THAT IS OF GOD HEARETH GOD’S WORDS: YE THEREFORE HEAR THEM NOT, BECAUSE YE ARE NOT OF GOD. Ref Jn 3:19–Jesus (the Light) came into the world, but MEN LOVED DARKNESS (or (falsehood or deception) RATHER THAN LIGHT (or truth or Jesus), BECAUSE THEIR DEEDS WERE EVIL. They did not want to repent of their riches, evil ways, lusts, desires, pride, power, and thoughts.
Much of the world is religious but they are not born again through faith in Christ. They follow false gods, false prophets, false writings, and false ideas. Some even commit suicide while killing multitudes of people and think they are doing a service to their god. Satan and their deceived religious leaders deceived them but they do not realize this until they die and go to hell. And as they are in hell being tormented by the flame–ref Lk 16:24, people may be listening to someone at their funeral saying they have gone to heaven or to a better place. The Bible clearly teaches that most people will perish, yet when is the last time you ever attended a funeral and heard the teacher, preacher, rabbi, cleric, or whosoever, ever say that this person did go to hell?
For the most part, the Jesus Christ of the Bible and His Word has been rejected by the world. People may attend some church which uses the name Christian. Hundreds of thousands may flock to Rome. They may cry over the Pope. They may worship him, but God's Word (the Bible) and the Jesus Christ of the Bible is not in their heart. They are not born of the Spirit of God
As time passes, expect most every evil way and wicked lifestyle to prosper, while holiness, perfection, and the fear of God continues to decline. Expect the few true Christians that are still holding fast to Jesus Christ to be tempted, ridiculed, and persecuted more and more.
Israel has been reborn into a nation just as God’s Word had said it would be. It has come to pass. These are all signs the Antichrist, the man of sin, will soon be revealed and the tribulation will begin. During the tribulation more than half of the world’s population will be killed. After the tribulation of those days, Armageddon will explode, and Jesus Christ will return. Few people will be left alive. Satan will be bound. The antichrist and the false prophet will be cast into the lake of fire for eternity. Open your eyes and see. Anoint your eyes with eyesalve. Put on the whole armour of God, for if you do not, you may fall prey to the schemes of the devil, the lies, pleasures, lusts, cares, and riches of this world, and may never be able to recover. Beware. Take heed–ref Rev 3:14.
In the beginning God–Gen 1:1.
