WHAT IS A CHRONOLOGICAL 4 GOSPEL BIBLE?
The Chronological 4 Gospels are the accounts of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, with a few verses from Acts and 1st Corinthians, combined in chronological form. This enables a person to read and study all four as a unit. One can read Matthew’s account of an event, and then read the same event in the other accounts. There are certain events that are only presented in one or two, but others are presented in all 4. A student of the Bible can now read and study how and when all the events occurred in relation to each other. Thus, a person’s knowledge and understanding of God’s Word should increase as the Holy Spirit gives the understanding.

Ja 1:6,8–FAITH…A DOUBLE MINDED MAN—IS UNSTABLE—IN ALL HIS WAYS.
This is another name for wavering faith.

23—Faith–Weak in faith
Ro 14:1–HIM THAT IS WEAK IN THE FAITH (or trust) RECEIVE YE, BUT NOT TO DOUBTFUL DISPUTATIONS (or not to disputes over doubtful things–NKJ) (or not to get into arguments over opinions–JNT). The person’s whose faith is strong must not look down on the one whose faith is weak, and the one whose faith is weak must not pass judgment on the one whose faith is strong. So then, we who are strong have a duty to bear the weakness of those who are not strong.
Ro 14:3,5,6; 15:5,7 (NIV)–The man who eats everything must not look down on him who does not, and the man who does not eat everything must not condemn the man who does, for God has accepted him. Ro 14:5–6–One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. He who regards one day as special, does so to the Lord. He who eats meat, eats to the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who abstains, does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God.
Ro 14:22–(Regarding doing something that can cause a weak brother to stumble, or be offended, or made weak) HAST THOU FAITH (or trust)? HAVE IT TO THYSELF BEFORE GOD. HAPPY IS HE THAT CONDEMNETH NOT HIMSELF IN THAT THING WHICH HE ALLOWETH.
Nevertheless, when a person is so weak in faith that they cannot be corrected, and their understanding of God’s Word is such that the they have become confrontational, then this becomes a different matter. When the person that is weak in faith sows discord among the brethren, and strife, and they accuse, criticize, murmur, complain, cause divisions, and bring forth an ill attitude toward the brethren, then this becomes a different matter. And when the person that is weak in faith sometimes bring with them a very negative and even hostile spirit, and then joins with others that do the same, even causing disputes and sowing discord among the brethren, then receiving them needs to be reconsidered for God has called us to peace. Bringing the fruits of the Spirit into the house of God is peace, but bringing the fruits or attitudes of the adversary into the house of God is not conducive to peace. 1 Cor 7:15–As in a marriage, it is written: BUT IF THE UNBELIEVING DEPART, LET HIM DEPART. A BROTHER OR A SISTER IS NOT UNDER BONDAGE IN SUCH CASES: BUT GOD HATH CALLED US TO PEACE.
It is written: Pv 6:16,19–THESE…THINGS DOTH THE LORD HATE: YEA, SEVEN ARE AN ABOMINATION UNTO HIM: HE THAT SOWETH DISCORD AMONG BRETHREN.
Pv 6:14–FROWARDNESS IS IN HIS HEART,…HE SOWETH DISCORD.
Ro 13:13–LET US WALK.NOT IN STRIFE (or with an attitude of opposition to God's Word) AND ENVYING.
1 Cor 3:3–FOR YE ARE YET CARNAL (or we may say weak in faith):…THERE IS AMONG YOU ENVYING, AND STRIFE (or an attitude of opposition to God’s Word).
Gal 5:19–22–NOW THE WORKS OF THE FLESH ARE…THESE; STRIFE (or an attitude of opposition), THEY WHICH DO SUCH THINGS SHALL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
Phili 2:2–3–BE LIKEMINDED, HAVING THE SAME LOVE, BEING OF ONE ACCORD, OF ONE MIND. LET NOTHING BE DONE THROUGH STRIFE (or with an attitude of opposition)
1 Tim 6:3–5–IF ANY MAN…CONSENT NOT TO.THE DOCTRINE WHICH IS ACCORDING TO GODLINESS; HE IS PROUD, KNOWING NOTHING, BUT DOTING ABOUT QUESTIONS AND STRIFES (or an attitude of opposition) OF WORDS, WHEREOF COMETH ENVY, STRIFE,…EVIL SURMISINGS,…DISPUTINGS OF MEN OF CORRUPT MINDS, AND DESTITUTE OF THE TRUTH,…FROM SUCH WITHDRAW THYSELF.
Ja 3:14–16–IF YE HAVE BITTER ENVYING AND STRIFE (or an attitude of opposition) IN YOUR HEARTS,…LIE NOT AGAINST THE TRUTH. Do not be dishonest and lie and oppose the truth. THIS…IS EARTHLY,…DEVILISH. FOR WHERE ENVYING AND STRIFE (or an attitude of opposition) IS, THERE IS CONFUSION AND EVERY EVIL WORK.
Weak faith, weak conscience. 1 Cor 8:7–THEIR CONSCIENCE BEING WEAK IS DEFILED.
1 Cor 8:9–.TAKE HEED LEST…THIS LIBERTY…BECOME A STUMBLINGBLOCK TO THEM THAT ARE WEAK.
1 Cor 8:10–12–.THE CONSCIENCE OF HIM WHICH IS WEAK. …THE WEAK BROTHER PERISH, FOR WHOM CHRIST DIED? YE SIN…AND WOUND THEIR WEAK CONSCIENCE, YE SIN AGAINST CHRIST. Not the words “weak BROTHER perish”.
Weak in faith is also mentioned in Ro 4:19–AND BEING NOT WEAK IN FAITH, HE CONSIDERED NOT HIS OWN BODY NOW DEAD, WHEN HE WAS ABOUT AN HUNDRED YEARS OLD, NEITHER YET THE DEADNESS OF SARAH’S WOMB:

24—Faith–Doubting faith
Ro 14:23–AND HE THAT DOUBTETH IS DAMNED IF HE EAT, BECAUSE HE EATETH NOT OF FAITH (or trust).
Lk 12:22–31– O YE OF LITTLE FAITH (or trust)?,…NEITHER BE YE OF DOUBTFUL MIND.
Ro 14:23–AND HE THAT DOUBTETH IS DAMNED IF HE EAT, BECAUSE HE EATETH NOT OF FAITH (or trust).

25—Faith–Little faith
Mt 6:30–31–O YE OF LITTLE FAITH?
Mt 8:24–26–O YE OF LITTLE FAITH?
Mt 14:29–31–O THOU OF LITTLE FAITH.
Mt 16:5–9–O YE OF LITTLE FAITH
Lk 12:22–31– O YE OF LITTLE FAITH?

26—Faith–Little faith is
Mt 6:30–31–YE OF LITTLE FAITH (or trust)? This is those that take thought (or worry) about by what means they shall eat, or drink, or by what means they shall be clothed.
Mt 8:24–26–YE OF LITTLE FAITH (or trust). This is those that are fearful even though they know that Jesus is with them.
Mt 14:29–31–LITTLE FAITH (or trust) is looking at situations and doubting, rather than trusting in Jesus.
Mt 16:5–9–O YE OF LITTLE FAITH (or trust), WHY REASON YE AMONG YOURSELVES,…DO YE NOT YET UNDERSTAND? A lack of understanding is related to little faith or little faith is related to a lack of understanding.
Lk 12:22–31– O YE OF LITTLE FAITH (or trust)? AND SEEK NOT YE WHAT YE SHALL EAT, OR WHAT YE SHALL DRINK, NEITHER BE YE OF DOUBTFUL MIND. Little faith is not trusting Jesus will provide your basic needs. Little faith is faith mixed with doubts. The following shows that Jesus does provide for those that follow Him. Lk 2:35–Jesus said, WHEN I SENT YOU WITHOUT PURSE, AND SCRIP, AND SHOES, LACKED YE ANY THING? AND THEY SAID, NOTHING. For those that follow Jesus and are spiritually minded, they can truly say that Jesus meets all their needs. For those that are worldly minded, they can be expected to say Jesus does not meet all their desires. There is a condition on Jesus meeting a person’s needs. It is stated in Lk 12:31–BUT RATHER SEEK YE THE KINGDOM OF GOD; AND ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE ADDED UNTO YOU.

27–Faith–Mutual faith
Ro 1:11–12–I MAY BE COMFORTED.WITH YOU BY THE MUTUAL FAITH (or trust) BOTH OF YOU AND ME.

FAITH AND TRUST

28—Faith–Faith or a lack of faith can be seen or understood by what a person does or says
Mt 9:2–THEY BROUGHT TO HIM (Jesus) A MAN SICK OF THE PALSY, LYING ON A BED. Faith can be seen by what a person does.
Mk 2:4–5, ref Lk 5:18–20–JESUS SAW THEIR FAITH (or trust), HE SAID UNTO THE SICK OF THE PALSY, SON, THY SINS BE FORGIVEN THEE. Jesus saw their faith by what they did. Faith can be seen by what a person does.
Lk 8:43–48–A WOMAN HAVING AN ISSUE OF BLOOD TWELVE YEARS,…CAME BEHIND HIM (Jesus), AND TOUCHED THE BORDER OF HIS GARMENT: AND IMMEDIATELY HER ISSUE OF BLOOD STANCHED. AND JESUS SAID, WHO TOUCHED ME?…AND HE SAID UNTO HER, DAUGHTER, BE OF GOOD COMFORT: THY FAITH (or trust) HATH MADE THEE WHOLE; GO IN PEACE.
Lk 8:23–25–AS THEY SAILED HE (Jesus) FELL ASLEEP: AND THERE CAME DOWN A STORM OF WIND ON THE LAKE…AND THEY…AWOKE HIM, SAYING, MASTER, MASTER, WE PERISH. THEN HE AROSE, AND REBUKED THE WIND AND THE RAGING OF THE WATER: AND THEY CEASED,…AND HE SAID,…WHERE IS YOUR FAITH (or trust)?

29—Faith–Healing faith
Acts 14:8–10–AND THERE SAT A CERTAIN MAN AT LYSTRA, IMPOTENT IN HIS FEET, BEING A CRIPPLE FROM HIS MOTHER’S WOMB, WHO NEVER HAD WALKED: THE SAME HEARD PAUL SPEAK: WHO STEDFASTLY BEHOLDING HIM, AND PERCEIVING THAT HE HAD FAITH TO BE HEALED, SAID WITH A LOUD VOICE, STAND UPRIGHT ON THY FEET. AND HE LEAPED AND WALKED.
Lk 8:43,44,48–AND A WOMAN HAVING AN ISSUE OF BLOOD TWELVE YEARS, WHICH HAD SPENT ALL HER LIVING UPON PHYSICIANS, NEITHER COULD BE HEALED OF ANY, CAME BEHIND HIM, AND TOUCHED THE BORDER OF HIS GARMENT: AND IMMEDIATELY HER ISSUE OF BLOOD STANCHED. AND HE SAID UNTO HER, DAUGHTER, BE OF GOOD COMFORT: THY FAITH HATH MADE THEE WHOLE; GO IN PEACE.
It is written in James 5:14–16–
IS ANY SICK (or ill) AMONG YOU?
    LET HIM
CALL FOR THE ELDERS OF THE CHURCH; AND
    LET THEM PRAY OVER HIM,
ANOINTING HIM WITH OIL IN THE NAME OF THE LORD:
AND THE PRAYER (OFFERED IN) FAITH (or trust)
SHALL SAVE (or heal) THE SICK, (or make the sick person well–NIV)
    AND THE LORD SHALL RAISE HIM UP (or restore his health);
AND IF HE HAVE COMMITTED SINS, THEY SHALL BE FORGIVEN HIM.
The person that needs healing is to (Openly) CONFESS (or acknowledge) YOUR FAULTS (or sins) ONE TO ANOTHER,
    AND PRAY ONE FOR ANOTHER,
    THAT YE MAY BE HEALED.
THE EFFECTUAL FERVENT PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN AVAILETH MUCH (or is powerful and effective).

This is a message to the church, to the ELDERS of the church, and to the sick. The sick person is to call for the elders. This is because elders are to be people of strong faith.
The elders are then to anoint the person with oil in the name of the Lord. Then they are to pray in faith for the person to be healed.
Now the message goes to the sick person who is to confess their faults or sins openly, plus the sick person is to also pray for other sick people.
There is another message here also. When a person becomes ill, they should first examine themselves by God’s Word to see if they have sinned in some way. All have sinned. Sickness can be a result of many things such as giving a place to the devil, sin, chastisement, correction, or other things. But the person should also be willing to confess their sins as the Scriptures have said.
When a person calls for the elders of the church, when it comes times for them to confess openly their sins, there is usually a loud voice in the person’s head saying don't do this. Fear may come upon the person as they consider confessing their sins as others are listening. The person’s obedience is also being tested. Many times the person shrinks back and will not do this. Neither will they consider it important to pray for others that are sick, so they do not do this also. Then if their healing does not take place, they may accuse God, when it was their own disobedience that was the problem. From the time you read this, you can not say you did not know. God forbid should you be a person that says they have no sins.
Note in the verse, it says IF HE HAVE COMMITTED SINS. Sickness can be a result of sin, however, this is not always the case.
Other Scriptures indicate that there are people that have the faith to be healed, but not the faith to be obedient. The Scriptures appear to indicate that it takes less faith to be healed than to be obedient. This is clearly shown in Mark 7:32–36.
Mk 7:32–36–AND THEY BRING UNTO HIM ONE THAT WAS DEAF, AND HAD AN IMPEDIMENT IN HIS SPEECH; AND THEY BESEECH HIM TO PUT HIS HAND UPON HIM. AND HE TOOK HIM ASIDE FROM THE MULTITUDE, AND PUT HIS FINGERS INTO HIS EARS, AND HE SPIT, AND TOUCHED HIS TONGUE; AND LOOKING UP TO HEAVEN, HE SIGHED, AND SAITH UNTO HIM, EPHPHATHA, THAT IS, BE OPENED. AND STRAIGHTWAY HIS EARS WERE OPENED, AND THE STRING OF HIS TONGUE WAS LOOSED, AND HE SPAKE PLAIN. AND HE CHARGED THEM THAT THEY SHOULD TELL NO MAN: BUT THE MORE HE CHARGED THEM, SO MUCH THE MORE A GREAT DEAL THEY PUBLISHED IT.
It may also take less faith to be healed, than to be thankful. Note Lk 17:12–19. AND AS HE ENTERED INTO A CERTAIN VILLAGE, THERE MET HIM TEN MEN THAT WERE LEPERS, WHICH STOOD AFAR OFF: AND THEY LIFTED UP THEIR VOICES, AND SAID, JESUS, MASTER, HAVE MERCY ON US. HE SAID UNTO THEM, GO SHEW YOURSELVES UNTO THE PRIESTS. AND IT CAME TO PASS, THAT, AS THEY WENT, THEY WERE CLEANSED. AND ONE OF THEM, WHEN HE SAW THAT HE WAS HEALED, TURNED BACK, AND WITH A LOUD VOICE GLORIFIED GOD, AND FELL DOWN ON HIS FACE AT HIS FEET, GIVING HIM THANKS: AND HE WAS A SAMARITAN. AND JESUS ANSWERING SAID, WERE THERE NOT TEN CLEANSED? BUT WHERE ARE THE NINE? THERE ARE NOT FOUND THAT RETURNED TO GIVE GLORY TO GOD, SAVE THIS STRANGER. AND HE SAID UNTO HIM, ARISE, GO THY WAY: THY FAITH (or trust) HATH MADE THEE WHOLE. Faith and thankfulness are related here. They had faith to ask Jesus to have mercy on them. They had faith enough to obey him to begin going to the priests. Only one had a thankful attitude and faith to be made whole.
These items are mentioned because there are some that teach things about God healing a person that is not always Biblical. We are not to have faith in the healing, but rather we are to have faith in God. There are times a person may open the door for Satan to attack them with sickness because of sin–Eph 4:27. There are times God may allow sickness upon a person for correction or some other purpose–ref Ja 9:2,3. Paul had a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet him, lest he should be exalted above measure–ref 2 Cor 12:7. We do not know what it was. Some believe his eye site, or his speech, or something else. Paul sought the Lord that it might leave Him, but the Lord said: My grace is sufficient for thee. And he said unto me,: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong–ref 2 Cor 12:8–12. Beware of those that may accuse others of not having faith if they are not healed. The Bible tells us of Epaphroditus, a brother, and fellowsoldier that ministered to Paul’s wants. He had been sick and was near death because of the work of Christ for he regarded not his life. But God has mercy on him–ref Phili 2:25–30
The subject of this category is healing faith which has just been covered. Regarding the subject of healing, these Scriptures can also be considered. Jesus gave his 12 disciples power and authority over all devils and to cure diseases–ref Lk 9:1,2; ref Mt 10:1. He sent forth the twelve to preach and heal the sick, cleanse the lepers and raise the dead freely–ref Mt 10:5–8. Later Jesus appointed other seventy and sent them to heal the sick–ref Lk 10:1,9. Lk 5:17 tells us that the power of the Lord was present to heal them–ref Lk 5:17. The company of believers that Peter and John went to, prayed and the place was shaken. They prayed about speaking God’s Word with boldness and stretching forth thine hand to heal…by the name of thy Holy Child Jesus–ref Acts 4:30,31. And finally there is the gift of healing by the same Spirit that is given to some–ref 1 Cor 12:9.

30—Faith–Obedient faith
Faith that prompts a person to be obedient to God in all things is a strong faith. A small amount of faith should produce a small amount of obedience. A medium amount of faith should produce a medium amount of obedience. Strong faith should produce much obedience. Great faith should produce great obedience. Under the category of healing faith, it is noted that there were those that had faith to come to Jesus to be healed and they were healed, however, when Jesus commanded them to do certain things which required obedience, their faith failed. In some instances when they disobeyed Jesus, it caused Him some difficulty as He could no longer walk openly.
Acts 6:7– GREAT COMPANY OF THE PRIESTS WERE OBEDIENT TO THE FAITH.
Ro 1:3–5–WE HAVE RECEIVED GRACE AND APOSTLESHIP, FOR OBEDIENCE TO THE FAITH.
Ro 16:26–BUT NOW IS MADE MANIFEST, AND BY THE SCRIPTURES.FOR THE OBEDIENCE OF FAITH:
    Heb 5:8–THOUGH HE WERE A SON, YET LEARNED HE OBEDIENCE BY THE THINGS WHICH HE SUFFERED;

31—Faith–Stand by faith
When a person comes to Jesus, it is because God has opened the Scriptures to them and they begin to understand. Through God's Word comes faith or trust. However some fall away quickly, while others grow in faith. Ultimately some of those that grow in faith, later fall away, as Satan knows exactly how to tempt and deceive man and the whole world. Their faith fails. Nevertheless, no person will be tempted beyond what they are able to endure which could even include death by being beheaded.
Then there are those few that will stand fast until the end. They weather the many violent storms, the heavy rains, the huge floods, and the winds that were so strong that some giant trees were up rooted. They hurt real bad at times. Their emotions raged inside themselves. There were many hardships. There were many false accusers against them. There were many that hated them and wanted to kill them. They cried. They feared. They had thoughts that God had left them. They prayed, and yet there seemed to be no answers at times but they do not turn from trusting in God.
Finally, the day comes when the Lord tells them to come home. They die in faith or are called to come up hither. We may say they are scared, and have dents here and there. But their faith was proved genuine through many, many tests and trials. And as they go to be with Jesus for eternity, there will be no more tears for they will be with the Lamb of God. And they will hear the Words of God himself telling them, Mt 7:23–WELL DONE, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT; THOU HAST BEEN FAITHFUL OVER A FEW THINGS, I WILL MAKE THEE RULER OVER MANY THINGS: ENTER THOU INTO THE JOY OF THY LORD. Will you be among these few, tried, tired, and weary soldiers of the Lord?

Ro 5:2–BY WHOM ALSO WE HAVE ACCESS BY FAITH (or trust) INTO THIS GRACE WHEREIN WE STAND, AND REJOICE IN HOPE OF THE GLORY OF GOD.
1 Cor 16:13–WATCH YE, STAND FAST IN THE FAITH, QUIT YOU LIKE MEN (or be brave, be men of courage), BE STRONG.
2 Cor 1:24–NOT FOR THAT WE HAVE DOMINION OVER YOUR FAITH, BUT ARE HELPERS OF YOUR JOY: FOR BY FAITH (or trust) YE STAND.
By faith (or trust) you stand. By faith (or trust) you endure. By faith (or trust) you overcome all things.

32—Faith–Not weak in faith
Ro 4:19–AND BEING NOT WEAK IN FAITH (or trust), HE CONSIDERED NOT HIS OWN BODY NOW DEAD.
Having faith in God pleases God for it is written: Heb 11:5–BY FAITH (or trust) ENOCH…PLEASED GOD.

33—Faith–Sound faith
Titus 1:13–14–…REBUKE THEM SHARPLY, THAT THEY MAY BE SOUND IN THE FAITH.

34—Faith–Stedfast faith
1 Pe 5:8–9–THE DEVIL,…WALKETH ABOUT, SEEKING WHOM HE MAY DEVOUR: WHOM RESIST STEDFAST IN THE FAITH (or trust). Note the words STEDFAST…FAITH.

35—Faith–Rich in faith
GOD (has) CHOSEN THE POOR OF THIS WORLD RICH IN FAITH (or trust).

36—Faith–Strong in faith
Ro 4:20–HE STAGGERED NOT AT THE PROMISE OF GOD THROUGH UNBELIEF; BUT WAS STRONG IN FAITH (or trust), GIVING GLORY TO GOD.

37—Faith–Strong in faith is
Ro 4:20,21 STRONG IN FAITH…AND BEING FULLY PERSUADED.

38—Faith–Results of strong faith
Ro 1:8–…YOUR FAITH (or trust) IS SPOKEN OF THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE WORLD.

39—Faith–Great faith
Mt 8:8–10 (ref Lk 7:2–10)I HAVE NOT FOUND SO GREAT FAITH (or trust), NO, NOT IN ISRAEL.
Mt 15:21–28–O WOMAN, GREAT IS THY FAITH (or trust).

40—Faith–Great faith is
Mt 8:8–10 (ref Lk 7:2–10)–Great faith is those that humble themselves, understand God’s authority and completely trust in the Words of Jesus.
Mt 15:21–28–Great faith is being persistent in asking Jesus for help, not being offended, not losing hope, or giving up even though it appears Jesus will not help as in the case of A WOMAN OF CANAAN. One time the disciples wanted her sent away, and three times Jesus’ Words seemed discouraging yet she persisted in faith.

41—Faith–Full of faith; Full assurance of faith
Acts 6:5–THEY CHOSE STEPHEN, A MAN FULL OF FAITH (or trust) AND OF THE HOLY GHOST
Acts 6:8–STEPHEN, FULL OF FAITH (or trust) AND POWER, DID GREAT WONDERS AND MIRACLES
Acts 11:22,24–BARNABAS, FULL…OF FAITH (or trust).
    Heb 10:22–FULL ASSURANCE OF FAITH

42—Faith–Mustard seed faith. Faith with no doubts in your heart
Mt 17:18–20–IF YE HAVE FAITH (or trust) AS A GRAIN OF MUSTARD SEED, YE SHALL SAY UNTO THIS MOUNTAIN, REMOVE HENCE TO YONDER PLACE; AND IT SHALL REMOVE; AND NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE UNTO YOU.
Mt 21:19–22–IF YE HAVE FAITH(or trust), AND DOUBT NOT,…IF YE SHALL SAY UNTO THIS MOUNTAIN, BE THOU REMOVED,…IT SHALL BE DONE. AND ALL THINGS, WHATSOEVER YE SHALL ASK IN PRAYER, BELIEVING, YE SHALL RECEIVE.
Mk 11:20–23–WHOSOEVER SHALL SAY UNTO THIS MOUNTAIN, BE THOU REMOVED, AND…CAST INTO THE SEA; AND SHALL NOT DOUBT IN HIS HEART, BUT SHALL BELIEVE THAT THOSE THINGS WHICH HE SAITH SHALL COME TO PASS; HE SHALL HAVE WHATSOEVER HE SAITH.
Lk 17:5,6–AND THE LORD SAID, IF YE HAD FAITH (or trust) AS A GRAIN OF MUSTARD SEED, YE MIGHT SAY UNTO THIS SYCAMINE TREE, BE THOU PLUCKED UP BY THE ROOT, AND BE THOU PLANTED IN THE SEA; AND IT SHOULD OBEY YOU.

43—Faith–Precious faith
1 Pe 1:7–YOUR FAITH (or trust), BEING MUCH MORE PRECIOUS THAN OF GOLD THAT PERISHETH.
2 Pe 1:1–SIMON PETER,…TO THEM THAT HAVE OBTAINED LIKE PRECIOUS FAITH (or trust).

44—Faith–I trust in God
So what should our attitude be in the midst of joyful and peaceful times, stressful times, and the worse of times?
The second Scripture substitutes the word faith for trust.
2 Ki 18:22–WE TRUST IN THE LORD OUR GOD. We have faith in the Lord our God.

ADDITIONAL HEADINGS REGARDING FAITH

45–Faith and love
1 Cor 13:2–AND THOUGH I HAVE…ALL KNOWLEDGE; AND THOUGH I HAVE ALL FAITH (or trust), SO THAT I COULD REMOVE MOUNTAINS, AND HAVE NOT CHARITY (or love), I AM NOTHING.
1 Cor 13:12–13–NOW ABIDETH FAITH (or trust), HOPE, CHARITY (or love), THESE THREE; BUT THE GREATEST OF THESE IS CHARITY (or love).
2 Cor 8:7–ABOUND IN EVERY THING, IN FAITH (or trust),…AND IN YOUR LOVE TO US.
Gal 5:6–FOR IN JESUS CHRIST NEITHER CIRCUMCISION AVAILETH ANY THING, NOR UNCIRCUMCISION; BUT FAITH (or trust) WHICH WORKETH BY LOVE. Faith is a weightier matter of the law. Faith in Jesus Christ Who is come in the flesh is the foundation. But even if a person has all faith, if they do not have Biblical love for God and the brethren, then they are nothing. Their faith will not work. It is as if they have no faith (or trust) at all.
Gal 5:22–23–BUT THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT IS LOVE, JOY, PEACE, LONGSUFFERING (or patience), GENTLENESS (or kindness), GOODNESS, FAITH (or trust)(or faithfulness–NIV,JNT,NKJ), MEEKNESS (or humility)(or gentleness), (and) TEMPERANCE (or self control): AGAINST SUCH THERE IS NO LAW.
Phile 1:5–HEARING OF THY LOVE AND FAITH (or trust), WHICH THOU HAST TOWARD THE LORD JESUS, AND TOWARD ALL SAINTS. Note the words “love and faith” toward Jesus AND all saints.
Which best fits you? Is it the fruits of the Spirit, or is it the following–anger, hate, not loving God with all your heart, not loving the brethren as you ought, sometimes speaking against the brethren, sometimes not helping them when they need help, not studying God’s Word as you ought, envy, jealousy, strife, arguing, stubbornness, rebellious, stingy, excuses, murmurings, complainings, accusings, wanting your own way, wanting things that God does not give you, not wanting God to rule over you in all things, having a temper, often being mad, little joy, little peace, being uptight, a lack of patience in some situations and with God, short–fused, being in a shell, not kind to people as you ought to be, thinking of yourself more highly than you ought, self–centeredness, wanting your own way, wanting to be in control, you talk too much and have problems controlling your tongue, sometimes curse or take God’s name in vain, not trusting God to meet your needs in times of difficulty, not believing all of God’s Word and not believing that all things work together for good in your case, angry at God sometimes, not faithful in the things of God and His work, not a meek and humble spirit, prideful, not a gentle person, sometimes a lack of self–control, not childlike to correction but sometimes despise correction, being fearful, not fearing God, loving the world, and being ashamed of Jesus and God’s Word when around unbelievers? Are you a person that has a difficult time admitting your sins and admitting how sinful you really are? Do you compare yourself with the people of this world rather than with Jesus? If a clerk gives you too much money back, do you make it right, or do you keep it? Do you neglect to tithe, give offerings, and give to the poor as you ought? Do you tell lies sometimes or mislead people? Are you deceitful at times? Do you seek to be noticed and admired? Do you seek after the deceitfulness of money, sex, drugs, alcohol, or smoking? Are you a gluttonous person? Is food, pleasures, lusts, or the cares of this world your God?
Which of the two lists best describes you? What is the center of your universe? Is it you, this world, some person, some desire, some lust, or is it God and His Word? Is faith which works by love working in you to change you to be more like Christ? Have you really become converted and born again? Was Jesus and the work of God once the most important thing in your life, but now have you become lukewarm? Do you have problems getting along with other born again Christians? Is there something in your life that needs to be repented of? Have you crucified your flesh and do you deny yourself as God’s Word tells you to do? Do you refuse to leave your church or denomination for a good Bible teaching, God fearing church because your friends or relatives all go there? Are you a stubborn person that might say, “I was raised a Catholic, and I’ll die a catholic, and no one can make me change?”
Is God’s Word effectually working in you to change you to be more conformed to the image of Christ?–ref 1 Thes 2:13, or are you resisting?
If you can’t receive correction from your minister whom you have seen, how can you receive correction from God whom you have not seen?

Note: If you might wonder why there is so much emphasis on some of the things mentioned above in this text, it is because Satan has deceived the whole world–ref Rev 12:9. There is little sound or healthy teaching anymore on these things. There is little teaching today that is without defects. There is little teaching on repentance, fearing God, obeying God’s Word, denying oneself, following Jesus, holiness, perfection, the judgments, hell, the lake of fire, and the prophecies of Isaiah, Joel, Daniel, and the Revelation. This is the generation where people gather around themselves preachers that say what their itching ears want to hear, rather than preachers that teach what they need to hear. This is the generation (or general time) that will see the return of Jesus Christ, yet much of the world is blind to such teaching. The rapture will come soon. The antichrist will come forth just as predicted. The Middle east will explode in war. One–third of the world will become involved, and one quarter of the world’s population will die. Before the terrible tribulation time is over, more than one–half of the world’s population will die. During the tribulation of those days, people will be required to take the mark of the (beast) or antichrist, or number of his name–666. Those that do have committed an unforgivable sin. Those that do not cannot buy or sell–ref Rev 13:17, but eternity with God awaits them–ref Rev 15:2. Then immediately after the tribulation of those days, Jesus Christ will return in power and great glory at the time of Armageddon, but few people will survive. So it is written, and so it shall be. It will come to pass, whether you believe it or not. It is an absolute fact–if a person does not repent, pick up their cross and follow the Jesus of the Bible, they will surely perish for eternity. If you have repented and do believe on Jesus Christ as your only hope of salvation, then obey God and get baptized by full immersion in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit–ref Mt 28:19; Ro 6:4; Col 2:12. Then attend the church God has picked out for you, where you can grow in faith. Do not stay in a lukewarm or spiritually dead church, thinking you can save others there. God’s Word clearly tells His followers to come out from these–ref 2 Cor 6:17; Rev 18:4. Have no fellowship with the unfruitful workers of darkness–ref Eph 5:11. Do not deceive yourselves, make excuses, and rebel against God’s Word, and then think you are following Him.
Again, regarding the subject of faith and love, it is written:
Eph 1:15–…I HEARD OF YOUR FAITH (or trust) IN THE LORD JESUS, AND LOVE UNTO ALL THE SAINTS.
Eph 3:17–CHRIST MAY DWELL IN YOUR HEARTS BY FAITH (or trust); THAT YE, BEING ROOTED AND GROUNDED IN LOVE.
Col 1:3–4–WE GIVE THANKS TO GOD…SINCE WE HEARD OF YOUR FAITH (or trust) IN CHRIST JESUS, AND OF THE LOVE WHICH YE HAVE TO ALL THE SAINTS.
1 Thes 5:8–(Put) ON THE BREASTPLATE OF FAITH (or trust) AND LOVE. Biblical faith and love combined is called a breastplate. The breastplate if used correctly will help protect the Christian from the onslaught of Satan and his devices.
2 Thes 1:3–WE…THANK GOD,…BECAUSE THAT YOUR FAITH (or trust) GROWETH EXCEEDINGLY, AND THE CHARITY (or love)…TOWARD EACH OTHER ABOUNDETH.
1 Tim 1:5,6–…THE END OF THE COMMANDMENT IS CHARITY (or love) OUT OF A PURE HEART,…A GOOD CONSCIENCE, AND OF FAITH (or trust).
1 Tim 1:14–AND THE GRACE OF OUR LORD WAS EXCEEDING ABUNDANT WITH FAITH (or trust) AND LOVE WHICH IS IN CHRIST JESUS.
1 Tim 2:14–15–…THE WOMAN (or women)…SHALL BE SAVED IN (or through) CHILDBEARING, IF THEY CONTINUE IN (1) FAITH (or trust) AND (2) CHARITY (or love) AND (3) HOLINESS WITH SOBRIETY (or self control). Note the three words: faith, love, and holiness with self–control. 1–Trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, for direction, for our very life, and for providing our needs. 2–Love God and love the brethren. 3–Holiness which includes godly self–control. The verse did not say to begin doing these, but to continue doing them.
Titus 3:15–GREET THEM THAT LOVE US IN THE FAITH. Over and over se see the two words faith and love appearing together in God’s Word.
Titus 2:2–THAT…MEN BE…SOUND IN FAITH (or trust), IN CHARITY (or love), IN PATIENCE.
Note the words (sound in faith) and in love. Sound means to be healthy and having no defect as to the truth, to justice, to wisdom, to reasoning, to doctrine. Be SOUND in faith.
2 Tim 1:13–HOLD FAST THE.SOUND WORDS,…IN FAITH (or trust) AND LOVE WHICH IS IN CHRIST JESUS.
Eph 6:23–PEACE BE TO THE BRETHREN, AND LOVE WITH FAITH (or trust), FROM GOD THE FATHER AND THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.

46—Faith–Trust and prayer
Ps 7:1–O LORD MY GOD, IN THEE DO I PUT MY TRUST: SAVE ME FROM ALL THEM THAT PERSECUTE ME, AND DELIVER ME:
Ps 16:1–PRESERVE ME, O GOD: FOR IN THEE DO I PUT MY TRUST.
Ps 25:2–O MY GOD, I TRUST IN THEE: LET ME NOT BE ASHAMED, LET NOT MINE ENEMIES TRIUMPH OVER ME.
Ps 25:20–O KEEP MY SOUL, AND DELIVER ME: LET ME NOT BE ASHAMED; FOR I PUT MY TRUST IN THEE.
Ps 31:1–IN THEE, O LORD, DO I PUT MY TRUST; LET ME NEVER BE ASHAMED: DELIVER ME IN THY RIGHTEOUSNESS.
Ps 71:1–IN THEE, O LORD, DO I PUT MY TRUST: LET ME NEVER BE PUT TO CONFUSION.
Ps 143:8–…IN THEE DO I TRUST: CAUSE ME TO KNOW THE WAY WHEREIN I SHOULD WALK; FOR I LIFT UP MY SOUL UNTO THEE.

47—Faith–Live by faith
Hab 2:4–THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY HIS FAITH (or trust). In the same manner it may be said that the unjust will not live by faith.
Ro 1:17–…THEREIN IS THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD REVEALED FROM FAITH TO FAITH: AS IT IS WRITTEN, THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH (or trust).
Gal 2–17, 18,20 BUT IF, WHILE WE SEEK TO BE JUSTIFIED BY CHRIST, WE OURSELVES ALSO ARE FOUND SINNERS, (or we may say, we continue to practice sin), IS THEREFORE CHRIST THE MINISTER OF SIN? GOD FORBID. FOR IF I BUILD AGAIN THE THINGS WHICH I DESTROYED, (or we may say, If I go back to the things I repented of) I MAKE MYSELF A TRANSGRESSOR. I AM CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST:…BUT CHRIST LIVETH IN ME:…I NOW LIVE…BY THE FAITH OF THE SON OF GOD.
Gal 3:11–THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.
Gal 3:12–THE LAW IS NOT OF FAITH.

48—Faith–Fear God and trust in Him
Ps 31:19–OH HOW GREAT IS THY GOODNESS,…FOR THEM THAT FEAR THEE;…THAT TRUST IN THEE.
Ps 40:3–MANY SHALL…FEAR, AND SHALL TRUST IN THE LORD.
Ps 115:11–YE THAT FEAR THE LORD, TRUST IN THE LORD.
Acts 13:16–THEN PAUL STOOD UP, AND BECKONING WITH HIS HAND SAID, MEN OF ISRAEL, AND YE THAT FEAR GOD, GIVE AUDIENCE.
Acts 13:26–MEN AND BRETHREN, CHILDREN OF THE STOCK OF ABRAHAM, AND WHOSOEVER AMONG YOU FEARETH GOD, TO YOU IS THE WORD OF THIS SALVATION SENT.

49—Faith–Walk by faith
2 Cor 5:7–(FOR WE WALK BY FAITH (or trust), NOT BY SIGHT:)

50—Faith–Stand fast by faith
1 Cor 16:13–WATCH YE, STAND FAST IN THE FAITH, (BE MEN OF COURAGE–NIV, BE BRAVE–NKJ), BE STRONG.
2 Cor 1:24–BUT ARE HELPERS OF YOUR JOY: FOR BY FAITH (or trust) YE STAND.
1 Pe 1:4,5–YOU…ARE KEPT BY THE POWER OF GOD THROUGH FAITH (or trust) UNTO SALVATION
If a person loses their faith in God’s Word, in Jesus Christ, they are no longer standing by faith. They are no longer being kept by the power of God through faith.

51—Faith–Steps of faith
Ro 4:13–FOR THE PROMISE,…WAS NOT TO ABRAHAM, OR TO HIS SEED, THROUGH THE LAW, BUT THROUGH THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF FAITH.
Then Ro 4:12–tells us to WALK IN THE STEPS OF THAT FAITH (or trust). As a baby does not grow to be an adult in 1 step, so a born again Christian does not grow from little faith to great faith in one step. It is a process that begins when God opens the doors of understanding of a person’s heart to receive His Word. Then through the foundation of hearing, studying believing, and obeying God’s Word, faith grows. Through the process or steps of going through good times, bad times, stressful times, hurting times, times of suffering, and dying to oneself times, faith is tested to see if it is genuine. Those that have a good or good and honest heart, their faith grows even under the most adverse conditions. There are times of great joy, but there are times of great sadness and hurts. There are times of peace, but there are also times of many tears and much crying. God tells us: FOR EVEN HEREUNTO WERE YE CALLED: BECAUSE CHRIST ALSO SUFFERED FOR US, LEAVING US AN EXAMPLE, THAT YE SHOULD FOLLOW HIS STEPS: WHO DID NO SIN, NEITHER WAS GUILE FOUND IN HIS MOUTH–1 Pe 2:21,22.
It is written: DOTH NOT HE SEE MY WAYS, AND COUNT ALL MY STEPS?–Job 31:4. THE STEPS OF A GOOD MAN ARE ORDERED BY THE LORD: AND HE DELIGHTETH IN HIS WAY–Ps 37:23.
THE MOUTH OF THE RIGHTEOUS SPEAKETH WISDOM, AND HIS TONGUE TALKETH OF JUDGMENT. THE LAW OF HIS GOD IS IN HIS HEART; NONE OF HIS STEPS SHALL SLIDE–Ps 37:30,31.
No matter what steps comes in a person’s life, the Christian’s heart should not turn back, NEITHER should their STEPS decline FROM THY WAY–ref Ps 44:18
A Christian might consider praying: ORDER MY STEPS IN THY WORD: AND LET NOT ANY INIQUITY HAVE DOMINION OVER ME–Ps 119:133.
God tells us: A MAN’S HEART DEVISETH HIS WAY: BUT THE LORD DIRECTETH HIS STEPS–Pv 16:9. Don’t resist what God is seeking to do in your life. IN ALL THY WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM, AND HE SHALL DIRECT THY PATHS. BE NOT WISE IN THINE OWN EYES: FEAR THE LORD, AND DEPART FROM EVIL. IT SHALL BE HEALTH TO THY NAVEL, AND MARROW TO THY BONES–Pv 3:6–8

52—Faith–Faith causes a person to do things that they would not normally do.
Faith will have evidence.
Faith without works is dead
True Biblical trust in Jesus Christ will have evidence. A person will not be ashamed of Jesus. A person that has faith will do things they might not otherwise do. A person that has true Biblical faith and believes God’s Word will have a changed attitude. Their attitude, as a follower of Jesus, should be that they will now do those things that are pleasing to God, for in times past they did the things that were pleasing to their worldly nature. In times past their worldly nature had no heart for God’s Word, but now their new nature craves God’s Word, loves God, and loves their brothers and sisters in Christ. In times past they accused people, pointed fingers, and made excuses, but now they should have repented of these sins. In the past they did not forgive, but now as they have been forgiven, they forgive also.
Are you uptight around God’s people?
Are you uncomfortable when you do God’s Work?
Are you uptight in God’s house?
And when it comes time to leave God’s house, are you the first one out the door?
Are you uncomfortable when your church has you greet other people in Christ?
If the evidence of a changed, Christ–like attitude is not present, then how can Christ be present?
Those in Christ should understand these Words by the Spirit of God.
Those make believe Christians, “Just don’t get it”. Their understanding is not in line with God’s Word, and this also is usually not understood by them.
IF YOU HAVE EARS TO HEAR, then hear God’s Word and repent

Ja 2:14–17–WHAT (GOOD IS IT), MY (BROTHERS), (IF) A MAN SAY HE HATH FAITH (or trust), (BUT HAS NO) WORKS? (or HAS NO ACTIONS [or we might say no evidence] TO PROVE IT–JNT)? IS SUCH FAITH ABLE TO SAVE HIM?–JNT The following Scriptures answer this question. The question is no. Faith alone or by itself cannot save a person. (Here are some examples). (SUPPOSE) A BROTHER OR SISTER (IS) NAKED (or without cloths), AND DESTITUTE OF DAILY FOOD, AND ONE OF YOU SAY UNTO THEM, (GO, I WISH YOU WELL–NIV), (KEEP WARM AND EAT HEARTY)–JNT; BUT DOES NOTHING ABOUT HIS PHYSICAL NEEDS, WHAT GOOD IS IT?–NIV). (WHAT GOOD DOES IT DO?–JNT). (IN THE SAME WAY) FAITH (or trust) (BY ITSELF), IF IT (IS NOT ACCOMPANIED BY ACTION)(or we may say evidence), IS DEAD, BEING ALONE. Note God uses the words DEAD FAITH.
Ja 2:18–19–(BUT SOMEONE WILL SAY), YOU HAVE FAITH (or trust), AND I HAVE WORKS (or deeds):
(SHOW ME THIS FAITH {or trust} OF YOURS–JNT) WITHOUT (YOUR) WORKS (or deeds), AND I WILL (SHOW YOU) MY FAITH (or trust) BY MY WORKS (or BY WHAT I DO). (YOU BELIEVE) THAT THERE IS ONE GOD; (GOOD FOR YOU): (Even) THE DEVILS ALSO BELIEVE, AND TREMBLE.
Ja 2:20–BUT WILT THOU KNOW (or do you want evidence–NIV), O VAIN (or foolish) MAN, THAT FAITH (or trust) WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD (or useless–NIV)? God’s Word seems to start this verse, in such a way, as to indicate that He doesn’t believe certain people will receive correction on this subject. The people that refuse to believe “faith without works is dead” may be uncorrectable. Note God’s Word “BUT WILT THOU KNOW?” God’s Word seems to indicates that the people that do not believe this truth are vain or foolish. We might liken these people to those of Mt 25:14–30. The person that received the one talent went and hid it. He was afraid to serve God, and made excuses. He perished. Many people profess that Jesus is their Saviour, but there is no deeds or works or evidence with their faith. There is no changed attitude. There is no indication that they have the mind of Christ, or that they are growing in faith. God’s Word goes on to say:
Ja 2:21–24–WAS NOT ABRAHAM OUR FATHER JUSTIFIED (or considered righteous) BY WORKS (or actions), WHEN HE HAD OFFERED ISAAC HIS SON UPON THE ALTAR? ((YOU SEE THAT HIS) FAITH (or trust) (WORKED) WITH HIS (ACTIONS), AND BY WORKS (or actions) WAS FAITH (or trust) MADE PERFECT (or complete)(by what he did)? (His faith and his actions were working together–NIV). AND THE SCRIPTURE WAS FULFILLED WHICH (SAYS), ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD (or had faith in God), AND IT WAS IMPUTED (or credited) (TO) HIM FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS: AND HE WAS CALLED (GOD’S FRIEND). YOU SEE THAT A PERSON IS JUSTIFIED BY WHAT HE DOES AND NOT BY FAITH (or trust) ONLY–ref NIV.
Ja 2:25,26–(IN THE SAME WAY) ALSO WAS NOT RAHAB THE (PROSTITUTE) JUSTIFIED (OR CONSIDERED RIGHTEOUS {BECAUSE OF} WHAT SHE DID), WHEN SHE HAD (WELCOMED)(or gave lodging to) THE MESSENGERS (or spies), AND HAD SENT THEM OUT (IN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION)–NIV? FOR AS THE BODY WITHOUT THE SPIRIT IS DEAD, SO FAITH (or trust) WITHOUT WORKS (or actions, or deeds) IS DEAD ALSO.

    A few examples follow:
Mt 9:20–22–A woman WITH AN ISSUE OF BLOOD TWELVE YEARS, CAME to Jesus and touched His garment. For she said within herself, If I may but touch His garment, I shall be whole.
Mt 9:2–By faith that Jesus seen, THEY BROUGHT TO (Jesus) A MAN SICK OF THE PALSY.
Mt 9:28–30–THE BLIND MEN (by faith) CAME TO Jesus and believed that He was able to heal them.
Mt 8:5–10–A CENTURION (by faith).CAME TO Jesus and asked Jesus to SPEAK THE WORD ONLY AND MY SERVANT SHALL BE HEALED.

Heb 11:4–BY FAITH (or trust) ABEL OFFERED UNTO GOD A MORE EXCELLENT SACRIFICE THAN CAIN, BY WHICH HE OBTAINED WITNESS THAT HE WAS RIGHTEOUS, GOD TESTIFYING OF HIS GIFTS: AND BY IT HE BEING DEAD YET SPEAKETH.
Heb 11:5–BY FAITH (or trust) ENOCH…HAD THIS TESTIMONY, THAT HE PLEASED GOD.
Heb 11:7–BY FAITH (or trust) NOAH,…MOVED WITH FEAR.
    Heb 11:7–BY FAITH (or trust) NOAH,…PREPARED AN ARK TO THE SAVING OF HIS HOUSE;
Heb 11:8–BY FAITH (or trust) ABRAHAM,…OBEYED.
Heb 11:8–BY FAITH (or trust) ABRAHAM,…AND HE WENT OUT, NOT KNOWING WHITHER HE WENT.
Heb 11:9–BY FAITH (or trust) HE (Abraham) SOJOURNED IN THE LAND OF PROMISE.
Heb 11:9–BY FAITH (or trust) HE (Abraham) SOJOURNED…AS IN A STRANGE COUNTRY.
Heb 11:9–BY FAITH (or trust) HE (Abraham)…DWELLING IN TABERNACLES WITH ISAAC AND JACOB.
Heb 11:9,10–BY FAITH (or trust) HE (Abraham)…LOOKED FOR A CITY WHICH HATH FOUNDATIONS, WHOSE BUILDER AND MAKER IS GOD.
Heb 11:11–THROUGH FAITH (or trust) ALSO SARA…JUDGED HIM FAITHFUL WHO HAD PROMISED. It might be asked if YOU judge God faithful to deliver on His promises to you personally.
Heb 11:17–BY FAITH (or trust) ABRAHAM, WHEN HE WAS TRIED (or tested), OFFERED UP ISAAC:
Heb 11:17–BY FAITH (or trust) ABRAHAM,…(he) THAT HAD RECEIVED THE PROMISES OFFERED UP HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON.
Heb 11:13,14–THESE…IN FAITH (or trust),…(and as a result of) ) THE PROMISES,…CONFESSED THAT THEY WERE STRANGERS AND PILGRIMS ON THE EARTH. FOR THEY THAT SAY SUCH THINGS DECLARE PLAINLY THAT THEY SEEK A COUNTRY.
Heb 11:20–BY FAITH (or trust) ISAAC BLESSED JACOB AND ESAU CONCERNING THINGS TO COME.
Heb 11:21–BY FAITH (or trust) JACOB, WHEN HE WAS A DYING, BLESSED BOTH THE SONS OF JOSEPH.
Heb 11:21–BY FAITH (or trust) JACOB,…WORSHIPPED, LEANING UPON THE TOP OF HIS STAFF.
Heb 11:22–BY FAITH (or trust) JOSEPH, WHEN HE DIED, MADE MENTION OF THE DEPARTING OF THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL.
Heb 11:22–BY FAITH (or trust) JOSEPH,…GAVE COMMANDMENT CONCERNING HIS BONES.
Heb 11:23–BY FAITH (or trust) MOSES, WHEN HE WAS BORN, WAS HID THREE MONTHS OF HIS PARENTS.
Heb 11:23–BY FAITH (or trust), the PARENTS of Moses…WERE NOT AFRAID OF THE KING’S COMMANDMENT.
Heb 11:24–BY FAITH (or trust) MOSES, WHEN HE WAS COME TO YEARS, REFUSED TO BE CALLED THE SON OF PHARAOH’S DAUGHTER.
Heb 11:24, 25–BY FAITH (or trust) MOSES, (choose) RATHER TO SUFFER AFFLICTION WITH THE PEOPLE OF GOD.
Heb 11:24, 25–BY FAITH (or trust) MOSES, (choose) (not) TO ENJOY THE PLEASURES OF SIN FOR A SEASON. Note that sin offers pleasure for a time. However, sin leads to hell and the lake of fire for eternity. Moses had the treasures and sinful pleasures of Egypt at his disposal, but rejected them.
Heb 11:24,26– BY FAITH (or trust) MOSES, (esteemed) THE REPROACH OF CHRIST GREATER RICHES THAN THE TREASURES IN EGYPT.
Heb 11:27–BY FAITH (or trust) HE (Moses) FORSOOK EGYPT.
Heb 11:27–BY FAITH (or trust) HE (Moses) (did not fear) THE WRATH OF THE KING.
Heb 11:28–THROUGH FAITH (or trust) (Moses) KEPT THE PASSOVER.
Heb 11:28–THROUGH FAITH (or trust) (Moses) KEPT…THE SPRINKLING OF BLOOD, LEST HE THAT DESTROYED THE FIRSTBORN SHOULD TOUCH THEM. In other words, they feared God.
Heb 11:29–BY FAITH (or trust) THEY (the children of Israel) PASSED THROUGH THE RED SEA AS BY DRY LAND: WHICH THE EGYPTIANS (attempting) TO DO WERE DROWNED. The Egyptians had no faith. They perished.
Heb 11:30–BY FAITH (or trust) THE WALLS OF JERICHO…WERE (marched around) ABOUT SEVEN DAYS. (by the children of Israel).
Heb 11:31–BY FAITH (or trust) THE HARLOT RAHAB…RECEIVED THE SPIES WITH PEACE. This could have caused her to be put to death if it was found that she did this by the authorities.
Note this summary of the above Scriptures:
Faith offers a more excellent sacrifice

    Faith fears God
When God gives a person direction on what to do, faith does it with a right attitude
    Faith obeys God

Faith will stay where God directs, even in a strange country
Faith will stay with whom God directs
    Faith will judge God faithful

Faith will confess they are strangers and pilgrims on the earth
Faith will bless others concerning things to come
Faith will bless others even at the time of death

Faith will do that which is right, even if the consequences could bring death.
Now a question has to be asked of you. How does your faith and your fear of God measure up to these according to Scripture???????

53—Faith–There are many that will try to turn people from the faith
Acts 13:8–ELYMAS THE SORCERER…WITHSTOOD THEM, SEEKING TO TURN AWAY THE DEPUTY FROM THE FAITH. There are many that try to turn people from the faith.
Mk 5:35–36–THERE CAME FROM THE RULER OF THE SYNAGOGUE’S HOUSE CERTAIN WHICH SAID, THY DAUGHTER IS DEAD: WHY TROUBLEST THOU THE MASTER ANY FURTHER? AS SOON AS JESUS HEARD THE WORD THAT WAS SPOKEN, HE SAITH UNTO THE RULER OF THE SYNAGOGUE, BE NOT AFRAID, ONLY BELIEVE. There are many that try to turn people away from God’s Word     Gal 1:8–There are SOME THAT TROUBLE YOU; AND…PERVERT THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST…LET HIM BE ACCURSED. There are many that try to turn people away from God's Word.
Gal 1:1, 13, 23–(Paul)…I PERSECUTED THE CHURCH OF GOD, AND WASTED IT. There are many that use fear to try and turn a person away from the truth.
Gal 1:1, 23–(Paul)…THE FAITH WHICH ONCE HE DESTROYED. There are many that try to turn a person from the truth of God’s Word.
2 Tim 2:17,18–AND THEIR WORD WILL EAT AS DOTH A CANKER: OF WHOM IS HYMENAEUS AND PHILETUS; WHO CONCERNING THE TRUTH HAVE ERRED,…AND OVERTHROW THE FAITH (or trust) OF SOME. In other words–false doctrine will eat at you like a canker or cancer, slowly changing your thinking causing you to slowly go into error. And as you go into error you also begin to forget that which was right and what manner of person you were when you walked in the light. As a person goes into error, the darkness slowly replaces the light, and the darkness becomes light to a person, blinding their minds and heart to the truth, and hardens them to being soft to correction. Error hardens a person to correction. Truth softens a person to correction.
2 Tim 3:8–NOW AS JANNES AND JAMBRES WITHSTOOD MOSES,…THESE ALSO RESIST THE TRUTH: MEN OF CORRUPT MINDS, REPROBATE CONCERNING THE FAITH.

54—Faith–Weak brother
Ro 14:22–(Regarding doing something that can cause a weak brother to stumble, or be offended, or made weak) HAST THOU FAITH (or trust)? HAVE IT TO THYSELF BEFORE GOD. HAPPY IS HE THAT CONDEMNETH NOT HIMSELF IN THAT THING WHICH HE ALLOWETH.

55—Faith can fail. Be on your guard
Correction
Lk 22:31–34–AND THE LORD SAID, SIMON, SIMON, BEHOLD, SATAN HATH DESIRED TO HAVE YOU, THAT HE MAY SIFT YOU AS WHEAT: BUT I HAVE PRAYED FOR THEE, THAT THY FAITH (or trust) FAIL NOT: AND WHEN THOU ART CONVERTED, STRENGTHEN THY BRETHREN. AND HE SAID UNTO HIM, LORD, I AM READY TO GO WITH THEE, BOTH INTO PRISON, AND TO DEATH. AND HE SAID, I TELL THEE, PETER, THE COCK SHALL NOT CROW THIS DAY, BEFORE THAT THOU SHALT THRICE DENY THAT THOU KNOWEST ME. Fear is one thing that Satan uses to try and cause a person’s faith to fail. All born again Christians will be tested to see if their faith is genuine. These tests can include severe persecutions, beatings, jail, and even death. As a Christian goes through these, and his heart is right, he can identify more and more with what Jesus had to go through. Many saints are suffering greatly for their faith throughout the world, even now. If a person’s mind is set on Jesus and love, his faith should never fail, but if his mind is set on other things, his faith may indeed become shipwrecked for it is written:
1 Tim 1:18–19–…WAR A GOOD WARFARE (fight the good fight); HOLDING (on to) FAITH (or trust), AND A GOOD CONSCIENCE. SOME HAVE REJECTED THESE AND SO HAVE SHIPWRECKED THEIR FAITH (or trust)–NIV. Note: some have rejected a good warfare. Some have rejected fighting the good fight. Some have rejected their faith. Some have rejected a good conscience. The faith of some have become wrecked.
Pv 3:5–7–TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL THINE HEART; AND LEAN NOT UNTO THINE OWN UNDERSTANDING. IN ALL THY WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM, AND HE SHALL DIRECT THY PATHS. BE NOT WISE IN THINE OWN EYES: FEAR THE LORD, AND DEPART FROM EVIL.
The battle takes place in our heart and in our mind–ref Col 1:2. 2 Pe 1:13–WHEREFORE GIRD UP THE LOINS OF YOUR MIND, BE SOBER, AND HOPE TO THE END FOR THE GRACE THAT IS TO BE BROUGHT UNTO YOU AT THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST, for the Scriptures tell us, that if we be JOINT HEIRS WITH CHRIST, we can expect to SUFFER WITH HIM, THAT WE MAY BE ALSO GLORIFIED TOGETHER. Ro 8:17–18–FOR I RECKON THAT THE SUFFERINGS OF THIS PRESENT TIME ARE NOT WORTHY TO BE COMPARED WITH THE GLORY WHICH SHALL BE REVEALED IN US. Ja 5:10–TAKE, MY BRETHREN, THE PROPHETS, WHO HAVE SPOKEN IN THE NAME OF THE LORD, FOR AN EXAMPLE OF SUFFERING AFFLICTION, AND OF PATIENCE.
1 Pe 2:19–21–FOR…IF A MAN FOR CONSCIENCE TOWARD GOD ENDURE GRIEF, SUFFERING WRONGFULLY. YE SHALL TAKE IT PATIENTLY? …IF, WHEN YE DO WELL, AND SUFFER FOR IT, YE TAKE IT PATIENTLY, THIS IS ACCEPTABLE WITH GOD. FOR EVEN HEREUNTO WERE YE CALLED: BECAUSE CHRIST ALSO SUFFERED FOR US, LEAVING US AN EXAMPLE, THAT YE SHOULD FOLLOW HIS STEPS:
So why does such hardships, persecutions and temptations come? 1 Pe 1:7–THESE HAVE COME SO THAT YOUR FAITH (or trust) (which is)…OF GREATER WORTH THAN GOLD,…MAY BE PROVED GENUINE AND MAY RESULT IN PRAISE, GLORY AND HONOR WHEN JESUS CHRIST IS REVEALED. Each person’s faith will be tested, or tried as it is written: 1 Pe 1:7–…YOUR FAITH (or trust),…TRIED WITH FIRE.

We are to hold onto our faith, trust in God, love God, and one another, and indeed: 1 Cor 12:26–AND WHETHER ONE MEMBER SUFFER, ALL THE MEMBERS SUFFER WITH IT.
Thus, even when we are confronted with hardships, sickness, great persecutions, people falsely accusing us, beatings, ridicule, even jail or even death, we can identify with Jesus and what He went through. Thus even when multitudes of Christians will face having their head cut off during the tribulation, they must hold on to their faith, and their testimony and keep their mind stayed on Jesus–ref Isa 26:3. For indeed, we need to be warned that if our mind is on anything else, other than Jesus, our faith could become shipwrecked and we may perish from the way–ref Isa 26:3.
God’s will is this: Col 2:5–I (am) BEHOLDING (the)…STEDFASTNESS OF YOUR FAITH (or trust) IN CHRIST. One of the greatest griefs a Christian can have is to know that the tempter successfully tempted a fellow Christian in some way and the fellow Christian fell away, and all their labor was in vain–ref 1 Thes 3:5. Beware of Satan’s devices as he works through your emotions and in your mind. Satan knows the things that be of men. A Christian needs to trust in Jesus through all circumstances, including those they do not understand. And for those that do not let spiritual darkness overtake them, there should be a crown of life waiting–ref Ja 1:12.
1 Tim 4:1–NOW THE SPIRIT SPEAKETH EXPRESSLY, THAT IN THE LATTER TIMES SOME SHALL DEPART FROM THE FAITH (or trust), GIVING HEED TO…DOCTRINES OF DEVILS.
2 Tim 2:17,18–AND THEIR WORD WILL EAT AS DOTH A CANKER: OF WHOM IS HYMENAEUS AND PHILETUS; WHO CONCERNING THE TRUTH HAVE ERRED,…AND OVERTHROW THE FAITH (or trust) OF SOME. Faith can fail. Satan uses error to replace truth, and those with a wayside heart, a stony heart, a thorny heart, or a heart that is like a wave go astray. Then when they are corrected by someone God sends, they harden themselves as their deceived heart is positive that they are correct and the person correcting them is wrong. Only when they stand before God in the judgment do they realize that they made the biggest mistake of their life, and now eternity in the lake of fire waits for them in a fire that shall never be quenched. They shall be tormented forever and ever. Oh, that people somehow, some way would heed correction from their born again minister or elder as a little child, but it is written Pv 26:11–12–AS A DOG RETURNETH TO HIS VOMIT, SO A FOOL RETURNETH TO HIS FOLLY. SEEST THOU A MAN WISE IN HIS OWN CONCEIT? THERE IS MORE HOPE OF A FOOL THAN OF HIM. 2 Pe 2:22–BUT IT IS HAPPENED UNTO THEM ACCORDING TO THE TRUE PROVERB, THE DOG IS TURNED TO HIS OWN VOMIT AGAIN; AND THE SOW THAT WAS WASHED TO HER WALLOWING IN THE MIRE.
For those that are liars, evil, slow bellies (or lazy gluttons), we are to correct them by rebuking…THEM SHARPLY, THAT THEY MAY BE SOUND IN THE FAITH–Titus 1:13,14.

56—Faith–If faith fails, a person may not be spared
Warning: Broken off because of unbelief
Warning: Be not highminded (or prideful)
Warning: Fear God, fear because can be cut off
Warning: Continue in the faith
Warning: Don’t be moved away from the Gospel
Warning: Not providing for his own is denying the faith
Warning: Don’t turn to vain jangling
Warning: Can have damnation if cast off first faith
Warning: Money causes some to err from the faith
Warning: Avoid babblings, false science
Warning: False teaching can eat at you like a canker, slowly destroying you
I have fought a good fight
Warning: Do not respect persons
Warning: Regarding being rich Warning:
Ro 11:20–WELL; BECAUSE OF UNBELIEF THEY WERE BROKEN OFF, AND THOU STANDEST BY FAITH (or trust). BE NOT HIGHMINDED, BUT FEAR: FOR IF GOD SPARED NOT THE NATURAL BRANCHES, TAKE HEED LEST HE ALSO SPARE NOT THEE. Even though they were saved, Paul was warning them that they might not be spared if they go into unbelief.

1 Pe 1:3–6.GOD…HATH BEGOTTEN US…WHO ARE KEPT BY THE POWER OF GOD THROUGH FAITH (or trust) UNTO SALVATION. A Christian is kept through faith unto salvation. Should a Christian lose their faith as a result of one of Satan's many schemes, then they are not kept through faith. They are not standing by faith. They are not continuing in faith. They are not walking by faith. They are not living by faith.

Col 1:22–23–TO PRESENT YOU HOLY AND UNBLAMEABLE AND UNREPROVEABLE IN HIS SIGHT: IF YE CONTINUE IN THE FAITH (or trust) GROUNDED AND SETTLED, AND BE NOT MOVED AWAY FROM THE HOPE OF THE GOSPEL.
If a person continues in the faith, and is not moved from the hope of the Gospel–then they will be holy and unblameable. If a person does not continue in the faith, but does turn from the hope of the Gospel, then they will not be holy and unblameable.

1 Tim 5:8–BUT IF ANY PROVIDE NOT FOR HIS OWN, AND SPECIALLY FOR THOSE OF HIS OWN HOUSE, HE HATH DENIED THE FAITH, AND IS WORSE THAN AN INFIDEL.

1 Tim 1:4–6–.THE END OF THE COMMANDMENT IS CHARITY (or love) OUT OF A PURE HEART,…A GOOD CONSCIENCE, AND OF FAITH (or trust). …SOME…HAVE TURNED ASIDE UNTO VAIN JANGLING.

1 Tim 5:11–12–BUT THE YOUNGER WIDOWS…HAVING DAMNATION, BECAUSE THEY HAVE CAST OFF THEIR FIRST FAITH (or trust).

1 Tim 6:10–FOR THE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL: WHICH WHILE SOME COVETED AFTER, THEY HAVE ERRED FROM THE FAITH (or trust), AND PIERCED THEMSELVES THROUGH WITH MANY SORROWS.

1 Tim 6:20–21–AVOIDING PROFANE AND VAIN BABBLINGS, AND OPPOSITIONS OF SCIENCE FALSELY SO CALLED: WHICH SOME PROFESSING HAVE ERRED CONCERNING THE FAITH (or trust).

2 Tim 2:17,18–AND THEIR WORD WILL EAT AS DOTH A CANKER: OF WHOM IS HYMENAEUS AND PHILETUS; WHO CONCERNING THE TRUTH HAVE ERRED,…AND OVERTHROW THE FAITH (or trust) OF SOME. Faith can fail.
2 Tim 4:7–8–I HAVE FOUGHT A GOOD FIGHT, I HAVE FINISHED MY COURSE, I HAVE KEPT THE FAITH: HENCEFORTH THERE IS LAID UP FOR ME A CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, WHICH THE LORD, THE RIGHTEOUS JUDGE, SHALL GIVE ME AT THAT DAY: AND NOT TO ME ONLY, BUT UNTO ALL THEM ALSO THAT LOVE HIS APPEARING.
For those that call upon Jesus Christ in faith, there is a fight to be fought. There is a course that God lays out to be followed. There is faith (or trust) that needs to be kept. Many are called, but few are chosen. Many hear God’s Word, but fall by the wayside. Many begin the race, but then fall away. They are choked. They are washed, but then go back to the mud. They have clean escaped, but then go back into bondage. They get into the safety of the ship, but then jump overboard and drown. They repent, but then repent of their repentance–ref 2 Cor 7:10. Satan uses the cares of this world, the lusts of other things, the pleasures of this life, the deceitfulness of riches, persecutions, sufferings, and our emotions including anger, fear, past hurts, and even love. Some love this present world, pleasures, or other things more than God. They love the creation more than the creator. They fall away. Satan uses all manner of deceptions to tempt us. Satan even creates works for us that look like they are of God, but they are deceptions which lead us astray. The world is going downhill and hell is enlarging itself–ref Isa 5:14, but in Christ Jesus we need to go up hill to New Jerusalem–ref Rev 21:2, Heb 11:10. To go upstream against the current is difficult, but as long we keep our faith in Jesus and our eyes upon Him, we can finish and win the race. As the world plunges downward at an ever increasing rate, the fight we have to fight becomes even more difficult. Yet, where sin abounds, grace much more abounds–ref Ro 5:20. Will your name be found in the Lambs Book of Life at the judgment? Will you hear the words, “WELL DONE THOU GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT?” Examine yourself by God’s Word to see if you are in the Faith before it is too late. Seek Godly counsel and correction from your God fearing minister, whose faith, fruits, testimony, and works testify he is following God.

Ja 2:1–MY BRETHREN, HAVE NOT THE FAITH (or trust) OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST,. WITH RESPECT OF PERSONS. DON’T SHOW FAVORITUSM–NIV. Do not be partial–Ref NKJ.

Ja 2:5–HEARKEN, MY BELOVED BRETHREN, HATH NOT GOD CHOSEN THE POOR OF THIS WORLD RICH IN FAITH (or trust), AND HEIRS OF THE KINGDOM WHICH HE HATH PROMISED TO THEM THAT LOVE HIM?. Some seek to be rich. The Bible warns that the ones God has chosen are the poor of this world. It is harder for a rich man to enter heaven than a camel going through the eye of a needle–ref Mt 19:23,24. If you are seeking riches, how can you be seeking God? Pv 28:11–THE RICH MAN IS WISE IN HIS OWN CONCEIT.

57—Faith–The word and then a warning (Associated in verses using the word trust)
2 Sam 22:31–GOD, HIS WAY IS PERFECT; THE WORD OF THE LORD IS TRIED (or flawless or proven):
Ps 18:30–THE WORD OF THE LORD IS TRIED (or flawless or proven).
Ps 56:4–I WILL PRAISE HIS WORD.
Ps 119:42–I TRUST (or have faith) IN THY WORD.
Pv 30:5–EVERY WORD OF GOD IS PURE: HE IS A SHIELD UNTO THEM THAT PUT THEIR TRUST (or have faith) IN HIM. This ought to be every Christian’s attitude toward God’s Word. Remember, Jesus is the Word.
Isa 30:12, 13, 15, 16–WHEREFORE THUS SAITH THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL, BECAUSE YE DESPISE THIS WORD, AND TRUST IN OPPRESSION AND PERVERSENESS, AND STAY THEREON: THEREFORE THIS INIQUITY SHALL BE TO YOU AS A BREACH READY TO FALL,…FOR THUS SAITH THE LORD GOD, THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL; IN RETURNING AND REST SHALL YE BE SAVED; IN QUIETNESS AND IN CONFIDENCE SHALL BE YOUR STRENGTH: AND YE WOULD NOT. BUT YE SAID, NO; FOR WE WILL FLEE UPON HORSES; THEREFORE SHALL YE FLEE: AND, WE WILL RIDE UPON THE SWIFT; THEREFORE SHALL THEY THAT PURSUE YOU BE SWIFT.

58—Faith–Some will exhort you to continue in the faith
Acts 14:21–22–THEY…EXHORTING (the souls of the disciples) TO CONTINUE IN THE FAITH, AND THAT WE MUST THROUGH MUCH TRIBULATION ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
God’s will is this. 1 Thes 1:8–IN EVERY PLACE YOUR FAITH (or trust) TO GOD…IS SPREAD ABROAD; SO THAT WE NEED NOT TO SPEAK ANY THING.

59—Faith–Persecutions and hardships because of your faith
The devil uses afflictions (or trials or testings) to try and devour the Christian, as it is written: 1 Pe 5:8–9–THE DEVIL,…SEEKING WHOM HE MAY DEVOUR: WHOM RESIST STEDFAST IN THE FAITH (or trust), KNOWING THAT THE SAME AFFLICTIONS (or trials or testings) ARE ACCOMPLISHED IN YOUR BRETHREN THAT ARE IN THE WORLD.
1 Tim 4:10–THEREFORE WE…SUFFER REPROACH (or suffer scorn or rebuke or shame or contend with an adversary), BECAUSE WE TRUST (or have faith) IN THE LIVING GOD.
1 Thes 3:2–7,9,10–WE…SENT TIMOTHEUS, OUR BROTHER, AND MINISTER OF GOD,…TO ESTABLISH (or strengthen) YOU, AND TO COMFORT (or encourage) YOU CONCERNING YOUR FAITH (or trust). THAT NO MAN SHOULD BE MOVED (or unsettled or shaken) BY THESE AFFLICTIONS (or trials, or testings): FOR…WE ARE APPOINTED (or destined) THEREUNTO. WE TOLD YOU…THAT WE SHOULD SUFFER TRIBULATION (or be persecuted); EVEN AS IT CAME TO PASS, AND YE KNOW. FOR THIS (reason),…I SENT TO (find out about) YOUR FAITH (or trust). (I was afraid that in some way) THE TEMPTER (which is the devil) HAVE TEMPTED YOU, AND OUR LABOUR (or efforts might) BE IN VAIN. BUT…TIMOTHEUS…BROUGHT US GOOD (news) OF YOUR FAITH (or trust) AND CHARITY (or love), AND THAT YE HAVE GOOD REMEMBRANCE OF US ALWAYS, DESIRING GREATLY TO SEE US, AS WE ALSO TO SEE YOU: THEREFORE, BRETHREN, WE WERE COMFORTED (or encouraged) OVER YOU IN ALL OUR AFFLICTION AND DISTRESS BY YOUR FAITH (or trust). …(We thank God…because of you). …NIGHT AND DAY PRAYING EXCEEDINGLY THAT WE MIGHT SEE YOUR FACE, AND MIGHT PERFECT (or supply) THAT WHICH IS LACKING IN YOUR FAITH (or trust) (KJV, NIV)?

All that follow Jesus in truth, not just in their words, shall go through various kinds of persecutions, sufferings, difficulties, and hardships. Some are to test our faith. Some are to help us grow. Some brought on by Satan are to try to cause us to turn from Jesus and blame God. In some cases, those whose faith is weak shall fall. Their thoughts will turn, from love to negative, toward the brethren. Yet others, whose hearts contain good soil, will grow in their faith and love for God and the brethren, no matter what they are called to go through, even losing all they have, their reputations, friends, and going through beatings, jail, and death.
True ministers of God may become very troubled when their fellow soldiers in Christ are going through great difficulties. They want to know if their fellow workers still trust in Jesus Christ and have love for the brethren. They want to know if they are still standing or have fallen. What joy and comfort it is to hear they are still standing firm, but what great hurt, agony, and grief it is when they hear some have fallen by the wayside and turned against them.
It is not uncommon that when a person’s faith decreases, their love for the brethren also decreases. It is not uncommon that when a person’s faith decreases, their love for a brother in Christ that has corrected them also decreases. It is not uncommon that when a person’s faith decreases, they begin to have false, accusing thoughts and even anger toward some brethren that may have loved them the most. These false accusing thoughts become so real to them that if they took a lie detector test, it would show they believe these wrong thoughts. (Note–there is no lie detector that is totally accurate.) It is also true that when a person’s faith fails, they might become much worse off than before they had faith. It is written, in 2 Pe 2:20–22–FOR IF AFTER THEY HAVE ESCAPED THE POLLUTIONS OF THE WORLD THROUGH…JESUS CHRIST, THEY ARE AGAIN ENTANGLED THEREIN, AND OVERCOME, THE LATTER END IS WORSE WITH THEM THAN THE BEGINNING. FOR IT HAD BEEN BETTER FOR THEM NOT TO HAVE KNOWN THE WAY OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, THAN, AFTER THEY HAVE KNOWN IT, TO TURN FROM THE HOLY COMMANDMENT… BUT IT IS HAPPENED UNTO THEM ACCORDING TO THE TRUE PROVERB, THE DOG IS TURNED TO HIS OWN VOMIT AGAIN; AND THE SOW THAT WAS WASHED TO HER WALLOWING IN THE MIRE. If a person becomes saved through Jesus Christ, but is then overcome through Satan’s devices, he is worse off than he was originally. It is common that such a person will sin even more. His thoughts may be even more evil. His hate, anger, and accusations may be increased toward the brethren. The deceit and wickedness in his heart (ref Jere 18:10) may be increased. The softness he had for correction from God’s Word in the beginning usually disappears. The following verses apply, some directly, some indirectly: Mt 9:16; 12:43–45; Mk 2:21; Lk 11:24–26; Jn 5:14; 2 Tim 3:13,14; 2 Pe 2:20–22. It is also common that whatever sin they did before, they will now do even more. However they were deceived before, they may now be more gullible and more easily deceived; as it is written, deceiving and being deceived–ref 2 Tim 3:13.
In this lukewarm generation, there are many that say they follow Christ. Some even try to enter heaven by doing good works, but their attitude has never gone through a conversion from the old man to the new man. They have never been emptied from vessel to vessel, therefore their taste and scent remains and they do not change–ref Jere 48:11. They may act one way around the brethren, but another way when they are around unbelievers. They sometimes put on a false face. They pretend to be in Christ, but in reality they are deceitful. They say one thing, but do another. They are like a Hindu woman that puts the red dot on her forehead when her husband is around so she won’t get persecuted, but then takes it off when around other Christians.
We all need to examine ourselves by God’s Word to see if we be in the faith. The more dishonest a person’s heart is, the more dishonest a person will be in examining them self. If a person’s heart has little good soil, then it becomes obvious when their minister tries to correct them with God’s Word. The more blind a person is, the less they can see. The further a person is from the light, the cleaner their dirty garments look. Neither the blind man or the person that walks in darkness can see. A person that is quick to justify sin and doing wrong, is a person that is not easily corrected. The meek and humble can usually receive correction and repent. The person that is confident in his own ways, how can he truthfully be confident in God?
What works in you? Do you walk according to this world? It is Satan which works in the children of disobedience–ref Eph 2:2.
However if a person walks with Jesus, then it is God’s power that is working in us–ref Eph 3:20. If you do His good pleasure then God should be working in you–ref Phili 2:13. If you labour and strive according to His working, then it should be God working in you–ref Col 1:29.
If unbelievers that know you, don’t see that you are different from them and the world because of following Jesus, then it would appear you are indeed not following Jesus. There is no such thing as a two sided “Christian”, or one that rides the fence. A person is either in Christ or they are not. They either have the Holy Spirit or they do not. If God has called a person, then they can conform to the image of Christ through His power. They could inherit eternal life, but most don’t want to change. One problem is that while most people want to go to heaven, they are not willing to let God change them. They are stubborn, rebellious, and resist change. They often have anger stored up inside. Then they deceive themselves, put Christian garments on the outside, but inside they willfully continue to resist God. They are as the Pharisees. They look good and clean on the outside, but inside they are spiritually dead. They sometimes convince themselves that they cannot change. They willingly choose to believe the lying thoughts Satan has put in their minds. They willingly choose to not believe God’s Word as it applies to them. They can sometimes see the dirt on other people’s clothes, but not their own.

60—Faith, temptations, and patience
Ja 1:2–4…BRETHREN, COUNT IT ALL JOY WHEN YE FALL INTO (MANY KINDS (of) TEMPTATIONS (or trials); KNOWING THIS, THAT THE (TESTING) OF YOUR FAITH (or trust) (DEVELOPS) PATIENCE (or perseverance). BUT LET PATIENCE (or perseverance) (FINISH ITS) WORK, THAT YE MAY BE PERFECT AND ENTIRE (or mature and complete), WANTING NOTHING.
Note: Temptations and trials tests your faith which helps you become more like Jesus.
As a weight lifter grows stronger through much struggle and practice, so the born again Christian grows stronger in going through things like Jesus also went through. Jesus was tempted in all points as we are, yet without sin–ref Heb 4:15.
When a person says “yes” to Jesus, he also says yes to going through many difficult situations and struggles that help mold him to become more like Jesus. A Christian needs to grow in faith and learn to trust in Christ. A Christian that fights against what God is trying to do in their life is a Christian that may fall and perish. A Christian's thinking needs to be reprogrammed from the ways and desires of the world to the ways of God. The Christian’s heart and trust in Jesus will be tested over and over. During the tribulation, all should have to make a choice. That choice is between following the Antichrist or Jesus. To follow Jesus during the tribulation may result in death by being beheaded. Many, when faced with that test, will forsake Jesus, even as many now when faced with various temptations also forsake Jesus. And when a person forsakes Jesus, darkness sets into their thinking, and they usually convince themselves that this is not what they have done.
As a person that is a soldier, or a person that runs a race, or a person that lifts weights must train and go through many struggles to succeed, so it is with a Christian. When the war is over, when the race is finished, when the weightlifting competition is done, there are scars. But there is joy, happiness, and no more tears for so shall we ever be with the Lord. But now there are battles to be fought. Our enemy the devil wants our soul. We must fight the good fight of faith, and Jesus will be with us all the way. Draw closer to God, and He will draw closer to you. Pull away from God, and the results can be disastrous. God’s ways are equal.
Many churches are filled with people that said yes to Jesus, but they have never been conformed to the image of Christ. Only a few will allow the potter (which is God) to remold the clay (which is us).

1 Pe 1:6–NOW.YE ARE IN HEAVINESS THROUGH MANIFOLD TEMPTATIONS. NOW FOR A LITTLE WHILE YOU MAY HAVE HAD TO SUFFER (or experience) GRIEF IN ALL KINDS OF TRIALS–NIV. YOU HAVE BEEN GRIEVED BY VARIOUS TRIALS–NKJ
1 Pe 1:7–EVEN GOLD IS TESTED FOR GENUINENESS BY FIRE. THE PURPOSE OF THESE TRIALS (or testings) IS SO THAT YOUR TRUSTS (or faiths) GENUINENESS…(might be found–KJV) (or) WILL BE JUDGED WORTHY OF PRAISE, GLORY AND HONOR–JNT. Each person’s faith (or trust) will be tested through many different tests. Some of these tests can be very difficult. Some can take a person to the brink of breaking, as it is written: Lk 8:13–THEY ON THE ROCK ARE THEY, WHICH,…FOR A WHILE BELIEVE, AND IN TIME OF TEMPTATION FALL AWAY. Each person's faith (or trust) will be tried or tested with fire as it is written: 1 Pe 1:7–…YOUR FAITH (or trust),…TRIED WITH FIRE. Fire is used for refining. It can take out the impurities.
When a forest fire occurs, it appears to destroy everything in its path. All appears to die. The stubble, the brush, the thorny vines, the old rotten leaves on the ground, and even some trash are all burned up. BUT THEN, after a period of time, new trees begin to come forth. A new, lush, beautiful forest appears. So it is with a person that says yes to Jesus. Their old nature must be destroyed. A new, transformed nature needs to come forth. The old nature is resistant to change. It is resistant to correction. It is self–centered. It is prideful and wants the better things of this life. The old nature does not think like Jesus. The old nature finds fault with others. It accuses others. It blames others. It does not love with an unconditional love, and it does not easily forgive. It does not totally and completely trust in Jesus through the most difficult situations, which can include great persecutions, hardships, medical problems, loss of all friends, loss of one’s reputation and even death.
The fire must destroy the old nature. Those with a good or good and honest heart will indeed be changed. Their old nature will be destroyed. Worldly thinking will be replaced with Godly thinking. Hardness to change becomes transformed. Hatred for correction will start to love correction. Pride becomes humility. Self–centeredness changes to being centered on Christ. Accusing, blaming others, finding fault with others, and unforgiveness are all burned up. A totally new outlook begins to set in. Over a period of time, the worldly mind becomes the mind of Christ. Trusting in oneself dies, and trusting in Jesus takes its place. If you are a Christian, you can expect that there is a day coming, when the fire will begin to destroy your old nature. It can be very, very painful. It can be very scary. It can hurt. It can leave a person laying on the ground, in great pain, even dying, with no hope of any kind for anything. When this happens to a person, then Jesus can cause the new trees to begin to grow. So it is with people that seek Jesus. The old must die. The new must come forth. A person must put off the old, and put on the new. Some will indeed be transformed into a new lump, a new tree, a new creature. Others will not. The new birth happens in a moment of time, but the complete transformation of a person from the old way of thinking and acting, to thinking and acting like Christ in all situations is a process.

Lk 13:6–9–(JESUS) SPAKE…THIS PARABLE; A CERTAIN MAN HAD A FIG TREE PLANTED IN HIS VINEYARD; AND HE CAME AND SOUGHT FRUIT THEREON, AND FOUND NONE. THEN SAID HE UNTO THE DRESSER OF HIS VINEYARD, BEHOLD, THESE THREE YEARS I COME SEEKING FRUIT ON THIS FIG TREE, AND FIND NONE: CUT IT DOWN; WHY CUMBERETH IT THE GROUND? AND HE…SAID UNTO HIM, LORD, LET IT ALONE THIS YEAR ALSO, TILL I SHALL DIG ABOUT IT, AND DUNG IT: AND IF IT BEAR FRUIT, WELL: AND IF NOT, THEN AFTER THAT THOU SHALT CUT IT DOWN. Are you bring forth the fruits of the Spirit in your actions and thinking? How long has God been trying to change you, but you will not change?

    Note the Word of God:
Acts 20:19–Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with MANY TEARS, AND TEMPTATIONS.
1 Pe 1:6–Now’ye are in heaviness (or grief) through (various) TEMPTATIONS.
Ja 1:2…Count it all joy when ye fall into (various kinds of) TEMPTATIONS. The temptations or testings can become so severe that we may cry and cry. We may be in great grief. We may be fearful and in great agony. Yet, the reason we are to count it all joy is because the testing of one’s faith through temptations, teaches God’s children to work or learn or develop patience or perseverance. This helps them to become mature and complete or perfect in their walk with Jesus, wanting nothing. We may say it helps God’s children to learn to deny themselves and yet be joyful. This is a hard lesson to learn in a materialistic world that is full of pleasures and comforts. Yet is something that all of God’s children need to learn.

    Advice:
Heb 3:8–Harden not your hearts,…in the day of TEMPTATION. In other words, don’t turn from God, but turn to God by trusting in Him and Him alone as various temptations and problems confront you.

    Rewards:
Ja 1:12–Blessed is the man that endureth TEMPTATION: for when he is tried (or tested), he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. Regretfully, not all will endure the temptations that they are called to go through to prove their faith genuine. Some will fall. Their faith will fail.

    Promise and hope:
Rev 3:10–Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the HOUR OF TEMPTATION, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Because a follower of Jesus has kept God’s Word, God will keep him from the tribulation which shall come upon all the world.

    Hope:
1 Cor 10:13–There hath no TEMPTATION taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be TEMPTED above that ye are able; but will with the TEMPTATION also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear (or endure) it. There are times when God does not provide a way out, but God does give us the strength in some way to endure whatever we are going through, yet at times it seems that we almost do reach our breaking point. Case–in–point: Many saints being killed for their faith in Jesus Christ. During the tribulation many saints being tortured and beheaded. Even now, many saints throughout the world are going through unspeakable things such as prison, horrible living conditions, pain, slander and false accusings because they trust in Jesus Christ. God does give His people the strength to endure such things. Great will be their reward in heaven.
2 Pe 2:9–The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of TEMPTATIONS, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.

61—Faith–Suffering for the faith and fear, plus judgment for the wicked
1 Pe 3:14, 17–IF YOU SHOULD SUFFER FOR WHAT IS RIGHT, YOU ARE BLESSED. “DO NOT FEAR WHAT THEY FEAR;” DO NOT BE FRIGHTENED. BUT IN YOUR HEARTS SET APART CHRIST AS LORD. …IT IS BETTER, IF IT IS GOD’S WILL, TO SUFFER FOR DOING GOOD THAN FOR DOING EVIL (NIV)
2 Cor 1:8–FOR WE WOULD NOT, BRETHREN, HAVE YOU IGNORANT OF OUR TROUBLE (or hardships) WHICH CAME TO US IN ASIA (We suffered), …WE WERE PRESSED (or burdened) OUT OF MEASURE (we were under great pressure), ABOVE STRENGTH (far beyond our ability to endure), INSOMUCH THAT WE DESPAIRED EVEN OF LIFE.
Our strength comes from faith. Paul’s faith was strong and beyond question. Yet he himself indicated that what he was going through was so bad, that it was beyond his ability to endure it. He said, IN OUR HEARTS WE FELT THE SENTENCE OF DEATH. (We had the sentence of death…–NKJ). BUT THIS HAPPENED THAT WE MIGHT NOT RELY (or trust) ON OURSELVES BUT ON GOD, WHO RAISES THE DEAD–2 Cor 1:9.
2 Cor 12:9–AND HE (God) SAID UNTO ME, MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR THEE: FOR MY STRENGTH IS MADE PERFECT IN WEAKNESS. MOST GLADLY THEREFORE WILL I RATHER GLORY IN MY INFIRMITIES, THAT THE POWER OF CHRIST MAY REST UPON ME.
Phili 1:27–29–We are to strive TOGETHER FOR THE FAITH (or trust) OF THE GOSPEL. AND IN NOTHING TERRIFIED (or frightened) BY YOUR ADVERSARIES (by those who oppose you): THIS IS A SIGN TO THEM (of perdition, or destruction) or THAT THEY WILL BE DESTROYED, BUT TO YOU OF SALVATION, AND THAT OF GOD. FOR UNTO YOU IT (has been granted) IN THE BEHALF OF CHRIST, NOT ONLY TO BELIEVE ON HIM, BUT ALSO TO SUFFER FOR HIS SAKE. Phili 1:30–YOU ARE GOING THROUGH THE SAME STRUGGLE YOU SAW I HAD, AND…THAT I STILL HAVE.
We go through struggles so BY FAITH (or trust).I MAY KNOW HIM, AND THE POWER OF HIS RESURRECTION, AND THE FELLOWSHIP OF HIS SUFFERINGS, BEING MADE CONFORMABLE UNTO HIS DEATH. Note the words “being made conformable to His ”. We need to learn to be conformed to the image of Jesus–Ro 8:29. We need to learn obedience through sufferings–ref Heb 5:8. We need to put off the old man. We need to put on the new man which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him–Col 3:10. In other words we need to change. Without this change taking place in our life, there is no salvation–ref Mt 18:3, Jn 3:3. Thus, we have to go through many things, many struggles, persecutions, accusations, temptations, and even jail and death in some cases, which “in effect” should enable us to be more conformed to the image of Christ. As we go through many like things that Jesus and the saints before us have gone through, we should understand more fully the sufferings of Christ. It is written:
FOR THY SAKE WE ARE KILLED ALL THE DAY LONG; WE ARE ACCOUNTED AS SHEEP FOR THE SLAUGHTER–Ro 8:36 and Ps 44:22. If a person would make up a list of all the times Paul was accused, had to go before courts or hearings, was arrested and put in jail, was beaten, and had to endure all manner of hardships and persecutions, indeed the list would be very great. Today’s lukewarm (and everything is going to be wonderful if you receive Jesus type of) preaching does not prepare the Christian for what lies ahead as they follow Christ. The Bible does prepare a person–so read it. It is written
Mt 5:11–12–BLESSED ARE YE, WHEN MEN SHALL REVILE YOU, AND PERSECUTE YOU, AND SHALL SAY ALL MANNER OF EVIL AGAINST YOU FALSELY, FOR MY SAKE. REJOICE, AND BE EXCEEDING GLAD: FOR GREAT IS YOUR REWARD IN HEAVEN: FOR SO PERSECUTED THEY THE PROPHETS WHICH WERE BEFORE YOU. Note the words–MEN…SHALL SAY ALL MANNER OF EVIL AGAINST YOU FALSELY. Those that follow Jesus can expect children and adults, men and women, the police and courts, common people as well as the rich and famous to accuse them of every evil and wicked thing imaginable–even all types of evil. God’s Word put it this way: Ps 35:11,12,15–FALSE WITNESSES DID RISE UP; THEY LAID TO MY CHARGE THINGS THAT I KNEW NOT. THEY REWARDED ME EVIL FOR GOOD. IN MINE ADVERSITY THEY REJOICED, AND GATHERED THEMSELVES TOGETHER:…AGAINST ME, AND I KNEW IT NOT; THEY DID TEAR ME, AND CEASED NOT:…THEY GNASHED UPON ME WITH THEIR TEETH.
Jn 15:18–21–IF THE WORLD HATE YOU, YE KNOW THAT IT HATED ME BEFORE IT HATED YOU. …I HAVE CHOSEN YOU OUT OF THE WORLD, THEREFORE THE WORLD HATETH YOU. REMEMBER…IF THEY HAVE PERSECUTED ME, THEY WILL ALSO PERSECUTE YOU. …ALL THESE THINGS WILL THEY DO UNTO YOU…BECAUSE THEY KNOW NOT HIM THAT SENT ME. Jn 15:25–(It) IS WRITTEN IN THEIR LAW, THEY HATED ME WITHOUT A CAUSE. The unbelievers do not fear God. They do not hate every evil way as the born–again Christian does. Unbelievers lying and giving false testimony against true Christians in the Bible is common. It was common then and it is common now. As the unbelievers gathered together and discussed how they might stop Jesus, so they also do it to those that follow Jesus today. Indeed, Jn 13:18–Jesus said: HE THAT EATETH BREAD WITH ME HATH LIFTED UP HIS HEEL AGAINST ME. Because of people’s hatred toward God’s Word and Jesus, children shall rise up against their parents, and the parents against the children. Friends shall betray friends to death. Indeed, we are nearing the time when men’s thoughts will be only evil continually–ref Gen 6:5, Mt 24:37; and they that kill you will think they are doing God a service–ref Jn 16:2. Paul goes on to say in 2 Thes 3:1,2–WE PRAY…THAT WE MAY BE DELIVERED FROM UNREASONABLE AND WICKED MEN: FOR ALL MEN HAVE NOT FAITH (or trust).

So what shall be the end of those that trouble you? 2 Thes 1:4–6…WE…GLORY…FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND FAITH (or trust) IN ALL YOUR PERSECUTIONS…THAT YE ENDURE. PERSECUTIONS AND TRIBULATIONS…IS A…TOKEN OF THE RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT OF GOD, THAT YE MAY BE COUNTED WORTHY OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD, FOR WHICH YE ALSO SUFFER. IT IS A RIGHTEOUS THING WITH GOD TO RECOMPENSE TRIBULATION TO THEM THAT TROUBLE YOU.
Ps 37:10–13–FOR YET A LITTLE WHILE, AND THE WICKED SHALL NOT BE: YEA, THOU SHALT DILIGENTLY CONSIDER HIS PLACE, AND IT SHALL NOT BE. BUT THE MEEK SHALL INHERIT THE EARTH; AND SHALL DELIGHT THEMSELVES IN THE ABUNDANCE OF PEACE. THE WICKED PLOTTETH AGAINST THE JUST, AND GNASHETH UPON HIM WITH HIS TEETH. THE LORD SHALL LAUGH AT HIM: FOR HE SEETH THAT HIS DAY IS COMING.
2 Thes 1:7,8–…THE LORD JESUS SHALL…(take) VENGEANCE ON THEM THAT KNOW NOT GOD,…(they) SHALL BE PUNISHED WITH EVERLASTING DESTRUCTION…

62—Darkness and light
Darkness and Light. The world does not deny itself. People love things that are in this world. They are prideful. They want to be noticed. They want money, things, possessions, security, a good job, sex outside of marriage, and a good spouse. They want to be comfortable. They want their own way. The unbeliever’s universe is usually centered on themselves, their own desires, and goals.
Yet to the true Christian, all these things should mean little or nothing. The true Christian’s universe should be centered on Jesus and HIS desire for their life. Most Christians try to compromise. This may be called lukewarmness. They want the better things of this world coupled with Jesus.
It is not those that name the name of Jesus that are saved, but those that deny self and follow Jesus no matter where it leads–ref Jn 8:12. A person that does not walk in the light will find darkness is at the door–ref Jn 12:35. There is a struggle, a fight, a war, a wrestling match going on in every person's life. It is a struggle between the truth of God’s Word on one side and our emotions, our wrong thinking, and other things on the other side. It is a fight between darkness and light. The kind of a heart we have may determine the outcome. Eph 6:12–FOR WE WRESTLE NOT AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD, BUT AGAINST PRINCIPALITIES, AGAINST POWERS, AGAINST THE RULERS OF THE DARKNESS OF THIS WORLD, AGAINST SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS IN HIGH PLACES.
Jesus came: TO OPEN THEIR EYES, AND TO TURN THEM FROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT, AND FROM THE POWER OF SATAN UNTO GOD, THAT THEY MAY RECEIVE FORGIVENESS OF SINS, AND INHERITANCE AMONG THEM WHICH ARE SANCTIFIED BY FAITH THAT IS IN ME–Acts 26:18. He came to call you out of darkness into his marvellous light–1 Pe 2:9.
The world does not believe on Jesus in deed and in truth. Men love darkness rather than light because what they do is evil–ref Jn 3:19. The Gospel we preach is hid to them that are lost, because the god of this world has blinded their minds–ref 2 Cor 4:3,4. Thus they cannot see. They cannot understand. They cannot hear, even though they think they can. Their hearts are hard, or are like a wayside, or full of stones, or thorny heart. The darkness does not comprehend the light–ref Jn 1:5. The light (or understanding) that the unbeliever or make believe Christian has is really darkness, but the darkness cannot understand this because the darkness has blinded their eyes–1 Jn 2:11. If a person thinks the light (or understanding) in them is really truth, when in fact it is darkness, then the darkness in them is great–ref Mt 6:23. To reach such a person for Jesus is difficult, yet with God all things are possible. Take heed, examine yourself by God’s Word to insure that the light which is in you, be not darkness–ref Lk 11:35. Nearly all people underestimate Satan’s deceptive powers. Do not make this fatal mistake and underestimate the power of darkness to deceive. Do not underestimate your enemy the devil. Do not make underestimate the powers of the darkness for it is written SATAN…DECEIVETH THE WHOLE WORLD–Rev 12:9.
Let us not forget: 1 Jn 2:11–HE THAT HATETH HIS BROTHER IS IN DARKNESS, AND WALKETH IN DARKNESS, AND KNOWETH NOT WHITHER HE GOETH, BECAUSE THAT DARKNESS HATH BLINDED HIS EYES.
Ro 8:37–39–NAY, IN ALL THESE THINGS WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS THROUGH HIM THAT LOVED US. FOR I AM PERSUADED, THAT NEITHER DEATH, NOR LIFE, NOR ANGELS, NOR PRINCIPALITIES, NOR POWERS, NOR THINGS PRESENT, NOR THINGS TO COME, NOR HEIGHT, NOR DEPTH, NOR ANY OTHER CREATURE, SHALL BE ABLE TO SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF GOD, WHICH IS IN CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD.

63—Faith and children
People that have children need the build an island or wall around them in this wicked, worldly generation. Their children will learn the world’s ways in school, around children they know, and about everywhere they go. Children will learn the world’s ways on television, in movies, and on the Internet. If the parent professes Jesus, but doesn't reflect and follow Jesus, but lives like the world and conforms to the world, then their children may have a much more difficult time understanding and conforming to Jesus themselves. It is written: Pv 20:11–EVEN A CHILD IS KNOWN BY HIS DOINGS, WHETHER HIS WORK BE PURE, AND WHETHER IT BE RIGHT. Pv 22:15–FOOLISHNESS IS BOUND IN THE HEART OF A CHILD; BUT THE ROD OF CORRECTION SHALL DRIVE IT FAR FROM HIM. Pv 29:15–THE ROD AND REPROOF GIVE WISDOM: BUT A CHILD LEFT TO HIMSELF BRINGETH HIS MOTHER TO SHAME. Eph 6:1–4–CHILDREN, OBEY YOUR PARENTS IN THE LORD: FOR THIS IS RIGHT. FATHERS, PROVOKE NOT YOUR CHILDREN TO WRATH: BUT BRING THEM UP IN THE NURTURE AND ADMONITION OF THE LORD. If the father is not saved, then this God given responsibility must go to the mother.
Pv 22:6–TRAIN UP A CHILD IN THE WAY HE SHOULD GO (the Biblical way): AND WHEN HE IS OLD, HE WILL NOT DEPART FROM IT. How blessed are those children FROM INFANCY YOU HAVE KNOWN THE HOLY SCRIPTURES, WHICH ARE ABLE TO MAKE YOU WISE FOR SALVATION THROUGH FAITH IN CHRIST JESUS–ref 2 Tim 3:15.

64—Faith–Churches established
Acts 16:5–THE CHURCHES ESTABLISHED IN THE FAITH.

65—Faith–We do not have dominion over your faith
2 Cor 1:24–WE (do not) HAVE DOMINION OVER YOUR FAITH (or trust).

66—Faith is. Scriptures indicating what faith is.
Heb 11:1–NOW FAITH (or trust) IS THE SUBSTANCE OF THINGS HOPED FOR, THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS NOT SEEN.
    Faith is substance.
    Faith is evidence.
    Faith is a basic doctrine
    Faith is a foundation
    Faith is a shield
Biblical faith and love is called a breastplate
    Faith is a law
    Faith is a door
    Faith is righteousness
    Faith is come
    Faith is spoken of
    Faith is counted for righteousness
    Faith could be vain if:
    Faith is increased
Whatsoever is not of faith is sin
Faith is a basic doctrine of God’s Word. It is written: Heb 6:1, 2–…THE PRINCIPLES OF THE DOCTRINE OF CHRIST,…THE FOUNDATION…REPENTANCE FROM DEAD WORKS, AND OF FAITH (or trust) TOWARD GOD, OF THE DOCTRINE OF BAPTISMS, AND OF LAYING ON OF HANDS, AND OF RESURRECTION OF THE DEAD, AND OF ETERNAL JUDGMENT.
Ro 1:7–8–TO ALL THAT BE IN ROME, BELOVED OF GOD, CALLED TO BE SAINTS:…YOUR FAITH (or trust) IS SPOKEN OF THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE WORLD.
Ro 4:5–BUT TO HIM THAT WORKETH NOT, BUT BELIEVETH ON HIM THAT JUSTIFIETH THE UNGODLY, HIS FAITH (or trust) IS COUNTED FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
Ro 14:23–AND HE THAT DOUBTETH IS DAMNED IF HE EAT, BECAUSE HE EATETH NOT OF FAITH (or trust): FOR WHATSOEVER IS NOT OF FAITH (or trust) IS SIN.
1 Cor 15:14–AND IF CHRIST BE NOT RISEN, THEN IS OUR PREACHING VAIN, AND YOUR FAITH (or trust) IS ALSO VAIN.
1 Cor 15:17–AND IF CHRIST BE NOT RAISED, YOUR FAITH (or trust) IS VAIN; YE ARE YET IN YOUR SINS.
2 Cor 10:15–…HAVING HOPE, WHEN YOUR FAITH (or trust) IS INCREASED, THAT WE SHALL BE ENLARGED BY YOU ACCORDING TO OUR RULE ABUNDANTLY.
Gal 3:25–BUT AFTER THAT FAITH (or trust) IS COME, WE ARE NO LONGER UNDER A SCHOOLMASTER.
Ro 3:27–BY THE LAW OF FAITH (or trust). Faith is a law.
Ro 3:27–WHERE IS BOASTING THEN? IT IS EXCLUDED. BY WHAT LAW? OF WORKS? NAY: BUT BY THE LAW OF FAITH. Faith is a law.

Ro 3:31–DO WE THEN MAKE VOID THE LAW THROUGH FAITH (or trust)? Faith is a law.
Ro 4:14–FOR IF THEY WHICH ARE OF THE LAW BE HEIRS, FAITH (or trust) IS MADE VOID, AND THE PROMISE MADE OF NONE EFFECT.
Eph 6:16– ABOVE ALL, TAKING THE SHIELD OF FAITH (or trust). Faith is a shield.

Acts 14:27–THE DOOR OF FAITH UNTO THE GENTILES. Faith is a door

Ro 4:13–THE PROMISE,…WAS…THROUGH…THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF FAITH. We may say that faith is righteousness–ref Ro 9:30, 10:6
Ro 4:13–THE PROMISE,…WAS NOT…THROUGH THE LAW, BUT THROUGH THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF FAITH. Gal 3:12–THE LAW IS NOT OF FAITH.
Heb 10:22–LET US DRAW NEAR WITH A TRUE HEART IN FULL ASSURANCE OF FAITH, HAVING OUR HEARTS SPRINKLED FROM AN EVIL CONSCIENCE. A full assurance comes through faith, but a person needs a true heart. Note the words: an evil conscience.
1 Thes 5:8–(Put) ON THE BREASTPLATE OF FAITH (or trust) AND LOVE. Biblical faith and love combined is called a breastplate. The breastplate if used correctly will help protect the Christian from the onslaught of Satan and his devices. Take away one of these two, and a person is vulnerable.

67—Faith–Teach it
Acts 20:20–21–I…TAUGHT YOU PUBLICLY, …REPENTANCE TOWARD GOD, AND FAITH (or trust) TOWARD OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Acts 26:16–18–I HAVE APPEARED UNTO THEE…TO MAKE THEE A MINISTER…TO OPEN THEIR EYES, AND TO TURN THEM FROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT, AND FROM THE POWER OF SATAN UNTO GOD, THAT THEY MAY RECEIVE FORGIVENESS OF SINS, AND INHERITANCE AMONG THEM WHICH ARE SANCTIFIED BY FAITH (or trust) THAT IS IN ME.
Ro 10:8–THE WORD IS…IN THY MOUTH, AND IN THY HEART:…THE WORD OF FAITH (or trust), WHICH WE PREACH. When we teach about faith, God’s Word tell us plainly preach the Word, preach the Word, preach the Word of faith. Faith comes from God’s Word, not from all sorts of worldly stories which some preach. Our faith cannot stand in what God does for other people, it stands what God says in His Word He will do for us personally.
    Gal 1:23–NOW PREACHETH THE FAITH.
1 Tim 2:7–I AM ORDAINED A PREACHER,…AN APOSTLE,…AND…A TEACHER OF THE GENTILES IN FAITH (or trust) AND VERITY (in truth).
1 Tim 4:1,2,6–IN THE LATTER TIMES SOME SHALL DEPART FROM THE FAITH. …SOME SHALL…(go to) DOCTRINES OF DEVILS. …SOME SHALL…(have) THEIR CONSCIENCE SEARED. IF THOU PUT THE BRETHREN IN REMEMBRANCE OF THESE THINGS, THOU SHALT BE A GOOD MINISTER OF JESUS CHRIST. If a minister teaches these things, he shall be a good minister of Jesus Christ.

Lk 12:22–31–AND HE (Jesus) SAID UNTO HIS DISCIPLES, TAKE NO THOUGHT…WHAT YE SHALL EAT;…(or) PUT ON. … O YE OF LITTLE FAITH (or trust)? …YOUR FATHER KNOWETH THAT YE HAVE NEED OF THESE THINGS. BUT RATHER SEEK YE THE KINGDOM OF GOD; AND ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE ADDED UNTO YOU.

Phile 1:6–THAT THE COMMUNICATION OF THY FAITH (or trust) MAY BECOME EFFECTUAL BY THE ACKNOWLEDGING OF EVERY GOOD THING WHICH IS IN YOU IN CHRIST JESUS.

Eph 6:16–ABOVE ALL, TAKING THE SHIELD OF FAITH (or trust), WHEREWITH YE SHALL BE ABLE TO QUENCH ALL THE FIERY DARTS OF THE WICKED. Faith is a shield (it is that which protects you) which is able to put out those fiery, uptight feelings we get in our stomach, and fearful thoughts which can terrify us. Without this shield of faith, Satan can deceive us and move us about as the waves of the sea come in and out. People that do not have sound faith, who do not have on the shield of faith are sometimes referred to as people who are up and down. One hour they have a smile on their face, but the next hour they are downcast. Their thoughts and emotions move them about as a leaf tossed in the wind. When Satan attacks them in their thoughts, their emotions react negatively as their shield of faith is not strong enough to repel the fiery darts. Should their minister suggest to them that their faith in not strong they may react negatively. Such people are often difficult to correct as the voice they hear from the devil is louder than the Word of God. Their understanding of God’s Word is as their faith–it is up and down, but though an angel of God would declare this to them, they will not believe.

Eph 3:17–CHRIST MAY DWELL IN YOUR HEARTS BY FAITH (or trust); THAT YE, BEING ROOTED AND GROUNDED IN LOVE.

Eph 6:17–AND TAKE THE HELMET OF SALVATION, AND THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT, WHICH IS THE WORD OF GOD: From faith comes salvation. Salvation is a helmet which protects. God’s Word (the Bible) is the sword of the Spirit.

2 Cor 4:13–FAITH…IT IS WRITTEN, I BELIEVED, AND THEREFORE HAVE I SPOKEN; WE ALSO BELIEVE, AND THEREFORE SPEAK.

2 Cor 4:13–WE HAVING THE SAME SPIRIT OF FAITH (or trust).
Gal 3:2–RECEIVED YE THE SPIRIT BY…FAITH?

Ro 11:20–THOU STANDEST BY FAITH (or trust). BE NOT HIGHMINDED, BUT FEAR
2 Cor 1:24–BUT ARE HELPERS OF YOUR JOY: FOR BY FAITH (or trust) YE STAND.
However there are some that have put away their faith or shrunk back from their faith and become shipwrecked. Regarding such people, God’s Word says Heb 10:38–39–FAITH (or trust): BUT IF ANY MAN DRAW BACK, MY SOUL SHALL HAVE NO PLEASURE IN HIM…WHO DRAW BACK UNTO PERDITION.

Lk 17:5,6–…THE LORD SAID, IF YE HAD FAITH (or trust) AS A GRAIN OF MUSTARD SEED, YE MIGHT SAY UNTO THIS SYCAMINE TREE, BE THOU PLUCKED UP BY THE ROOT, AND BE THOU PLANTED IN THE SEA; AND IT SHOULD OBEY YOU.

Heb 11:3–THROUGH FAITH (or trust) WE UNDERSTAND. Through faith we understand God’s Word. We believe God’s Word. We understand THAT THE WORLDS WERE FRAMED BY THE WORD OF GOD, SO THAT THINGS WHICH ARE SEEN WERE NOT MADE OF THINGS WHICH DO APPEAR.

Gal 5:5–FOR WE THROUGH THE SPIRIT WAIT FOR THE HOPE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS BY FAITH (or trust). Note the words (Wait by faith).

Mk 10:46–52–BLIND BARTIMAEUS,…SAT BY THE HIGHWAY SIDE BEGGING. …JESUS SAID, GO THY WAY; THY FAITH (or trust) HATH MADE THEE WHOLE. …IMMEDIATELY HE RECEIVED HIS SIGHT, AND FOLLOWED JESUS IN THE WAY.
Lk 17:12–19–THERE MET HIM TEN MEN THAT WERE LEPERS,…THEY…SAID, JESUS, MASTER, HAVE MERCY ON US. …HE SAID…, GO SHEW YOURSELVES UNTO THE PRIESTS. …JESUS…SAID,…BUT WHERE ARE THE NINE? THERE ARE NOT FOUND THAT RETURNED TO GIVE GLORY TO GOD, SAVE THIS STRANGER. AND HE SAID UNTO HIM, ARISE, GO THY WAY: THY FAITH (or trust) HATH MADE THEE WHOLE.
Summary. Our faith (or trust) in Jesus Christ, Who is come in the flesh, is the foundation and the Chief Cornerstone. However, that faith must be real, not imagined. Faith which does not change a person’s attitude to be more like Christ is not faith. Also Gal 5:6–FOR IN JESUS CHRIST NEITHER CIRCUMCISION AVAILETH ANY THING, NOR UNCIRCUMCISION; BUT FAITH (or trust) WHICH WORKETH BY LOVE. If a person thinks they have faith, but they do not have true Biblical love for God and the brethren, then they are nothing. Faith is really no faith if Biblical love is not also present.

2 Thes 1:11–WE PRAY…THAT OUR GOD WOULD COUNT YOU (1) WORTHY OF THIS CALLING, AND (2) FULFIL ALL THE GOOD PLEASURE OF HIS GOODNESS, AND (3) THE WORK OF FAITH (or trust) WITH POWER.

68 continued–Results of our faith in Hebrews

Heb 11:13–THESE ALL DIED IN FAITH (or trust),…(and regarding) THE PROMISES,…EMBRACED THEM. This happens in our heart and in out thinking.
Heb 11:19–BY FAITH ABRAHAM, (accounted) THAT GOD WAS ABLE TO RAISE HIM UP (Isaac), EVEN FROM THE DEAD. This happens in our heart and in out thinking.
Heb 11:24,26– BY FAITH (or trust) MOSES,…HAD RESPECT UNTO THE RECOMPENCE OF THE REWARD. This happens in our heart and in out thinking.
Heb 11:27–BY FAITH (or trust) HE (Moses)…ENDURED, AS SEEING HIM WHO IS INVISIBLE. This happens in our heart and in out thinking.
Heb 11:31–BY FAITH (or trust) THE HARLOT RAHAB PERISHED NOT WITH THEM THAT BELIEVED NOT.
A brief list of some of the above includes:
    Condemned the world,
    died in faith,
    seen the promises,
    were persuaded of them,
    embraced the promises,
believed God was able to raise the dead,
    had respect regarding the reward,
endured, as seeing God who is invisible,
and perished not. There were all a result of faith in God.
Heb 11:32–40–…FOR THE TIME WOULD FAIL ME TO TELL OF GEDEON, AND OF BARAK, AND OF SAMSON, AND OF JEPHTHAE; OF DAVID ALSO, AND SAMUEL, AND OF THE PROPHETS: WHO THROUGH FAITH (or trust) in God:
    (1) SUBDUED KINGDOMS,
    (2) WROUGHT RIGHTEOUSNESS,
    (3) OBTAINED PROMISES
    (4) STOPPED THE MOUTHS OF LIONS,
    (5) QUENCHED THE VIOLENCE OF FIRE,
    (6) ESCAPED THE EDGE OF THE SWORD
    (7) OUT OF WEAKNESS WERE MADE STRONG
    (8) WAXED VALIANT IN FIGHT,
    (9) TURNED TO FLIGHT THE ARMIES OF THE ALIENS.
    (10) WOMEN RECEIVED THEIR DEAD RAISED TO LIFE AGAIN: AND
    (11) OTHERS WERE TORTURED, NOT ACCEPTING DELIVERANCE; THAT THEY MIGHT OBTAIN A BETTER RESURRECTION:
    (12) AND OTHERS HAD TRIAL OF CRUEL MOCKINGS
    (13) SCOURGINGS, YEA,
    (14) MOREOVER OF BONDS AND
    (15) IMPRISONMENT:
    (16) THEY WERE STONED,
    (17) THEY WERE SAWN ASUNDER,
    (18) WERE TEMPTED, WERE
    (19) SLAIN WITH THE SWORD: THEY
    (20) WANDERED ABOUT IN SHEEPSKINS AND GOATSKINS;
    (21) BEING DESTITUTE,
    (22) AFFLICTED
    (23) TORMENTED; (OF WHOM THE WORLD WAS NOT WORTHY:) THEY
    (24) WANDERED IN DESERTS, AND
    (25) WANDERED…IN MOUNTAINS, AND
    (26) WANDERED…IN DENS AND
    (27) WANDERED…IN…CAVES OF THE EARTH. THESE WERE ALL
    (28) COMMENDED FOR THEIR FAITH,
YET NONE OF THEM RECEIVED WHAT HAD BEEN PROMISED. GOD HAD PLANNED SOMETHING BETTER FOR US SO THAT ONLY TOGETHER WITH US WOULD THEY BE MADE PERFECT. –NIV
Of the approximate 30 items listed, the first 10 deal with things God did for them or enabled them to do because of their faith.
Number 11 through 27, which is the majority, deals with some difficulties which each true born again Christian might face. Some of today’s lukewarm church likes to emphasize what God will do for His children, but they often fail to mention the problems, temptations, hardships, persecutions, and even death that the saints have to also endure. As a result, many people fall away when these things come.

69—Faith–Because of faith, God does things
For those people that obey God and walk by faith, He may do some of these things.
Heb 11:4– BY FAITH (or trust) ABEL…(1) OBTAINED WITNESS THAT HE WAS RIGHTEOUS (from God).
Heb 11:4– BY FAITH (or trust) ABEL…(GOD TESTIFYING OF HIS GIFTS).
Heb 11:4– BY FAITH (or trust) ABEL…HE BEING DEAD YET SPEAKETH (by God’s power).
Heb 11:5–BY FAITH (or trust) ENOCH WAS TRANSLATED. This was by God’s power.
Heb 11:7–BY FAITH (or trust) NOAH, BEING WARNED OF GOD OF THINGS NOT SEEN AS YET,
Heb 11:7–BY FAITH (or trust) NOAH,…BECAME HEIR OF THE RIGHTEOUSNESS WHICH IS BY FAITH (or trust).
Heb 11:8–BY FAITH (or trust) ABRAHAM,…WAS CALLED TO GO OUT INTO A PLACE WHICH HE SHOULD AFTER RECEIVE FOR AN INHERITANCE.
Heb 11:9–BY FAITH (or trust)…ISAAC AND JACOB, THE HEIRS WITH HIM (with Abraham) OF THE SAME PROMISE.
Heb 11:11–THROUGH FAITH (or trust)…SARA…RECEIVED STRENGTH TO CONCEIVE SEED.

Heb 11:12–THEREFORE SPRANG THERE EVEN OF ONE (which was Abraham), AND HIM AS GOOD AS DEAD, SO MANY AS THE STARS OF THE SKY IN MULTITUDE, AND AS THE SAND WHICH IS BY THE SEA SHORE INNUMERABLE.
Heb 11:16–BUT NOW (because of their faith in Jesus and the promises of God) THEY DESIRE A BETTER COUNTRY, THAT IS, AN HEAVENLY: WHEREFORE GOD IS NOT ASHAMED TO BE CALLED THEIR GOD: FOR HE HATH PREPARED FOR THEM A CITY. (That city is New Jerusalem).
Heb 11:29–(God made) THE RED SEA AS BY DRY LAND.
Heb 11:30–BY FAITH (or trust) THE WALLS OF JERICHO FELL DOWN. God caused the walls of Jericho to fall down.
Because of our faith, God does these things: Summary:
A person obtains witness of righteousness.
May become an heir of righteousness.
    God testifies of your gifts.
Your body may be dead, but yet you shall live.
    May be translated.
God may warn you of things to come.
May be called to go out to a new calling.
May become an heir of the same promise
May receive God’s strength in order to accomplish His will.
God may bring some miracle through you.
God may cause something you will do to have a great effect on people’s lives.
God may prepare for you a city (New Jerusalem).
God may do that which seems impossible.
God may destroy obstacles that stand in your way that keep you from doing His will.

1 Cor 2:4,5–Unsaved man teaches WITH ENTICING WORDS OF MAN’S WISDOM.
1 Cor 2:5–The unsaved man’s faith STANDS IN THE WISDOM OF MEN. Man’s faith and hope stands in what they can see, hear, taste, touch, and smell. Man’s faith stands in what the unsaved tell them.

1 Cor 2:6–The unsaved SPEAK…THE WISDOM OF THIS WORLD.
1 Cor 2:13–The unsaved speak the things which man’s WISDOM TEACHETH.
1 Cor 2:6–The unsaved SPEAK…OF THE PRINCES OF THIS WORLD, THAT COME TO NOUGHT.

1 Cor 2:14–The unsaved MAN (does not receive or understand) THE THINGS OF THE SPIRIT OF GOD:…NEITHER CAN HE KNOW THEM, BECAUSE THEY ARE SPIRITUALLY DISCERNED. To the unsaved, the things of the Spirit (or the things of faith) (or the things of the Word of God) to him they are nonsense. He is unable to grasp them–(ref JNT)
1 Cor 2:15–The unsaved cannot Biblically or spiritually judge ALL THINGS.
1 Cor 2:16–The unsaved cannot know or understand THE MIND OF THE LORD.
1 Cor 2:16–The unsaved cannot be instructed or corrected by God because he does not know or understand the MIND OF CHRIST. The Word of God does convict people of sin, and thus they get irritated, uptight, and upset.
1 Cor 2:16–The unsaved do not HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST.

73—Faith–Of faith–of God–the saved

1 Cor 2:13–Those of God should not speak MAN’S WISDOM.

74–One faith, one doctrine. One Gospel–be not deceived
Eph 4:4–6–THERE IS ONE BODY, AND ONE SPIRIT,…ONE HOPE…ONE LORD, ONE FAITH, ONE BAPTISM, ONE GOD AND FATHER OF ALL.
Eph 4:13–TILL WE ALL COME IN THE UNITY OF THE FAITH
    Gal 3:20–GOD IS ONE.
1 Tim 2:5–THERE IS ONE GOD
Mk 12:32–THERE IS ONE GOD; AND THERE IS NONE OTHER BUT HE.
1 Tim 2:5–THERE IS ONE…MEDIATOR BETWEEN GOD AND MEN.
    1 Tim 2:5–THERE IS ONE…CHRIST JESUS.
    Ja 4:12–THERE IS ONE LAWGIVER.
Eph 2:18–WE…HAVE ACCESS BY ONE SPIRIT UNTO THE FATHER.
I Jn 5:7–THE FATHER, THE WORD, AND THE HOLY GHOST: AND THESE THREE ARE ONE.
Ja 2:19–THOU BELIEVEST THAT THERE IS ONE GOD; THOU DOEST WELL: THE DEVILS ALSO BELIEVE, AND TREMBLE.
Jn 5:45–THERE IS ONE THAT ACCUSETH YOU, EVEN MOSES, IN WHOM YE TRUST.
Jn 8:50–THERE IS ONE THAT SEEKETH AND JUDGETH.

Eph 4:4–6–THERE IS ONE BODY, ONE SPIRIT,…ONE HOPE…ONE LORD, ONE FAITH, ONE BAPTISM, ONE GOD AND FATHER OF ALL. Then following this statement, we see these words:
Eph 4:14–EVERY WIND OF DOCTRINE,…OF MEN,…THEY…WAIT TO DECEIVE. First we have a statement of doctrine and fact. Then afterwards, we note the words “Every wind of doctrine”. Man, under the guidance of Satan puts thoughts in a person’s mind. Then when man’s heart believes these lying and half truth thoughts, they become his own. Man uses every possible wind of doctrine as they wait to deceive other gullible people. Man has conceived every religious doctrine imaginable to lead people astray from the one truth.
There is only one hope. There is only one Lord Jesus. There is only one faith. There is only one God. There is only one true Gospel. There is only one way to inherit eternal life. However, man has come up with reincarnation, evolution, false science, Hinduism, Islam, thousands of cults, and so many variations of Christianity, that who can know of them all? It is estimated there are about 25,000 cults or false hopes or false faiths worldwide. There are new ones springing up, perhaps everyday somewhere. Whatever false ways to be saved that exists, or ideas that man imagines in his heart to discredit God’s Way, it has undoubtedly, already been imagined and believed by others that are already in hell, waiting for the final judgment.
Note the word Wind. Note the words “every wind”. All these false doctrines are called wind. As the wind blows from all directions, as the wind blows softly, as the wind can blow with great force, as the wind can erode and destroy, as the wind can be very deceptive, so it is with false doctrine. Beware of every wind of false doctrine. For men wait for just the right opportunity to deceive YOU with these false ways, half truths, and lies and hell has enlarged itself–ref Isa 5:13. Have you forgotten God’s Word which says SATAN,…DECEIVETH THE WHOLE WORLD–Rev 12:9? Man wants to believe Satan’s lies. His itching ears willingly chooses deceit so he can do the things he wants, live the way he desires, and have the things that is in his heart. Man heart is self centered. It is prideful. It does not want to believe God, and surrender to the God of the Bible. It does not want to humble itself and follow Jesus. As a result, Isa 5:13–14–MY PEOPLE ARE GONE INTO CAPTIVITY, BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE:…THEREFORE HELL HATH ENLARGED HERSELF, AND OPENED HER MOUTH WITHOUT MEASURE: (Man’s) GLORY, THEIR POMP,…(and) HE THAT REJOICETH, SHALL DESCEND INTO IT. Isa 5:20–WOE UNTO THEM THAT CALL EVIL GOOD, AND GOOD EVIL; THAT PUT DARKNESS FOR LIGHT, AND LIGHT FOR DARKNESS; THAT PUT BITTER FOR SWEET, AND SWEET FOR BITTER! Isa 5:24–THEREFORE AS…THE FLAME CONSUMETH THE CHAFF, SO…THEIR BLOSSOM SHALL GO UP AS DUST: BECAUSE THEY HAVE CAST AWAY THE LAW OF THE LORD OF HOSTS, AND DESPISED THE WORD OF THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL. Man’s wicked and deceitful heart chooses to distort and reject some or all of God’s Word especially when it is contrary to his deceitful imaginations, beliefs and desires. There are far, far more people that follow Satan’s voice than the voice of God. There are many, many, many people that think they are saved, but only a FEW THAT really are–ref Mt 7. There are many that despise correction from God’s Word, but only a few that have a childlike heart to receive it. It is those few that God not only calls, but also chooses. The words of the Bible that man rejects are the very words that shall judge him at the judgment. Are you one of them?
A warning: There is one Jesus, One Spirit, One Gospel. Beware of another Jesus, another spirit, another Gospel
2 Cor 11:3–4–BUT I FEAR, LEST BY ANY MEANS, AS THE SERPENT BEGUILED EVE THROUGH HIS SUBTILTY, SO YOUR MINDS SHOULD BE CORRUPTED. …FOR IF HE THAT COMETH PREACHETH ANOTHER JESUS,…OR IF YE RECEIVE ANOTHER SPIRIT, WHICH YE HAVE NOT RECEIVED, OR ANOTHER GOSPEL,…YOU (might) PUT UP WITH IT EASILY ENOUGH (NIV)
GAL 1:6–8, 11–I MARVEL THAT YE ARE SO SOON REMOVED…TO ANOTHER GOSPEL:…WHICH IS NOT ANOTHER; …THERE BE SOME THAT.WOULD PERVERT THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST. BUT THOUGH WE,…PREACH ANY OTHER GOSPEL…LET HIM BE ACCURSED. I CERTIFY YOU, BRETHREN, THAT THE GOSPEL WHICH WAS PREACHED OF ME IS NOT AFTER MAN.

75—One faith, but much more
There is only one faith. Eph 4:4,5–THERE IS ONE BODY,…ONE SPIRIT…ONE HOPE…ONE LORD, ONE FAITH, ONE BAPTISM, ONE GOD AND FATHER OF ALL.
1 Tim 2:5–FOR THERE IS ONE GOD, AND ONE MEDIATOR BETWEEN GOD AND MEN, THE MAN CHRIST JESUS.
Jn 10:16–AND THERE SHALL BE ONE FOLD, AND ONE SHEPHERD.
Look around you. What do you see? You may see many different people. Yet does not God’s Word tell us that we are to be one body, one bread, one with another, all in one accord, one in Christ, every one members one of another, one heart, one soul, of one mind, the same mind, likeminded, perfectly joined together, with one mouth, speak the same things, no divisions, perfectly joined together, and in the same judgment, preferring one another, kindly affectioned one with another, living in peace, striving or working together for the faith, forbearing one another, submitting one to another, clothed with humility, and loving one another. So what we should see—is one. The body of Christ is to be one family with one Father which is eternal. Have you not read:
Jn 17:11–HOLY FATHER, KEEP…THOSE WHOM THOU HAST GIVEN ME, THAT THEY MAY BE ONE, AS WE ARE.
Jn 17:21–THAT THEY ALL MAY BE ONE; AS THOU, FATHER, ART IN ME, AND I IN THEE, THAT THEY ALSO MAY BE ONE IN US.
Eph 4:25–WE ARE MEMBERS ONE OF ANOTHER.
Jn 17:22–23–GLORY…I HAVE GIVEN THEM; THAT THEY MAY BE ONE, EVEN AS WE ARE ONE: I IN THEM, AND THOU IN ME, THAT THEY MAY BE MADE PERFECT IN ONE.
Gal 3:28–THERE IS NEITHER JEW NOR GREEK,…BOND NOR FREE,…MALE NOR FEMALE: FOR YE ARE ALL ONE IN CHRIST JESUS.

Ro 12:5–WE, BEING MANY, ARE ONE BODY IN CHRIST, AND EVERY ONE MEMBERS ONE OF ANOTHER.
1 Cor 10:17–WE BEING MANY ARE ONE BREAD, AND ONE BODY. If we are partakers of Christ, we are one bread and one body.
1 Cor 12:12–FOR…THE BODY IS ONE,.ALL THE MEMBERS OF THAT ONE BODY,.ARE ONE BODY: SO ALSO IS CHRIST.

    Phili 2:2–(Be) OF ONE ACCORD.
Acts 1:14–THESE ALL CONTINUED WITH ONE ACCORD IN PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION,…WITH HIS BRETHREN.
Acts 2:1–THEY WERE ALL WITH ONE ACCORD IN ONE PLACE.
Acts 2:46–47–THEY, CONTINUING DAILY WITH ONE ACCORD IN THE TEMPLE, AND BREAKING BREAD FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE,…WITH GLADNESS AND SINGLENESS OF HEART, PRAISING GOD.
Acts 4:24–THEY LIFTED UP THEIR VOICE TO GOD WITH ONE ACCORD, AND SAID, LORD, THOU ART GOD.
Acts 15:25–IT SEEMED GOOD UNTO US, BEING ASSEMBLED WITH ONE ACCORD.

Acts 4:32–AND THE MULTITUDE OF THEM THAT BELIEVED WERE OF ONE HEART AND OF ONE SOUL: NEITHER SAID ANY OF THEM THAT OUGHT OF THE THINGS WHICH HE POSSESSED WAS HIS OWN; BUT THEY HAD ALL THINGS COMMON.

1 Pe 3:8–…BE YE ALL OF ONE MIND.
Ro 15:5–GOD…GRANT YOU TO BE LIKEMINDED ONE TOWARD ANOTHER ACCORDING TO CHRIST JESUS:
    Phili 2:2–BE LIKEMINDED.

1 Cor 1:10–BUT THAT YE BE PERFECTLY JOINED TOGETHER IN THE SAME MIND AND IN THE SAME JUDGMENT.
Ro 15:6–…WITH ONE MIND AND ONE MOUTH GLORIFY GOD.
2 Cor 13:11–…BRETHREN, BE PERFECT,…BE OF ONE MIND, LIVE IN PEACE; AND THE GOD OF LOVE AND PEACE SHALL BE WITH YOU.
Acts 7:26–27–HE SHEWED HIMSELF.WOULD HAVE SET THEM AT ONE AGAIN, SAYING, SIRS, YE ARE BRETHREN; WHY DO YE WRONG ONE TO ANOTHER? BUT HE THAT DID HIS NEIGHBOUR WRONG THRUST HIM AWAY, SAYING, WHO MADE THEE A RULER AND A JUDGE OVER US? Who is it that will not be one with the brethren as God commands? It is a person that has wrong thinking. It is he that has a wrong, ungodly attitude. It is a person with an accusing attitude. It is a person that justifies himself contrary to the Gospel. It can be a person that does not want to admit they sin. It is the unrepentant. It is he whose heart is not right before a holy God.

Ro 12:10–BE KINDLY AFFECTIONED ONE TO ANOTHER WITH BROTHERLY LOVE.

    Ro 12:10–Prefere ONE ANOTHER.

Phili 1:27–(Strive) TOGETHER FOR THE FAITH OF THE GOSPEL.

1 Pe 3:8–(Have) COMPASSION ONE OF ANOTHER.

    1 Pe 3:8–BE COURTEOUS.

1 Pe 5:5–LIKEWISE, YE YOUNGER, SUBMIT YOURSELVES UNTO THE ELDER.

1 Pe 5:5–…ALL OF YOU BE SUBJECT ONE TO ANOTHER.

1 Pe 5:5–BE CLOTHED WITH HUMILITY: FOR GOD RESISTETH THE PROUD, AND GIVETH GRACE TO THE HUMBLE

    1 Pe 3:8–LOVE AS BRETHREN.
    Phili 2:2–HAVING THE SAME LOVE.
Jn 13:34–We are to LOVE ONE ANOTHER AS Jesus have loved us.

The double minded are admonished to purify their hearts–ref Ja 4:8. How can we do this?
    1–Draw near to God
2–Admit you are a sinner, and your heart is wicked and deceitful
    3–Cleanse your hands
4–Be afflicted. Stop laughing and start crying
    5–Humble yourself
6–Stop speaking evil of the brethren.
7–Stop judging the brethren and God's Word.
    8–Start obeying God's Word
9–Start loving the brethren as Christ does with a pure heart fervently. Stop judging and accusing them, for it is written:
1 Pe 1:22–SEEING YE HAVE PURIFIED YOUR SOULS IN (1) OBEYING THE TRUTH (2) THROUGH THE SPIRIT (3) UNTO UNFEIGNED LOVE OF THE BRETHREN, SEE THAT YE (3) LOVE ONE ANOTHER WITH A (4) PURE HEART FERVENTLY

1 Tim 1:2–6–UNTO TIMOTHY, MY OWN SON IN THE FAITH:.CHARGE SOME THAT THEY TEACH NO OTHER DOCTRINE, (except)…GODLY EDIFYING WHICH IS IN FAITH (or trust). …THE END OF THE COMMANDMENT IS CHARITY (or love) OUT OF A PURE HEART,…A GOOD CONSCIENCE, AND OF FAITH (or trust). …SOME…HAVE TURNED ASIDE UNTO VAIN JANGLING.
Gal 5:26–LET US NOT BE DESIROUS OF VAIN GLORY, PROVOKING ONE ANOTHER, ENVYING ONE ANOTHER.

In many churches and ministries, I suppose there are renegades that want to teach contrary to good sound doctrine. These are not pleasing to the Lord. Paul singles out two brethren by name that appear to have been this and admonishes and corrects them personally. Paul said: Phili 4:2–I BESEECH EUODIAS, AND BESEECH SYNTYCHE, THAT THEY BE OF THE SAME MIND IN THE LORD. All of you hearing or reading this should carefully take heed to yourselves. If you are out of sink, with the Gospel, the Spirit led minister, and the rest of the brethren, you have need to repent. I said, you have need to repent. Is it not written that a house that is divided against itself cannot stand?
1 Pe 4:1–FORASMUCH THEN AS CHRIST HATH SUFFERED FOR US IN THE FLESH, ARM YOURSELVES LIKEWISE WITH THE SAME MIND: FOR HE THAT HATH SUFFERED IN THE FLESH HATH CEASED FROM SIN.
1 Jn 1:7–IF WE WALK IN THE LIGHT, AS HE IS IN THE LIGHT, WE HAVE FELLOWSHIP ONE WITH ANOTHER, AND THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST HIS SON CLEANSETH US FROM ALL SIN. It may also be said that if we do not walk in the light as He is in the light, then we do not have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son does not cleanse us from all sin.

76—Faith. Bible test to see if you are saved
2 Tim 3:10–12,14–BUT THOU HAST FULLY KNOWN MY DOCTRINE (or teaching), MANNER (or way) OF LIFE, PURPOSE, FAITH, (or trust) LONGSUFFERING (or patience), CHARITY (or love), PATIENCE (or endurance), PERSECUTIONS, AFFLICTIONS (or sufferings),…ALL THAT WILL LIVE GODLY IN CHRIST JESUS SHALL SUFFER PERSECUTION. CONTINUE…IN THE THINGS WHICH THOU HAST LEARNED (and have become convinced of–NIV).
These 11 things should testify if a person is a true Christian or a bastard. Examine yourself. Do these things testify that you are a real Christian in deed and in truth or an impostor? Most people that call themselves a Christian fail this test. Their fruits are not the fruits of God, their life does not reflect Jesus, and they have not come to true Biblical repentance.
1–You have learned and believe correct Biblical doctrine. (For Biblical doctrine note Heb 5:11 through Heb 6:3. This includes believing in Jesus Christ, repentance, and after obeying God’s Word which includes being baptized by full immersion in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost–ref Mt 28:19. It includes believing and confessing that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh.)
2–You are living a Biblical life that is pleasing to God.
3–The purpose of your life is to deny self, follow Jesus, learn of Jesus, glorify Him, and do the works which He has prepared for you to do.
4–Your only hope of salvation is through trusting in Jesus Christ.
5–You are learning or have learned to be patient regarding people and situations.
6–You love God, and also love your brothers and sisters in Christ according to the Biblical definition of love.
7–You have learned endurance in Christ Jesus and waiting on the Lord.
8–You have been persecuted, and should be persecuted for your faith in Jesus Christ
9–You shall go through various types of sufferings because of your faith in Jesus Christ to prove your faith genuine.
10–You live a Godly life in Christ Jesus which should include fearing God, running the race, being a good soldier of Christ, and striving for holiness and perfection.
11–You continue in and obey the Word of God. You do not shrink back. You equip yourself with God’s Word so you can be ready to do God’s calling.

Will you hear the words, “WELL DONE THOU GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT?” Examine yourself by God's Word to see if you are in the Faith before it is too late. Seek Godly counsel and correction from your God fearing minister, whose faith, fruits, testimony, and works testify he is following God.
Titus 1:1–PAUL, A SERVANT OF GOD,.
ACCORDING TO THE FAITH (or trust) OF GOD’S ELECT,
AND THE ACKNOWLEDGING OF THE TRUTH WHICH IS AFTER GODLINESS.
Without Biblical faith (which is the faith of God’s elect), there is no salvation. Your own deceived thoughts can take you to the lake of fire. Without believing God’s Word which is after Godliness, there is no salvation. Your faith cannot exceed your knowledge and understanding of the Bible for faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Are you a servant of God, first in studying or hearing God’s Word, and then doing the works which God has prepared for you to do from before the foundation of the world?

77—One event to all
Ecc 9:2, 3–THERE IS ONE EVENT TO THE RIGHTEOUS, AND TO THE WICKED; TO THE GOOD AND TO THE CLEAN, AND TO THE UNCLEAN; TO HIM THAT SACRIFICETH, AND TO HIM THAT SACRIFICETH NOT: THERE IS ONE EVENT UNTO ALL: YEA,.THE HEART OF THE SONS OF MEN IS FULL OF EVIL. …MADNESS IS IN THEIR HEART WHILE THEY LIVE, AND AFTER THAT THEY GO TO THE DEAD. Heb 9:27–IT IS APPOINTED UNTO MEN ONCE TO DIE, BUT AFTER THIS THE JUDGMENT.

78—Faith and The World Hates a message that Proves Jesus Is The Christ
Acts 9:22–24–BUT SAUL INCREASED THE MORE IN STRENGTH, AND CONFOUNDED THE JEWS WHICH DWELT AT DAMASCUS, PROVING THAT THIS IS VERY CHRIST.
Saul proved beyond any doubt at all, that Jesus is deity, that He is very Christ. Did the people therefore humble themselves and repent? No. THE JEWS TOOK COUNSEL TO KILL HIM. THEY WATCHED THE GATES DAY AND NIGHT TO KILL HIM–Acts 9:23,24. It is the same today. The world wants to silence those that take a stand and can prove that Jesus is God, that He is come in the flesh. Saul, later Paul was falsely accused. He was put in Jail. He was whipped. He suffered greatly. One can imagine that at the end of his life, his body was both frail and a scarred mess. Paul tells us of himself: 2 Cor 11:23–28–ARE THEY SERVANTS OF CHRIST? (I AM OUT OF MY MIND TO TALK LIKE THIS.) I AM MORE. I HAVE WORKED MUCH HARDER, BEEN IN PRISON MORE FREQUENTLY, BEEN FLOGGED MORE SEVERELY, AND BEEN EXPOSED TO DEATH AGAIN AND AGAIN. FIVE TIMES I RECEIVED FROM THE JEWS THE FORTY LASHES MINUS ONE. THREE TIMES I WAS BEATEN WITH RODS, ONCE I WAS STONED, THREE TIMES I WAS SHIPWRECKED, I SPENT A NIGHT AND A DAY IN THE OPEN SEA, I HAVE BEEN CONSTANTLY ON THE MOVE. I HAVE BEEN IN DANGER FROM RIVERS, IN DANGER FROM BANDITS, IN DANGER FROM MY OWN COUNTRYMEN, IN DANGER FROM GENTILES; IN DANGER IN THE CITY, IN DANGER IN THE COUNTRY, IN DANGER AT SEA; AND IN DANGER FROM FALSE BROTHERS. I HAVE LABORED AND TOILED (in weariness and painfulness–KJV) AND HAVE OFTEN GONE WITHOUT SLEEP; I HAVE KNOWN HUNGER AND THIRST AND HAVE OFTEN GONE WITHOUT FOOD; I HAVE BEEN COLD AND NAKED. BESIDES EVERYTHING ELSE, I FACE DAILY THE PRESSURE OF MY CONCERN FOR ALL THE CHURCHES (NIV).

79—Finally brethren
1 Pe 3:8–12–LIVE IN HARMONY (be ye all of one mind–KJV) WITH ONE ANOTHER; BE SYMPATHETIC (having compassion), LOVE AS BROTHERS, BE COMPASSIONATE AND HUMBLE (or courteous). DO NOT REPAY EVIL WITH EVIL OR INSULT WITH INSULT,…(you) MUST KEEP (your) TONGUE FROM EVIL AND (your) LIPS FROM DECEITFUL SPEECH. …TURN FROM EVIL AND DO GOOD; …SEEK PEACE AND PURSUE IT. FOR THE EYES OF THE LORD ARE ON THE RIGHTEOUS AND HIS EARS ARE ATTENTIVE TO THEIR PRAYER, BUT THE FACE OF THE LORD IS AGAINST THOSE WHO DO EVIL (NIV).
1 Pe 3:15–16–ALWAYS BE PREPARED TO GIVE AN ANSWER TO EVERYONE WHO ASKS YOU TO GIVE THE REASON FOR THE HOPE THAT YOU HAVE. BUT DO THIS WITH GENTLENESS AND RESPECT, KEEPING A CLEAR CONSCIENCE, SO THAT THOSE WHO SPEAK MALICIOUSLY AGAINST YOUR GOOD BEHAVIOR IN CHRIST MAY BE ASHAMED OF THEIR SLANDER.
Eph 4:25–WHEREFORE PUTTING AWAY LYING, SPEAK EVERY MAN TRUTH WITH HIS NEIGHBOUR: FOR WE ARE MEMBERS ONE OF ANOTHER.
Heb 12:1–2–WHEREFORE SEEING WE ALSO ARE COMPASSED ABOUT WITH SO GREAT A CLOUD OF WITNESSES, LET US LAY ASIDE EVERY WEIGHT (or every obstacle or every distraction), AND THE SIN WHICH DOTH SO EASILY BESET US, AND LET US RUN WITH PATIENCE THE RACE THAT IS SET BEFORE US, LOOKING UNTO JESUS THE AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF OUR FAITH (or trust); WHO…ENDURED THE CROSS, DESPISING THE SHAME.

80—Faith–Miscellaneous
1 Thes 1:3–REMEMBERING WITHOUT CEASING YOUR WORK OF FAITH (or trust), AND LABOUR OF LOVE
